"How much longer does thou think it'll take for them to get here?" asked Bonifacius.
They sat in the little inn located in Duskshire, cobwebs filled the corners and dust covered almost every surface, though a few people already got around to running the business.
A fireplace crackled on the left-hand side of the entrance.
"Who knows..." Bromy shrugged drinking a pint of piss-booze before leaning back on his wooden chair.
On the table lay a piece of paper with "Menu" written on it.
Bromy picked it up and looked through the list of drinks and food.
"Toast..."
"Egged-toast..."
"Scrambled egg..."
"Fried egg..."
"Hard-boiled egg..."
"Eggs benedict..."
"Egg salad (egg+grass)..."
"Omelette..."
"Egg pudding..."
"Poached egg..."
"Cloud egg..."
"Egg noodles (omelette cut to look like noodles)..."
Bromy put the menu away.
"God I hate eggs..." he sighed.
"What are thou saying? Eggs are a great source of nutrients!" Bonifacius said taking up the menu.
Bromy sighed.
"There's more to food than nutritional value..." sighed Bromy.
"I mean, isn't flavour the main thing?" he asked.
"Nonsense! Thou should find the perfect middle-ground between flavour and nutrients!" he exclaimed.
Moments later Revenberry approached them.
"Great news people! I got myself a job!" she exclaimed.
"Congratulation!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Thou found an occupation that thou likes, I am so happy for thee!" he continued.
"Thanks!"
"You're working at the inn?" asked Bromy with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, as much as climbing cliffs brings me nothing but joy... I think I'm alright with a more relaxed life, y'know," she shrugged.
"Anyway, are you guys ordering something or...?" she asked.
"Yes! If thou could, could thou provide me with a portion of scrambled eggs?" asked Bonifacius.
"Alright! That'll be two gold!" she exclaimed.

Bonifacius handed over the two gold and looked over to Bromy.
In through the door entered a blue-haired man, light leather armour with plates strapped on.
Behind him walked in four other players, they all sat down at the same table and eyed Bonifacius and Bromy.
Bonifacius looked to Bromy,
"Erm... Bromy? Are thou feeling alright, I couldn't help but notice thou were feeling a little down for a while," asked Bonifacius.
"I'm fine..." Bromy replied.
"I was hoping to let thou sort it out thyself, but I can bear it no longer! What ails you, friend?!" Bonifacius demanded.
Bromy looked up.
"I'm feeling bored... that's all..." he replied.
"Oh, I see... usually thou would have some experiment or project to work on..." Bonifacius said looking to the tired-looking Bromy.
"Yeah... but now I'm basically a homeless wanderer..." sighed Bromy.
"I haven't even stabbed anyone in days..." he said, his eyes wander to the table on his left.
The blue-haired man meeting his gaze.
The atmosphere grew thicker and Bromy's hand twitched, those were not people just casually drinking at an inn, those were absolutely enemies.
"Here you go!" Revenberry exclaimed handing over the plate of eggs to Bonifacius.
Bromy covered his nose with his sleeve as he leaned back in his chair.
"Eggs always smell terrible..." Bromy sighed looking to Bonifacius.
"Oh, apologies!" he said backing away, sliding his chair back a little before digging into the eggs.
"Come on, motherfucker. Try me!" Bromy thought looking at the blue-haired man, his expression betrayed none of his inner aggression.
"Come on, jGuardian dog! Make the first move!" thought the blue-haired man.
Moments later the silence was broken by the sound of talking outside, both Bromy and the blue-haired man looked to the door.
In walked JohnWillStab, Alex, Jordan, Olivionion and Curstl.

"JohnWillStab!" Bonifacius exclaimed placing the egg plate away.
"Bonifacius! Bromy!" John exclaimed his face lit up as if he hadn't seen them in years.
Bonifacius and John shared and quick handshake before John gesture towards Jordan and Alex.
"Well, this is Alex," John began.
"Remember, the game hijacking dude,"
"Yeah, I remember..." Bromy said seemingly less bored now.
"Yeah, sorry about that!" he laughed nervously.
"Fear not, Alexander! Tis water under the bridge!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Yeah, what good would killing you over a game do," shrugged Bromy lighting a cigarette.
Bromy felt the dirty looks of almost everyone around him.
"Alright, alright..." he relented before standing up and heading outside.
"I'll go for a smoke too..." Jordan said walking outside after Bromy.
Bromy and Jordan chatted outside while, Bony and John caught up.
Meanwhile, Alex looked around for Revenberry.
"I wonder where she is..." Alex thought looking around, he was about to ask the others when Thal spoke up.
"Top floor, first room on the left, don't you dare do anything non-pg while I'm stuck to you!" he threatened.
"Thanks, buddy!" Alex thought back before making his way up the stairs.
Alexander started walking up the stairs when he finally saw the frame of Revenberry going through the wardrobe in the room.
"Oh my god, you've resorted to robbing the inn?!" Alex exclaimed.
"What?" Revenberry spun around folding the starter gear inside,
"WHAT!?" demanded the owner of the inn from downstairs.
Moments later they were both kicked out of the inn and now sat on the ground outside the door to the inn.
Revenberry looked over to Alex and remained quiet for a solid ten seconds before she knocked him over the head.
"I LOST THIS JOB UNDER TEN MINUTES!" she complained.
Alex was knocked back by the hit.
"Sorry! I thought it'd be funny!" Alex replied apologetically.
"Thought I have enough money to last us a while!" he assured her.
She let out a sigh.
"God you're such a dumbass..." she sighed.
"But it's nice that you're back..." she relented leaning over to him.
Alex placed an arm around her.
"Yeah."
Bromy and Jordan looked at them awkwardly trying to enjoy their smoke.
"D-do you think they know we're here?" asked Jordan.
"I don't know... I just hope they aren't going to do anything pg out here," Bromy replied.
"Yeah, that'd be weird..." Olivionion remarked.
"What the hell are you doing out here?!" demanded Jordan in a hushed tone.
"I was bored!" Olivionion replied looking over to Alex and Revenberry.
"Don't lie, you just wanted to see the ship happen!" John exclaimed.
"Lies..." Olivionion replied.
"They do indeed form a nice couple..." Bonifacius exclaimed.
"Bromy looked around, is anyone else here?!" he demanded.
Curstl appeared from behind Bonifacius "Noooo~o!" she replied.
"Sorry!" Exclaimed the owner of the inn.
"Yeah, I was just curious!" exclaimed one of the cooks.
"Yeah!"
"Me too!"
"I just saw everyone leaving and I followed."
"I came to sell popcorn!" exclaimed one person.
"Popcorn? How much?" asked Bromy.
"Three gold a packet!" he explained.
"Deal."
Bromy handed him three gold and began munching down on popcorn while smoking.
Bromy and Jordan continued smoking as coughing ensued around them accompanied by dirty looks.
Bromy let out an angry sigh.
He stomped back inside the inn and began smoking there, whilst looking at the two through a window.
Jordan did the same.
"Can't an addict catch a break..." sighed Bromy.
"I know, right?" Jordan agreed.

Will Jon and his young cousins follow in the dark footsteps of their family or will they set out on their own path? Author's Notes: My work is often graphic and mature in nature. I only recommend it for the fans who are not faint of heart. This work will contain swears, violence and occasional sexual dialogue. With that fair warning done, I plan to constantly edit previous chapters as I go back to them, so they are all subject to change over time. Most of the events will remain the same but as I get more time to write I'd like to add details that I couldn't add while constrained for time. Thank you for taking the time to check out Monolith! Really appreciate it. Hope you enjoy it and look forward to the upcoming events!

The citizen characters are based on the NPCs, while the player characters are wholly my own creation.
