《Malt the Manslayer》*meta* - Important message

So this talk has been a long time coming. I’m sure it’s clear to all of you that the pacing for the story has been extremely stunted for the past few months. In fact I planned for Malt to be out of the forest and into different lands long, long ago, but haven’t been able to find the motivation nor time to realize this.
Which brings us to the current moment, where I’m going through a bit of a turbulent splotch in the year. I’m sure most of you have twigged that I’m a student at this point, and with being a student comes the dreaded end year exams. It’s not so much that I don’t have the time to write, but more that stress has been rearing its ugly head recently.
So long story short, I’m going to be on hiatus until at least the worst of those are over, which encompasses the next two weeks. This makes me feel a little shit knowing that I've been skimping out on chapters recently as well, but I'd still like to dedicate this time to classes.
To all of you that have stuck with this story (you know who you are) despite the turbulence: I haven’t really felt all that amazing about what I’ve been writing recently, but the fact that y’all still read and enjoy it makes me genuinely happy. Seriously.
I know that was real vent-y and this went on much longer than I had anticipated, but I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to go through this, and I hope to see some of you even after these trouble weeks are over. Stay safe everyone.

The Precursor Paradox
Mankind. Their legends are legion amongst the stars but most agree that their empire once spanned a thousand worlds. The myths speak of stellar mages and their battles against primordial beasts to bring life into a barren universe. Whatever their story, the humans vanished and left behind wondrous wrecks of ancient technology. In times of desperate need, some may claim, they will return once more. If those voices are to be believed, an ancient space station at the border of the galaxy speaks ill portents. Waking from a slumber aeons long, it brought with it the last of the humans it had kept in stasis. Enter a story of magic and technology where mages battle with lightning and spaceships alike. Follow along as they explore the remnants of their golden age and rebuild their civilization from dust. They’re the paradox, the precursors come back to haunt the present.
