《Little You》Chapter 9

Kyle slammed the figure against the wall, a sharp cry of pain coming from her lips. Her auburn hair fell over her blue eyes. Her body shook in the cardigan she wore. She could faintly hear Kyle talking but she wasn’t quite sure what he was saying, so she attempted to get closer in hope to hear the conversation.
“I wonder what bit of you would taste the best” Kyle’s voice was suddenly deep and filled with hatred, he was different now, almost lifeless, undead. “Kyle, why are you doing this” she spoke with a whimper, stuttering his name. He hummed for a moment as he eyed her, savoring the fear she released. He leaned close and took a deep breath in. “You smell delicious, like a turkey waiting to be eaten at Christmas” he took another deep breath before chuckling darkly. “Shame you won’t be alive for the upcoming Christmas” he rose his voice and drove his hand into her stomach, somehow finding the inhumane strength to do so.
Charlie covered her mouth tighter to hold back the gasp that was trying to leave her body. He slowly twisted his hand only to pull it out, holding a blood-coated organ of some kind. Charlie felt sick at the sight but she couldn’t look away, she was entranced by what she’d seen. She couldn’t help but watch as Kyle ripped the organ apart with his sharpened teeth. Heather gasped once more before falling to the floor as Kyle dropped the remains of the organ onto the floor. “Tastes amazing, just like I thought” he grinned as he looked down at the lifeless Heather.
Charlie noticed a shadow emerging from another dark corner of the library, the large library doors slowly closing by themself. Charlie took a few steps back so she’s not discovered and gently places down the leather book she was still grasping tight in her free hand as to not make any unnecessary noise.

“You weren’t supposed to kill her Kyle” the voice sounded familiar but she couldn’t grasp where she had heard it before. Kyle looked over at the figure who was now slowly walking over to him, revealing the black cloak that covered most of her body. She grabbed Heather’s handmade doll out of the same basket she used for the other 3 victims. “I suppose it was time to end this mess anyway, it was fun while it lasted” she put the doll back in the basket. “My only mission was to eat a part of her, taste her, that’s what I did” Kyle retorted to which the woman sighed.
“Useless piece of shit, aren’t you Kyle?” Kyle opened his eyes wide as she stepped closer and closer, backing him up to the nearest window which was now wide open. “Do you really think I specifically needed you to carry out my mission?” the woman’s voice was laced with venom as she spat her words out, putting emphasis on ‘my’. “Please” Kyle was cut short as she shoved him out of the window, her long nails digging into his chest as she does so. Nothing was left to be heard, no scream, no thud, no murmuring from others, just silence and Charlie felt like the woman could probably hear her breathing.
The woman didn’t sound old anymore and her back was no longer hunched over, she was acting the entire time and nobody had any idea. She looked down at Heather’s dead body and scoffed, kicking the corpse as her black heels got coated in any leftover blood. “This school is filled with nothing but rats” she laughed to herself, kicking the body a few more times before she finally made her way back from where she came from. Charlie was careful to not get caught as she creeped behind her, making sure to follow her every step. The library had a shelf with a barely visible trapdoor laid out in front of it. The door was now wide open as Charlie continued sneaking behind the woman.
