Stanley opened his eyes, finding the entire area darkened with white outlines, which appeared to be snakes and strings, grabbing Jordan in a chokehold and pulling him into a bottomless dark pit.
“Stanley, what do you think you’re doing?” Jordan asked weakly. “You could’ve been free.”
“I don’t know,” Stanley admitted. “But it isn’t right to leave you to die like this.”
“After everything I’ve done and said to you, you’re giving me...?” Jordan choked on his words.
“You’re still a person, deep down.” Stanley acknowledged, on the brink of tears.
“But I’m just a soulless puppet created for selfish intentions. I don’t deserve your kindness.” Jordan turned away, his face feeling hot and his eyes getting stingy.
“You’re wrong.” Stanley denied as he moved closer. “You’ve proven that you’re human, just like all of us. You express emotions, have compassion, and have your thoughts and desires. You’re unique, there’s no one like you, and it wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t a part of our world.”
Finally, after hearing those words, Jordan felt tears streaming down his face. He couldn’t believe it. Stanley was right. Jordan wasn’t just a meaningless puppet with no soul, or rather, he had a soul deep down.
Jordan looked up at Stanley and extended his arm to reach and grab Stanley’s hand as he moved closer. However, the snakes and strings moved over to tie Stanley around by his body parts and drag him further away before they could touch their fingertips. Stanley and Jordan struggled to fight back, continued moving forward, and tried to break free.
Soon, a light pierced down into a lancer that fell and cut through the strings and snakes, causing them to disintegrate. Stanley and Jordan broke free and reached each other before Jordan could fall into the dark pit. The two looked up as the light grew more prominent, overshadowing the darkness.

The figures in the light were revealed to be Hilary and Mimi, along with some other message bubbles with light auras, resembling, and turning into different people. The data moved over and destroyed the dark shadows, breaking them into pieces, giving Stanley and Jordan time to escape.
“Come on, let’s go back together,” Hilary said with a smile as she extended her arm towards the two.
“Yeah, let’s.” Stanley and Jordan smiled back and reached for her arm to grab them.
Mimi activated a beam and managed to teleport everyone out of the scene entirely, as the figures also disappeared off the net as well.

The group ended up in another room. This time, it was all white, with a substantial podium being in the center of the room.
“Where are we?” Hilary asked.
“The Eternal Dimension,” Mimi replied. “It seemed like whatever you wished for, was enough to put an end to all of this madness.”
“So, is the app deleted? Did you do it?” Stanley inquired.
Mimi nodded. “No one will be able to make any more wishes with it anymore. we’ve omitted and eradicated all the selfish wishes by—”
“What about Melody?” Hilary interrupted. “Is she—?”
“Afraid so.” Mimi interrupted. “Sorry, but there’s nothing you can do about her.”
Hilary blinked, tears streaming from her face as she felt her face hot and red. “I can’t believe it...”
“Sorry, Hilary,” Stanley said sadly. “I don’t know what to say, I...”
“Wait a minute. I’m alive?” Jordan interjected. “Why am I still around? I thought that...”
“Isn’t it just like I said before?” Stanley reminded him. “This is your chance to change and become a better person; you shouldn’t let this opportunity go to waste.”

“He’s right,” Hilary added. “You have a new purpose, a new meaning, go out there and find it.”
“I...” Jordan paused. He looked down at his hands and then back up at the others. “I want to become more than a puppet. I want to live among the people and hang out with you guys!” He exclaimed ecstatically.
“That’s what we like to hear!” Hilary exclaimed.
Jordan rubbed his eyes and hiccupped. “Thank you for believing in me.” Jordan choked on his words as he said those lines.
“You’re welcome.” Stanley and Hilary chirped.
The three got together and embraced one another. They felt the accomplishment of overcoming their trials and tribulations as Mimi watched with content and satisfaction. When they finished, Mimi cleared her throat to get their attention.
“Shall I send you back to your world?” Mimi asked.
“Wait, you can do that?” Jordan questioned.
Mimi nodded. She pointed toward the center near the podium, a long streak of light shot up toward the sky.
“Just step toward the light; your world should return to its normal state.”
“Will we ever see you again?” Hilary inquired.
“I’m sure we’ll meet again,” Mimi replied. “You better get going.”
“Thank you for everything.” The trio said in unison.
The three held hands and stepped toward the light without looking back.

A man in his apartment room signed off the net and communicated with the android on his computer.
“Nice work, Mimi.” He complimented, moving backward from his chair and stretching his arms.
“Thanks, Master,” Mimi replied. “Couldn’t have done it without your help.” She peeked through her screen and watched as her Master got up from his seat to inspect the scenery from out the windows. “Something wrong?”
The man scratched his head and sighed. “Well, now we need to find a new job.”
“Got any ideas?”
After a bit of thinking, he closed the curtains from the windows and turned to smile at Mimi. “I do.” The person pulled out his phone and dialed a number before placing it to his ear. “Hello? Yeah, it’s me, Cody. It’s been a while. How are you doing?”
.-.-.-.
Jordan squirmed in the bed and opened his eyes, finding himself inside his room. Everything appeared to be in place as if nothing terrible had occurred. Jordan heard a knock on the door and walked over to see who it was. There, Stanley and Hilary stood in front of the doorway. The three looked out the window and found everything back to normal. At least, they hoped it was the case.
None of them were sure which timeline it was anymore, but they were all glad to be together again. The group hugged once more before exchanging pleasantries. They all decided to go out to Midnight Delight to get snacks and chat, feeling great that the time-traveling and mishaps were finally over. Hilary took out her journal, now blank, and wrote about their recent adventures and memories that they’d be sharing today and in the future.
