《Binary Progression》Volume 3 - Chapter 24: Names

While JohnWillStab, Alex and Jordan did their thing, another group was out and about leveling...
"Come on, just one..." Bromy pleaded holding a lit cigarette in his mouth and a scalpel in his hand.
He was wearing a black version of his usual bucket hat, and a white coat he put on, not quite a lab coat, but it was passible.
"YOU CANNOT CUT OFF ANY OF MY FEATHERS!" Revenberry cried out taking cover behind Bonifacius.
She was wearing the starter mage gear for a harpy, since she used the water element, her robes were light blue with a golden trim.
"Come on, how can you fly when you're the size of a human, I just need to know."
"Bromy, leave our companion alone!" Bonifacius pleaded not turning back.
Bonifacius' fancy platinum armour was replaced with generic iron armour.
"You're no fun..." Bromy sighed.
"It's been so long since I discovered something as cool as this!" Bromy exclaimed.
"Last time thou said something like that, thou have performed the goat incident..." Bonifacius said suspiciously.
"What's the goat incident?!" Revenberry demanded.
"Which one?" Bromy asked.
"You see, the goat incident is just a code-name for the point where science violates the laws of morality," he explained.
"Though, the name comes from where I attached tentacles to a goat and fire-beams to his eyes... I wanted laser but those don't exist in the game..." he shrugged.
"Why would you do that?"
"Oh, for fun." he shrugged.
"How is that fun!?" she demanded.
"Think about it, it's a perfectly synchronised collection of different systems working together to maintain the existence of an abomination and an insult to God himself, what could bring your more joy?!" exclaimed Bromy.
"He's weird..." Revenberry said, speeding up and walking next to Bonifacius.
"Fear not! Bromy was a doctor back on Earth!"
That was the most afraid Revenberry was in her life.
"Still, it's lucky I ran into you guys..." Revenberry exclaimed.
"Indeed, I would not have expected thou to remember me from that long ago," Bonifacius exclaimed.

"Yeah, well - being trapped in an alternate world kind of jogged my memory," she replied.
"Don't worry, I just wanted to see if she has hollow bones." Bromy shrugged.
"Bromy! We cannot deal with your mid-summer-megalomania at this time! Besides tis about to be winter!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Alright, alright, I'll hold off..."
"For now..." he added in his thoughts.
"Good, because we must find the others and form a guild as soon as possible!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Riiight, we're missing the cheater, the background character and the corpse." Bromy sighed.
"Crown, Foxly and JohnWillStab!"
"We could also find cart guy..." Bromy continued.
"Pedecree..."
"Stabby onion-guy would be cool to have, though I doubt he'd be interested in tagging along." Bromy continued.
"Olivionion."
"Curstl..." Bromy began.
"Nope!"
"Come on..."
"Never!"
"Even just for tea?"
"I shant!"
Bromy laughed.
"Yeah, thought so."
"Who knows how the corpse is doing!" Bromy thought out loud.
"I hope everyone is alright!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"My guess is he's still level one somewhere around the world," Bromy replied.
"Perhaps, but we shall fix that when we find him!" Bonifacius replied.
"Perhaps JohnWillStab wishes to settle down and live normally instead of risking his life?" Bonifacius said.
"Maybe." Bromy shrugged.
"That said, thanks to those lovely bandits we know you do respawn," Bromy replied playing with a bag of coins.
"Indeed..."
"Are you two sure we shouldn't level up a bit before finding your friends?" Revenberry asked.
"I'm level five, those bandits were level ten, it looked like a slice to the throat killed them at a normal rate." Bromy shrugged.
"I have practised my weapon skill for the shield, so that I may be of some assistance in a fight."
"Well... I'm level three..." Revenberry sighed.
"Well... I'd be willing hand over some XP via a quest if you let me slice off some of your arm..." Bromy offered,
"Seriously?!" Revenberry asked.

"Bromy!" Bonifacius scolded him.
"I would, but it looks like I'm not allowed to have fun!" Bromy called out.
"I'm sure thou will run into a harpy to cut up eventually!" Bonifacius assured him.
"I'll make sure of that..." Bromy sighed.
"In any case, we should check the closest starting zone first." Bonifacius continued.
"We could run into JohnWillStab in Grimwood, we will have to go through the Rolling Plains."
"Yeah, who would have expected us all to spawn in Highfall." Bromy laughed.
Bromy reached into his pocket and pulled out some banana bread and a bottle of wine.
"It's weird how the food gets progressively worse the lower the level of the zone you're in is," Bromy explained munching down on the banana bread form the level thirty and forty zone, Highfall.
"An incentive to level up!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Would you risk your life to see what the level one-hundred food and booze is?" asked Bromy with a riased eyebrow.
"Absolutely." Bromy exclaimed.
"Of course!" Bonifacius replied.
"No..." Revenberry replied looking at the other two.
"You don't have the spirit of an adventurer..." Bromy sighed looking at Revenberry with disappointment.
"I also don't have the memory of being devoured by wolves!" she exclaimed looking at Bromy.
"Heh, I had to make sure we really could respawn." Bromy shrugged.
"Wasn't seeing the bandits respawn enough?!" Revenberry demanded.
"You also don't have the spirit of a scientist..." Bromy sighed looking at Revenberry with disappointment and pity.
"Stop that! I don't need your pity!" she exclaimed.
"It's not pity... I just feel really sad when I look at you..." he said with a look of even greater pity.
"STOP THAT!"
"And who is it that you are looking for, Revenberry?" asked Bonifacius.
"I have no clue how to pronounce his name... it's like "explorer" except the person writing it had a stroke,"
"E - l - p - l - o - r - r" she spelt it out letter by letter.
"Elplorr?" asked Bromy.
"You think you're smart because everything you say is text? I'm trying to figure out how to pronounce it!" Revenberry exclaimed.
"Elp-lore-ur" Bromy sounded it out.
"Like saying 'elf' with a lisp."
"That's such a stupid fucking name..." Revenberry sighed.
"Speaking off names, is your one like... reven... like a raven, the bird?" Bromy asked.
"I have no clue... I guess so... because "haha-bird-pun" " she sighed in disgust.
"Well, my name is fine unless you accidentally write and 'n' instead of an 'm'..." Bromy shuddered.
"Well, I'm named after a Roman general!" Bonifacius explained.
Bonifacius cleared his throat and started quoting Wikipedia...
"Bonifatius first appears as a general of Constantius III in 413, where he defeated the Visigoths of Athaulf at Massilia; he allegedly threw a weapon and wounded the Gothic king himself.[3] Later that decade, Bonifatius was known to be a tribunus commanding a Gothic regiment of foederati in North Africa campaigning against the Mauri, and had a friendship with St. Augustine of Hippo -"
Bromy burst into laughter "Augustine of Hippo! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
Bonifacius let out a sad sigh, "You never make it past Augustine of H..."
"A-Augustine of Hippo!"
"What are you five?!" asked Revenberry looking at Bromy and trying to keep a straight face herself.
"What about Crown?" asked Bromy.
"Nobody has even noticed her name is, in fact, the queen piece from chess," Bonifacius explained.
"Pedecree is like pedigree..."
"Ha, it's because he's a wolf-man, right!?" Revenberry laughed.
"Oh, so bird-jokes are off-limits, but wolf-man jokes are funny?" Bromy asked.
"That's different." she rebuked.
"Whatever, bird-brains!" Bromy said dismissively.
"What did you just call me?!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, did the three neurons in your brain fail to decrypt the English language?" he asked.
Revenberry let out a loud sigh.
"How is this asshole a main character?!"
