《Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]》Book 4 Prologue: Erion's Nostalgia and Sigmund's Annoyance

Headmaster Erion calmly paced through the hallways of his expansive academy, The Academy.
He laughed silently as he recalled the ridiculous way in which the most famous and powerful magic school on the continent of Teresta came to be named. It was a funny story that he knew no one would believe unless they were there when it actually happened.
The few students who had chosen to stay during their mid-year break that caught sight of their headmaster smiling found themselves subconsciously bowing in the wake of his brightness.
He purposefully didn't emit his Divine aura so he didn't knock anyone out, but regardless, everyone that he met was always charmed by him. However, there were exceptions to this rule. The Adventurer's Guild's Grand Guildmaster, for example.
He hummed happily as he wandered down from the fourth floor of The Academy all the way down to the sixth level of the basement.
This was a restricted area that no one bar Headmaster Erion himself was allowed to enter. It was even more heavily protected than the private dungeon on the fifth floor. In fact, it was impossible to enter unless you were Erion or the room's creator. Only the room's creator himself could control who was allowed inside and who wasn't.
Some Divine's in the past had tried to force their way in to find the secrets of the headmaster and perhaps advance to the level of the Ancients. Foolishness. That was all Erion could think of as he remembered such people dying gruesome deaths to the room's defensive mechanisms.
'Even I could not enter this room if he wished me not to,' Erion thought to himself as he stared at the massive magic circle that was currently inactive. The last time it had been used was exactly one million years ago. Not a year later nor sooner.

"it shouldn't be too long now until your final use is made," he whispered to the magic circle as a nostalgic look surfaced onto his face. "The next time I come here, you'll finally get to see your master again. Doesn't that make you happy?"
Silence was his only answer. "As shy as always. You unranked ego tools are so hard to get along with," Erion sighed.
He left the room and returned to The Grand Spire, his home. Once he had finally reached his desk, he started to battle the paperwork that had built up from his short trip to the basement. Sometimes he wished that he hadn't created a magical autonomous system to filter paperwork to his office.
He adjusted his glasses before mumbling, "Not much longer, old friend."
"When was the last time that I was summoned like this?" Sigmund, the Grand Templar of the Church of The Primals complained as he entered The Grand Cathedral of The Primals.
His heavy armour rustled and disturbed the visitors and priests alike, but once they saw who was making the racket, they all just bowed their heads in reverence.
He had no time to entertain such fools, so he simply made his way up the cathedral's many sets of stairs until he had reached its apex: The Archpope's Study.
He could feel his body starting to sweat. 'Damn it. Can't that woman ever learn how to rein in her Ancient aura? It's not that different from what I'm doing with my Divine aura. The thrice-damned woman just wants to show off.'
Sigmund took a deep breath and then knocked on the door gently.
"Come in, Sigmund," an elderly and feminine voice said from the other side of the door.
Doing as he was told, he turned the handle and stepped inside. He tried his best to ignore the yellow mote of light that was sealed inside of a finger-sized bottle but to no avail. 'No matter how many times I see it, it's still insane to think that she captured one of the Primals...'

"If I might be so bold, what did you summon me for, Your Holy Eminence?" he asked as he lowered himself to one knee and bowed his head in the direction of the seated woman.
Moving her elegant robes slightly, she approached the captured primal and stroked its bottle lightly. "An enemy of the faith has appeared."
Sigmund held his breath as he felt the raw power flowing forth from the woman's elderly body. 'As expected from the fourth strongest Ancient... How scary... I feel like I'm going to get crushed if I even slightly raise my head...'
"Find the one known as 'Lone Immortus'. He has corrupted three of the mighty Primals and harbours the lost one, Void. He must be executed for his crimes. Have him captured and brought before me," Her Holy Eminence demanded.
"Of course!" Sigmund replied with enthusiasm. Playing the part was one of his duties, after all. "If I might be so audacious, may I know his general whereabouts and his estimated strength?"
Her Holy Eminence sighed softly before she returned to her chair. "It is your job to discover these things yourself, Sigmund."
"O-Of course. Forgive my arrogance," Sigmund begged as he lowered himself even further.
"He can be found to the east. You can discover the rest on your own. It is to my understanding that he is purposely flaunting himself and his strength, so I doubt it to be out of your capabilities to learn all that you need." Her eyes sharpened as she focused her aura on Sigmund's body, sending chills all along his spine and stopping his lungs from working. "Do not disappoint me like with the Void incident."
"O-Of course, Your Holy Eminence!" Sigmund wanted to cry. He was supposed to be on a paid vacation, but now he had been given a job that he couldn't refuse and it would result in his death most likely should he fail. 'I wish I could retire...'
