《A Bored Immortal's Adventure with Reincarnation》Chapter 36: I Get Interrogated......

After an interesting climb out of the hidden room ninja style~ (there had been a ladder, but I opted not to use it) I gathered up my heavy bundle of bags and went to find Adrian. I didn’t get far before I found Adrian and everyone else heading in my direction. Hmmm, he must have guessed that I would finish my job quickly. I immediately slumped my head and shoulders in a defeated and tired manner. I moved slowly to Adrian.
“I-I’ve cleaned all of the r-rooms sir…...”
I bent even lower as I addressed Adrian, a boot suddenly collided with my ribs, but I barely felt it because of my sturdy body. The Lord Redsword was the one who had kicked me.
“You address me first, Creature, and then my son. Hmph, trash like you must be disciplined at every opportunity.”
Hold it in...Hold it in Felix, it would be over too soon if you just rip him to shreds before utterly humiliating him, Deep breaths……….Haaaaaaaaa…………..I groveled in front of the abhorrent Lord.
“S-sorry my Lord, I-I will remember to do better next time…...”
I took a few submissive steps back, taking the Redsword Lord out of a easily reachable range of attack…...for his own safety. Man, usually I was better at controlling myself, but ever since I’d learned about what he did to Adrian, all I wanted to do was rip his ‘Lordship’ and her ‘Ladyship’ into shreds…..
Lord Deathwish swept past me with a derisive swipe and moved towards the rooms, calling out for everyone to follow him. As soon as I had unloaded all the bags I was held responsible for in the appropriate rooms, his Lordship caught my arm in a firm grip, stopping me from heading to a room of my own.
“You do not have the station to stay in my house, you will sleep in the village with your….parents.”
Yeah right, I wasn’t planning to visit my parents until they calmed down from the excitement of their children's early return, which by my estimate, would take about three or four days. Oh well, I can always just sleep in the forest……..wasn’t there some reason I didn’t want to go to sleep?.......Eh, if I can’t remember, it was probably not important…..or too dreadful to remember…..I left the mansion under the eyes of the Redswords in a properly lowly and pitiful manner, then as soon as I was out of sight, I sprinted towards the forest. No way was I taking a chance of the monsters catching me, using Aaron as a distraction only worked once every incidence.
I felt the forest swallow me in it’s warm embrace as I darted into the trees. It was a familiar feeling that any forest gave me, my shoulders instinctively relaxed, but I continued to move into the forest at a quick pace, I couldn’t pick a spot too close to the forest, or else I would risk being found by my parents. I finally slowed when I entered the middle rank magical beast area, and darted up into one of the large trees. Moving high enough up the tree that no one would be able to see me from the ground, I found two sturdy branches on roughly the same level and strung up a cloth hammock I had made during my training run to brush up my concentration by doing two things at once.

Settling into the hammock, I sighed as the soft rocking of the hammock soothed my tortured and tired body to sleep.
Void’s point of view:
I sat on Papa’s chest, looking at his peaceful face for a long moment, then turned to the metal band and foreband that were my friends Misty and Arvid.
-To fall asleep so easily.......Did he forget about my next growth?-
Misty swirled slightly around Papa’s arm.
-Yep, he didn’t want to deal with it, so he totally forgot about it…...we’ll have to keep an eye out for this in the future, such a habit could be troublesome…….-
“Yeah, for an immortal, Boss sure is forgetful….or maybe it’s because he’s immortal that he forgets so easily? Too many memories?”
At Arvid’s words, I turned my head to look at Papa’s face again, despite the fact that sleep had relaxed his face, he still gave off a mischievous air, yet there were also one or two tired lines around the corners of Papa’s eyes that actually made him look older than his current youthful appearance. I gave a soft sigh and laid my head on Papa’s chest.
-I think you may be right, Arvid…..I also think we haven’t seen all of the real Papa, I think we caught a glimpse when he got so angry about what Adrian’s parents did to him…...but most of the time Papa is just fun and focused on playing with people…..-
Misty stroked my head with a soft metal strand.
-I get the feeling that master doesn’t even realize he’s doing this, some people get so good at lying and illusions that they don’t even realize when they’re doing it to themselves, and master is the best trickster I’ve ever met…...-
I gave a small nod, pressing my chin into Papa’s chest.
-Then we’ll just have to work on digging out the real Papa!-
“Ahaha, that’s the right attitude kid, now, onto more merry topics, what are you going to do to Boss?”
I turned my head to look at Arvid, who had materialized on one of the branches Papa used to set up his hammock thingy.
-Mh, I was thinking the ability to change size, I’m getting tired of being small all the time, but I don’t want it to be permanent because I like laying on Papa’s shoulders…..-
A wide grin broke across Arvid’s face.
“And it would erase one of the excuses Boss is using to stop from marrying that crazy Raina lady~”
I blinked at him innocently.
-I think she’s a good match for Papa in intensity! I would like to have an interesting Mama!-
Arvid stared at me for a long moment, then patted my head.
“I don’t understand your thought process, but I have a feeling you’ve picked up Boss’s deviousness.”
I blinked sleepily at him, the pull of my next growth…..no...evolution drawing me into sleep. Why is my thought process wierd?
Felix’s Point of View.
I-I CAN”T BREATHE!!!

I woke to an Extremely Heavy weight pressing down on my chest, I seized the heavy thing and with much difficulty, tossed it out of my hammock. I sighed, and settled back into my hammock, intending to go back to sleep……..had my hammock shrunk? For some reason it felt a lot smaller than when I first fell asleep……..Heavy wings beats interrupted my puzzled thoughts, and made my hammock swing wildly.
-Papa! Why did you throw me out so suddenly!-
……...It couldn’t be…….
“.......Void?”
“Yep!”
I suddenly became aware that my body was much bigger than it used to be……….and stark naked!
“Nonononononononono, I don’t want to get married, shrink! shrink! shrink! shrink!”
Surprisingly…...I shrunk! I sighed with relief as I returned to my natural child size……then grabbed Void out of the air, he was also back to his original size.
“No one will speak of this, Void, you will not change shape unless there are dire circumstances, Raina is brilliant at figuring things out that she is interested in! I don’t want to get married!”
I felt Void nod frantically, giving a short wheeze of air. I let him go.
“Boss………..why are you so set against getting married?”
I held out a hand.
“Arvid, please give me some clothes.”
There was an awkward stretch of silence.
“........nice try, no answer, no clothes!”
Tch……
“I-I prefer women who are closer to my age!”
…...Silence.
“.......Boss, you like old grandmas!!!???”
My face flushed, people always say that!
“No!!!! I don’t mean appearance wise, just…..experience wise, I prefer Young-looking mature woman who have had at least a few thousand years of experience behind them”
Misty swirled on my arm.
-Hehe, so you’re a picky one, master, that’s it, neh?-
My face was burning, I held a hand out.
“Clothes!”
“Well…..I suppose you did answer the question…..here you go Boss!”
A pile of suspiciously frilly clothes dropped onto my arm…...I promptly burned them.
Misty poked me.
-Awwww, I spent all night altering that dress to fit you…….-
“I do not crossdress when there is not a reason to do so! I’m going to check out the center of the forest, so I need clothes that blend in and are easy to move in!”
-But it suits you so well…….-
Yes it did…..but that’s not a reason to wear it all the time!
I held out my arm again.
“Arvid?”
Proper stealth clothes dropped onto my arm, Formfitting but flexible leggings and longsleeved tunic, which I assumed Arvid had properly colored a dark mix of browns and green. Hopping out of the tree, I darted to the edge of the forest and waited, I had to guide the students to their training spot before having my fun adventure…….It took thirty minutes for the students to arrive, Raina at the head of their group. Hmmmm, Raina’s steps sounded heavier than usual, as though she was carrying a body…….Ah! That must be Aaron! I remained hidden in the edge of the forest, no way of knowing if the reality-defying parents could be nearby…...Raina marched straight into the forest, not even pausing to look for me, while everyone else hesitantly followed her after a long look at the forest. Following the group for another ten minutes as they trekked into the forest without revealing myself, I then determined it was safe enough from my parents to reveal myself, I silently slid up next to Raina. She continued walking, not verbally acknowledging me, but I felt her dip her head slightly in greeting.
It took six hours hours to get the students to the area I picked because they had no idea how to move through the forest, which caused us to move just a bit faster than a snail's pace…..Aaron woke up halfway through the arduously slow hike, and I promptly slapped several bands onto his wrists that increase gravity, heat, and the all-important complete control band that would force Aaron’s body to train in the very rigorous training regime I had crafted for him! As soon as he realized the bands were on his arms, I could feel Aaron staring at me in horror, I waved happily at him as his body shot away from the group at top speed.
Ehehehe, I love revenge training!
As soon as we reached the place I had selected for the training area, I turned and bowed slightly to Raina.
“I leave them in your capable hands.”
Then I shot away from the group, darting up into the trees and then going straight for the center of the forest.
YAAAAYYYYYY!!! Fun Stuff Here I come!!!
Once I reached the area where the top high rank beasts stayed, I slowed down, now was a time to focus on stealth, not speed. I leapt from branch to branch, my bare feet placed careful in order to not make any sound. As I gradually passed the high rank area, I sensed beasts below me beyond the level of high rank, it sent my mind spinning, could there be a rank in this world above the human high rank?.....Or were these all just extraordinary magical beasts whose high rank levels were higher than normal magical beasts? Either option would be exciting…..The further I went, the higher in strength I felt in the magical beasts that occasionally passed below me. I held my breath in excitement, so many fun toys! I got so excited, in fact, that I am ashamed to admit……..I lost my concentration and awareness of my surroundings……..and suddenly a blade was being pressed against my neck.
“What are you doing in my people's territory?”
