《Binary Progression》Volume 3 - Chapter 16: The brawl

JohnWillStab and his party entered the town, it looked over-populated, though, for the most part, it looked like nobody except the healers was forced to remain in the town.
"I guess they're afraid of risking their lives for real..." thought JohnWillStab.
"My God, this place reeks..." Alex said pinching his nose closed.
The entire ground, which was once cobblestone and grass was now mud... or at least they hoped it was mud.
"Yeah, keep an eye on your belongings," JohnWillStab advised.
Children ran around the area, "At least it looks like the fatass isn't tormenting the kids..." noted JohnWillStab.
"I'd like to see him try..." Jordan said, his tone filled with hate.
"You really don't like seeing kids hurt," JohnWillStab laughed, his laugh a contrast to the glum atmosphere.
"Isn't that most people?" asked Alex.
"I guess, though you could just say that about people in general," JohnWillStab exclaimed.
"No reason in particular. You're just imagining things." Jordan said hesitantly.
"He's lying," Thal told Alex.
"Hm?" Alex thought.
"...nevermind..."
JohnWillStab saw another armoured man, he was drinking beer he got from the inn.
"Hey, do you know anything about the hill giants?" asked John.
"Hmm? Aren't you the idiot who pissed the boss off? Pfft, no point talking to a corpse."
"If only he knew how literal his statement was..." thought JohnWillStab.
"Are you going to tell me about them or not?" JohnWillStab asked.
"Leave me alone, or we'll send you to the training pit..." he warned.
"Training pit?"
"Pretty little thing like yourself wouldn't last ten minutes in there." he laughed.
"How can you say that with a straight face after I scared your boss off, running to the healers," JohnWillStab demanded.

"Whatever! You'll see!"
JohnWillStab walked back to his group.
"I'm starting to be less interested in saving this bloody town..." JohnWillStab said grinding his teeth.
"Yeah, everyone in armour is an asshole, but think about the others, I bet a lot of normal people are stuck here," Jordan exclaimed.
"I know..." JohnWillStab admitted.
"I think if you want to know about the hill giants, you might want to ask that," Alex said pointing at the humanoid made from rock who was chained to one of the walls, one of its legs was missing as well as one of its eyes which consisted of small crystal spheres.
It was covered in scorch marks, though it looked like they realised fire doesn't hurt a rock monster.
"D-did they seriously kidnap one of the giants!?" demanded JohnWillStab.
JohnWillStab looked around for where the fat man was, he marched right up to him, followed by his two party members doing their best to stop him.
"Hey, fatass!" JohnWillStab called out.
"Are you in such a rush to die?" the large man asked turning towards him.
"What the fuck is that?" he asked gesturing towards the captured giant.
"Humph! Those rock bastards opposed us, so we took one of their young as an example!"
"And you don't see how that made them come after your town!?" demanded Jordan.
"Of course I do... this isn't about reason, I demand they submit to me," he exclaimed.
"Like everyone else!" he added gesturing to the entire town.
He pointed at JohnWillStab.
"Now... I think it's about time I teach you a proper lesson." the man tossed his hammer aside.
"Alright!" JohnWillStab was more than willing to beat his ass.
"Wait, I'll fight him," Jordan said pushing past JohnWillStab.

"You're a caster! Don't be stupid!" JohnWillStab replied.
"So you want to take on the mighty Baldar! So be it!" the fat man exclaimed as everyone formed a ring around the two.
Jordan took his cloak and robe off, tossing them to JohnWillStab and Alex along with his staff, choosing to face off against the man shirtless.
Reluctantly, JohnWillStab and Alex stepped away from the fight.
"Don't worry about it, dagger woman, I'll take you down next!" the fat man said pointing a finger at John.
His opponent took his chest plate off and tossed it to one of his subordinates who almost fell over because of its weight.
"No fancy tricks, no magic." stated the fat man.
"Fine."
The fight began, the large man running at Jordan, his mass made him a terrifying opponent.
"I don't know much about this world..." thought Jordan.
"But self-defence moves should still apply!"
The fat man placed one foot forward and drew his fist back.
Jordan ducked and kicked him in the back of the knee causing the man to lose balance, as he waved his arms around trying not to fall to the muddy ground, Jordan planted the bottom of his palm onto the man's nose, breaking it with a crunch and causing blood to spill out.
Jordan took a step back and the man got back to his feet, this time he ran at Jordan with his fist extended, ready to hit without stopping, like before Jordan ducked, but this time he tripped the speeding man up such that he fell forward.
Jordan used the man's own weight and velocity to guide his air-born body forward, he didn't expect to be grabbed onto mid-flight.
As soon as the fat man landed he dragged Jordan under him and pulled his fist back, bloodied and humiliated he was ready to kill Jordan.
As his fist came down on Jordan's face, Jordan tilted his head, causing the fat man's fist to instead crash into a rock that hid behind Jordan's head.
Before the man even knew what was going on, Jordan headbutted him, the pain of having his broken nose further beaten caused the man to jump back giving Jordan the chance to get on top of the man.
He pushed the man down and planted his knees on top of each one of his shoulders, he pulled his fist back and landed a hit on his nose again, he continued this another few times before the fat man went quiet.
He got off, wiping the blood off his face and spit on the passed-out man.
JohnWillStab, as well as the rest of the people, looked at Jordan in bewilderment.
"I have the fist class... and I'm not nearly that good..." JohnWillStab thought, he was part embarrassed and part amazed.
Jordan turned to JohnWillStab and gave him an exhausted thumbs up.
"You have got to teach me how to do that one of these days!" JohnWillStab exclaimed as he ran over to Jordan, carrying his stuff.
"You wiped the floor with him!" Alex exclaimed.
Meanwhile, the crowd was still silent as they looked at the fat man.
JohnWillStab walked up to him and kicked his right hand with disgust.
"He's level thirty-one!?" JohnWillStab exclaimed inwardly.
JohnWillStab looked back to Jordan who was getting a crowd's worth of admiration from just Alex.
"I guess even in this world, talent... no... skill, skill goes a long way, even in this world..." thought JohnWillStab, he was more than happy to see the fat man passed-out on the ground.
