《May Aien Have Mercy》Hiatus?

Hello there...
TL;DR: Hiatus for now. Maybe forever. In case of forever: There will be some chapters to bring the story to an end (summary-like epilogue). But that might be months away because that would mean dropping the novel for sure.
Unfortunately, I have to announce that I'll be going on an (even) longer, indefinite break. I have to admit that, because of my time constraints, I'm severely lacking in motivation to spend a lot of my time on writing. I've kept trying to force myself into some sort of a schedule, but as you've seen, that didn't work out quite well... Repeatedly. Most of the stuff I've forcefully written during that time was simply lacking too much in quality, making the editing process all the more painful and time-consuming for me to be somewhat satisfied.
That said, I won't just leave this novel as it is. In case I come back to writing this novel, which would be in two months' earliest, then great. If not, and I decide to drop it entirely (a little more below), I will still finish off the story in the form of a narration. After all, I've already thought out all of the major plotlines, how the story progresses and ends. It'd basically be a summary after all the events have ended - a long epilogue if you will, told by a narrator. Probably even a few chapters in length.
For those of you (if you exist) that might be interested in my general future as a writer and potential other work:
I'm yet unsure how much I want to continue writing. I've never written anything creative before, putting school aside, and only recently realized that I quite enjoy it. So It came as a big surprise for me that a lot of people apparently liked what I've written.

Then, as it is usual I guess, I got a lot of other ideas that slowly create a conflict of interest in what I might want to write. Some of them are more fleshed out, some not. The story of Aien was simply the first thing I've thought of that I judged as a decent, unique, creative...etc idea, and I went with it, mostly winging it all.
I don't really know whether my lack of motivation is coming just from time restraints (definitely a huge part though) or because of the story itself. Or if writing was just a one-time thing for me that I couldn't even finish. So I hope that will become clearer to me eventually.
Anyways, for those that stick around, I'll certainly give you an update eventually.
Thank you all for reading so far and sorry for temporarily ending it like this. Until then!

Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

Prism - Seekers of Solace (A LitRPG Saga)
The Virtual Revolution is in full swing and empty streets dot the landscape, vestiges of a foregone era. Seeking to escape the harshness of the outside world, humanity has turned to VR. And the unlucky few unable to enter this virtual realm must make do however they can.But Prism, the most advanced VRMMORPG, promises to change all that: countless possibilities, no restrictions, and cutting edge tech that allows even those afflicted by VR Sickness to full-dive into its world.Join Ryan and those around him as they try to find a place to call their own within a game that turns out to be so much more. A game that seems to recoil at the players' mere arrival.Author's Note: The story starts out slower, but the pace does pick up eventually. This is a rewrite of my first and only story & I hope to do it justice. The story follows the journey of a group of young men and women as they begin playing Prism. Fair warning, once we move past the initial arc, there will be POV changes as I move from one party member to another or, occasionally, to the viewpoint of some minor characters.Any feedback or suggestions that you might have are more than welcome!Release Schedule: New chapter every Sunday.Cover Art by: Tsuu ([email protected])Prism's Discord Server.
