《Dan's Shoppe of Oddities》Chapter 31 Apate: Part 1

Dan opened his eyes and cursed under his breath with a creativity that would have made chevy chase proud. Looking around he found himself in a large open area, or so he assumed, seeing as he was standing on what would appear to be a sand dune, one that extended ever up in the darkness.
There was not a single light to be found, not even the stars shone in the sky, or rather there was no light to be found besides the blood red moon that hung in the sky granting everything its red light.
He pulled the Khopesh out of the small link he used to attach the blade to his waist, and started to move walk.
There was only one way to go.
Forward.
“Dan!” he heard a voice, and much to his relief he looked over and found himself looking at Amani, who was running over to him. “Thank goodness,” she said, leaning over and panting as she draped herself over him, and planted kisses on his face and neck. “I was so worried.” she purred as she rubbed up against him.
“How did you get here?” he asked. As he held her close to himself.
“I just followed, genie remember?.” she said. “What does it matter?” she asked. “I am here now aren't I?”
[Anubis’s temple]
“Now this is odd, you used to be so critical of humans, what changed?” He asked, leaning forward and staring at Bastet.
“As I have said I met someone.”
“A human?” she nodded, “But not that human?”
“That human is also one I like, but I have only room in my heart for one.” she said, as she purred to herself and lightly touched the collar on her neck.

“You always were a slave to passion.” Anubis sighed, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth as he began to pant, much like a regular dog would. “So why do you think he will survive?”
“I don’t think he will survive,” Both Amani and Abyzou froze in fear when they heard that, “I know he will.” she smiled.

Dan pulled back, looking at the woman in front of him, he had a distinct feeling something was wrong here. Amani looked over at him in concern as he pulled out of her grasp. Her large green eyes shone with worry.
“Is something wrong Dan?” she asked, taking a step towards him.
He held the khopesh, putting it between the two of them.
“You tell me.” he said, his blade dividing the space between them. She froze in place, looking from the khopesh to Dan and back to the khopesh.
“Dan, what is wrong?” she asked. “You are acting different, you're scaring me.”
“Do you know what I think?” he asked, never letting his eyes off the woman. “I don't think you are Amani.”
“What are you talking about?” her eyes opened wide in shock. “I am Amani, just look at me, if I am not Amani then who am I?”
“That one I don't know,” he growled. “Amani has never referred to herself as a genie, she has always referred to her people as the Djinn,” he said, and he watched as the face of the woman in front of him twisted ever so slightly for a split second. “Then there is the fact that you are here, Anubis specifically said there was no we, this is my trail.” he tightened his grip on the pummel of the blade. “So why don't you tell me who you are?”

“Come here Dan, I will show you just how much I am Amani,” she said, pulling the waistband down ever so slightly showing off her perfect toned hips. And though he was able to restrain himself from throwing himself at her once she showed that alluring sight, his lower half was a little more honest.
“Come any closer and you risk much.” he said, dropping into a fighting stance.
“You wouldn't hurt me would you?” she asked softly, pulling the pants down lower, allowing him to see more of the tantalizing tan flesh.
“I am only warning you one last time.” he growled. “Take another step and it will be your last.”
She placed a foot forward and he lunged, his blade made contact and with a sickening feeling he watched as her head arched through the air and landed on the sand. Looking at the sight of her head parted from her body and the look of betrayal on her face he lost his lunch.
Leaning over he threw up everything that was in his stomach. He knew it wasn't her, it couldn't be, but that had not made the task any easier.
He couldn't look at the head anylonger, he knew if he did he would surely go mad. He couldn't face those eyes, so sad, so betrayed, so-
Lifeless.
“Heheheheheheheheheehehehehhahahahahahahahahahah!” a woman’s voice echoed through the silent dessert. Turning back around he found that Amani’s body and head were gone. Standing in her place was the figure of a tall shapely woman made almost entirely out of darkness, save the eyes and mouth that burned with an unholy red light. “It has been a long time since a man was able to pass that first trial so quickly.” the burning smile spread further, giving the shadow woman a even crazier look.
“Who are you?” he asked, looking at the shadow of the woman
She reached down and put her hand in the red damp sand where the blood had been greedily drank up by the dry desert and held up a handful. Holding it aloft she squeezed her hand shut, and thought it should have been impossible she squeezed the blood out of the sand, it dripped down onto her face, and into her open mouth. “Delicious” she purred, then turning back to Dan she stated one word “Apate,” before simply disappearing into nothingness.
And with her so did everything else. The ground where she had been standing turned into a massive gaping hole, and all the sand poured into its black nothingness.
“Shi, shit, shit,SHIT!” Dan frantically tried to run or crawl or really do anything that would distance himself from that gaping hole in the world, but to no avail. The sand was moving too fast, rushing into the hole and dragging him down to his doom. With flailing arms he was dragged down into the darkness.
“Welcome Dan, welcome to my world.” he heard as he fell in the endless blackness. “We are going to have fun here, heheheheheheehehehehehehehehhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

One Piece: The Elder Twin
(Previously known as Being Luffy isn't Lucky) An utterly random person comes to their senses to find out that they're being dangled by their legs, not to mention that they feel some slight vertigo. Upon realisation, they discover that they've become... ahem, I mean they share a body with the one known as Monkey D. Luffy and they also have no idea who they are themselves! The one thing they do know? They used to be an absolute loner. (EDIT: So... a few months later and I come back to this and read like a few chapters. Only to realize the absolute rubbish the story and everything has become. There was many needlessly developed things that just waste chapters and don't even develop anything. The fiction's Mary Sue was horrendously developed. I'm just repeating myself to try and convey how terrible it developed... like seriously. IF I were to update the fiction again I would be thinking of improved concepts and ways to present everything which would contradict the entire way I previously presented everything.)
