《Binary Progression》Volume 3 - Chapter 33: God-tier ventilation

Bonifacius opened his eyes to green sparks flying into the air and the sound of fizzing.
He looked up and saw Bromy was wiping his bloody hands on his trousers after healing Bonifacius.
"Bromy! Thou are safe!"
"Yeah, we had a slight complication..." Bromy replied uncertainly.
"Hast thou found Eric?"
"We found several, it's safe to say he's dead-dead," he explained.
"Yeah, some big-ass snake thing killed him," Revenberry added.
"A lamia? Perhaps a swamp-mermaid?" Bonifacius speculated looking to bromy who shook his head.
"It's was a sea prince..." he replied.
"...ah ...of course... the sea prince..." he said trying to sound confident.
"Alright... a long time ago, all max-level players with the medicine skill could obtain a bestiary, a list of all creatures in the game, under the level-one-hundred-elite tag was the sea prince amongst others."
"Now since nobody ever saw this monster, we assumed he was a bit of an urban legend like the sky-croissant, but I saw it!" he exclaimed.
"Are thou saying the monster is responsible for Eric's death?" he asked.
Bromy reached for a cigarette and lit it.
"I have a feeling this is going to be more of an essay than a report." he sighed.
"Speaking of..." behind them stood the rabbit-eared frog, "Did you guys manage to find him?" she asked in her usual monotone.
"Hello to you too, rabbit-frog," Bromy replied.
"There must have been a miscommunication, I did not greet you or your party," she replied tilting her head to the side questioningly.
"Yes... but you could." Bromy continued.
"I do not doubt my abilities to offer a greeting. I assure you I am capable of that much," she replied.
Bromy planted a palm to his face.
"Yes, but it'd be nice!" he continued.
"Hmm, yes I am aware of how greetings work," she replied with a nod.
She turned to Bonifacius.
"Now then, can you give me your report?" she asked.
"Right! Of course!" Bonifacius continued, when it came time for Bromy to give his part of the adventure the rabbit looked at him with raised eye-brows, offering passive-aggressive comments like "Wow, you saw blood and decided to follow it, how clever..." or "You cut your own leg off to avoid getting wet, naturally..." all in her monotone voice.

"Look, rabbit, do you have anything against me?! I will absolutely fight a woman half my size!" he replied getting into a fighting stance.
She completely ignored him.
"Right, well, if that's all - I'm going to get going..." she finished before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"This time it smells like green-apple..." Bromy sighed in defeat.
"Still smells like smoke to me." Revenberry shrugged.
"Go talk to Sushi, have a chat about how it feels to be background characters!" Bromy taunted.
"Oh yeah? Well without this side character you would have slept in the rain with a missing leg!" she rebuked.
"If I didn't have to carry you with the chain glove I'd have made it to the top of the building sooner and could have gone inside myself," he replied with a grin.
"Not to mention you stole my booze!" she exclaimed.
"That's right! You were an adequate pack-mule." Bromy said with a sarcastic grin and a thumbs up.
"And you wonder why nobody likes you..." said Revenberry with a wry expression.
"Alright, let us get going, perhaps they shall have uniforms when we're back," exclaimed Bonifacius causing Bromy's face to light-up.
"That's right! Let's go!" he yelled raising his arms into the air in victory.
The party made their way back to Levelgreen where MrFinland was satisfied with the journey.
The rest of the party made it back over the river and up the cliff much to Revenberry's terror, before they were greeted with the beginnings of building.
A large, circular wall, about five meters in thickness surrounded the centre where stood the outline for a massive hexagonal structure, most likely housing several floors.
The walls were planned to have a total of eight towers and corridors going through the wall itself, allowing for archers to fire at enemies.
Aside from that, several walk-ways supported by pillars led from the hexagonal building to the wall-corridors.
A fair amount of space was still left empty or occupied by the temporary tents.
There was one gate and it had massive wooden doors... no frame or anything just yet, but the big wooden door was there, and was being held up by a man one-eight its size to stop it from toppling over.
"Ah! You're back!" Curstl exclaimed running up to grab a hold of Bonifacius only to be kept at an arm's length away from him thanks to Bonifacius pushing her head away with one hand.

"Yes... indeed we have returned..." Bonifacius said wryly.
"And we are awaiting our uniforms..." Bromy added impatiently.
"We have them all done!" she exclaimed taking a step back from Bonifacius.
"Follow me!" she exclaimed before heading for a tent, inside lay piles of cloth.
Bromy and Bonifacius put them on, it was like a robe, except it didn't go much past their shoulders, it had a hood with a gold trim similar to the trim on the bottom of the robe.
The robe was made from enchanted felt, such that it was waterproof, you could tell this from just touching it.
It was very dark green in colour, if the sun wasn't as bright you could mistake it for being black easily.
"Where's the rest of it?" asked the concerned Bromy looking at Curstl.
"That's it," she replied with a smile.
"You said yourself you were "like the special forcer" so we can't have you easily recognisable," she replied.
"You were spying on us?!" Bromy asked.
"What part of that is out of character for me?" she asked.
"...you have a point." he sighed.
"Tis easy to fight in and could be handy if it rains." Bonifacius continued.
"Exactly! I knew one such as Bonifacius would understand the greatness of a mini-robe!" she exclaimed.
"Hmm, tis a good design!" he exclaimed.
"I WAS THE DESIGNER! THIS IS LIKE THE CLOSEST HE'S COME TO A COMPLEMENT!" she thought.
"Llime here is going to lead you to your rooms, you can get some rest there, the bird can go fly off somewhere, it's almost winter." Curstl sighed, she gestured to the rabbit-frog from before.
"Did she call her character after a fruit!? And a boring one at that..." Bromy thought.
"Nonsense! If thou won't provide a room for our comrade I shall simply lend her my one." Bonifacius replied.
"THEM TWO SHARING A ROOM LIKE HELL THEY WILL!" Curslt thought.
"Oh, no, there must have been a misunderstanding, I mean Terry - of course, we'll arrange a temporary-room for your temporary-friend." she laughed, she turned her head to the side and saw a blue-feather harpy, he was carrying bricks around for the construction of the wall.
"Terry, get the fuck out of here!" she exclaimed.
"B-but why boss? I jus-" he was cut off by Curstl "BECAUSE IT'S ALMOST WINTER, TERRY! NOW GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY GUILD BASE!"
Terry burst into tears and ran off.
Curstl turned back to back the party, Bromy and Revenberry were following Llime while Bonifacius looked at her with a wry expression of disappointment.
"Did I do something?" she wondered looking at the clearly upset Bonifacius.
"Bony, are you perchance upset about something?" she asked.
"Thou knows exactly why I'm upset!" he exclaimed before turning away from her and following Llime to his room.
"I really don't though..." thought Curstl with a sigh.
"This is your room, Bonifacius." she gestured to a door.
"You can sleep here, harpy," she added pointing at the door opposite Bony's room.
She looked around and spoke up.
"Alright, if you have any questions feel free to-" she was cut off by Bromy.
"WHAT ABOUT MY ROOM!?" he demanded.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't notice you there..." she looked around at the several empty rooms.
"I'm sorry, the rooms are full," she replied with a shrug.
"Fine, I didn't even want a room anyway! It's not like they'd be any warmer than sleeping outside!" Bromy exclaimed pointing to the rooms, which consisted of a brick floor, a brick outline of where the walls should be and a door.
"I can literally go into any of these rooms without using the door, there are no walls or a roof!" he complained.
"Hmmm..." she looked around and sighed.
"Please don't do that then." she shrugged and turned to leave.
Bromy saw her turn and leave.
"Did I really piss her off that much?!" he thought.
"Thou can stay in my room if thou wants." Bonifacius offered.
"But thou will have to smoke outside..." he added.
"Isn't your room basically outside anyway?!" thought Bromy with a sigh.
"Thanks, I'm not really tired though... I'll go for a walk," he replied before heading outside.

Myth of The World's Trees
And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. I was present now, at this moment, at this point in time. I could feel the electrifying air saturating my lungs, the electrified ground vibrating at the rhythm of the approaching enemy. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position.
