First prayers
[Points: 1310 remaining]
*yaaaawns*
Well that was a pretty damn pleasant sleep.
In case you’re wandering how do I sleep, I clicked [Rest] on the Menu and got automatically teleported to inside the wooden idol. There was a whole cozy room inside that idol.
I didn’t know about this the first night though. I just kind of spaced out floating midair. Luckily didn’t catch a cold sleeping outside. Probably because I’m not really connected to the mortal world through a physical body.
Now back on the Points.
Those bandits were trying to burn down my shrine, so I let the guardians took care of them. The wolves were surprisingly strong, I didn’t think they could tear up a human’s neck that easily…
Each bandits gave me 200 points, and with 110 daily points from my underlings, I am now having 1310 points ready to spend.
How should I spend?
That I have no idea…
First of all, let’s just call up the Menu and see what we have.
I went to the same place I used to summon the wolves, and there was some new things in there.
[Undead Trap]x6
Yep. They definitely had a lot of regrets. When people die inside my land while having too many regrets, they’ll end up like this.
Undead.
Fragments of their souls stayed and became my defensive devices.
I offered a prayer and placed all 6 traps around the shrine.
Since it came from the ones slain by guardians, they didn’t cost points.
The wolves and golem are still currently on standby.
Last night, my scouts sniffed out some interesting news while hunting.
The reported to my notifications about detecting a few more humans.
But since they were too far away the notification didn’t ring out loud.
They spotted 3 humans, armed to the teeth.

They were setting up a camp near a river.
In my speculations, those people were probably some kind of adventurers.
But as long as they don’t try to attack me, I don’t really care.
Now, what should I do with the Points.
For now let’s throw another 200 into attraction.
[Points: 1110 remaining]
I can upgrade the Shrine to make it a bit bigger and nice-looking.
Or I can upgrade the idol and make my bedroom bigger…
Let’s upgrade the shrine itself, bedroom can wait.
I don’t have any particular discomfort sleeping in that room anyway.
So that would be another 500 points spent.
[Points: 610 remaining]
I threw another 400 into making basic wooden fence.
I set up the fence encircling an area with 150m in diameter.
I also put down one small gate (10 points).
[Points: 200 remaining]
The last bit I saved for emergency cases where I need to summon something or use the Holy Barrier.
I’m also thinking of raising some animal aside the guardians.
But that will have to wait since it isn’t really needed.
Finishing all the needed work, I was about to take a nap.
The intruders alert suddenly rang.
It was indeed the three adventurers the wolves spotted.
Naturally, I monitored and eavesdropped them.
「Can we really defeat the Ogre?」
「I think if we try we can do it…」
「Bad idea…Ogres are level 50…how the hell can we stand against them?」
Looks like they didn’t see the shrine yet.
But this make me wonder.
The bandits also came from the same direction.
So there must me a town or a city nearby, right?
And chances are it’s a pretty decent place.
Adventurers aside, if bandits came from there, it must be a place where they can rob.
They can’t take anything from a poor town, can they?

I pulled out an area map from the [Sanctuary] menu.
「Ah yeah…there really is a town…」
It was about 15 kilometers to the west of my shrine.
A free city called Twilight.
「Hm? This is…」
There was also another Sanctuary right in the middle of that city.
「Twilight Ark…type Church…classification S…ranking 4th…」
HAH?
There’s a ranking system for sanctuaries?
And what’s with type Church?
That means that God has a whole religion for himself?
Then what about myself?
(insert name)
Type: Spirit Shrine
Classification: F
Ranking: 1000th
I face-palmed after reading through that.
Ranking 1000…
So there are 1000 gods?
It might sounds few, but it’s actually quite a lot.
Gods are still gods, they’re not weeds, you know…
「Ah! There’s a Shrine!」
「Wanna stop by and pray for good luck?」
「Yeah…sounds good. We’re going to fight Hobgoblins after all…」
So they’re stopping by and pray huh…
Let’s be nice to our first guests and hear them out.
I went back into the idol and watched over them from the windows.
And when I say windows, they’re just 2 holes that act as eyes for the idol.
But the view wasn’t bad at all.
The adventurers opened the gate, walked in and walked through another door to enter the shrine.
Two were men, they looked bulky and skilled in weapons.
The other was a woman, she was wearing robe and holding a staff.
A cute sorceress, her chest wasn’t so big, but…
No no no.
Why am I thinking about that.
What a God I am thinking about boobs first thing upon seeing a female prayer…
The woman took down the flower on her hair and put it on the offering table.
Then they knelt before the table and started praying in their minds.
O great God, please let your children, us three return safely…
I want to eat high-class beef.
I hope next year Amy’s breasts will become bigger again…
What?!?
You perv.
The girl is praying for you lot’s safety and this is what you give back?
And somehow I’m able to listen to their prayers though they didn’t speak anything out loud.
I guess this is how being a God feels like…
[Points: +300→500 points remaining]
Not bad.
Let me thank you all for giving me points…
I pulled up the Menu and rewarded two of them each a small buff.
A magic boost for the girl, and a body boost for the beef-guy.
The one praying about boobs got nothing, serves you right, pal.
Hahaha I feel so almighty!!!
[Points: 480 remaining]
The me right now can’t give them anything more powerful.
So that’s all I got guys…
I hope they don’t pout and curse me for being stingy.
「Uwhoaaa…I just got a boost in Mana!!!」
「Y-Yeah!! I got a body buff!! I feel like I can jump over the castle wall now!!」
「W-wait…why do I get nothing?」
「What did you pray?」
「Ugh!! Err…um…no…forget it…」
He just hung his head and realized why.
Haha…this is amusing!
With that they left and headed east.
They’re going to subjugate Hobgoblins or something like that.
Well then, good luck, see you later my children.
Go and announce my generous divinity!
This feeling of being all powerful isn’t too bad.
I’m looking forward to meeting more prayers.
Listening to them and gifting them with buffs feels like a pretty fun job…
