"Odd." The old man muttered as he landed on the first floor of the clinic. His eyes were glowing an azure blue as he looked at the unseen. "No remnant magical signature."
"OH EVEN BETTER! A skilled super duper spy that wants to undermine our majesty's influence through destruction of the medicines that will help our brave soldiers in the battle against the monsters!" Only the shortness of breath stopped the bat winged woman from continuing on her rant.
"That might actually be a good guess to be honest." The man cloaked in blue flames said as he inspected the whole room. "The trick with the smoke disappearance really hints at teleportation magic."
"No." The old man said as he picked up a glass shard. "No teleportation magic."
"Albert! Find me a hair and I will get you your super duper spy!" The woman jumped excitedly while smashing her face against the ground searching for hairs.
Albert, the old man, picked up the clothes on the ground with an invisible force. With a flick of his fingers, the clothes disintegrated into fibers.
"No hairs. No dead tissue." Albert said, his eyes brows crossed as he inspected each individual strand of linen.
"I think we should worry Angelica, we might have to depend on…" The blue flames mage stopped for a moment to shudder. "Mundane methods."
Angelica adopted a frightened expression and turned her head mechanically towards Hewert, the blue flame mage.
"No we aren't going to do that! Do you know how much time we have to spend on this one case if we depend on them? Weeks! Weeks!" Angelica turned her head to Albert with a pleading expression. "Come on old man, you gotta have an old trick up your absurdly long sleeves right? Right?"

"No mana signature. Incredibly odd, impossible to ascertain perpetrators whereabouts." The old mage stated and despair fell on Angelica's face.
At night, the mage team and the guards had rounded up all the witnesses. To their misfortune, they couldn't catch any of the thieves.
A guard was finishing up his interrogation of the witness and headed towards the mage trio. He saluted and waited.
"At ease, what have you gathered." Hewert ordered naturally, and the other two quickly set their eyes on the guard.
"From what I can gather, this was a group of thieves who stole from employee's of Honder's Clinic and the clinic itself." The guard grabbed a small book from his pocket. "They are at least two thieves, but probably three to four. They successfully stole from two houses belonging to the Doctors belonging to this clinic."
"And a possible motive?" Hewert asked, his hands occupied with trying to stop Angelica from blowing up into a rant.
"Money as the main motivation factor. Though there is a possibility of the motive being the medicines stolen since the thieves only targeted the medicines while robbing the clinic." The guard quickly said.
"Good work, you are dismissed." Hewert ordered and finally let Angelica speak.
"I SWEAR! It's definitely a super spy, only super spies can make Albert say odd so many times!" Angelica spread her wings and flew around.
"Possibility of capture is low. Not enough information." Albert stated.
"Indeed. This is quite unusual. A thief with a perfect mana signature and hair erasure is a rarity." Hewert scratched his chin and inspected the vial that the thief had drunk from. "We will have to report this to the Colleges, request more assistance and analysis on this vial."
Alex had returned home after a gruelling day in the training yard. He plopped down on a chair and slumped down onto his table.

His face smacked against a small piece of paper. Eyeing the paper, he saw that it was a memo left by his clones.
'Mission Success, we sneaked in from the alley streets. Pretty sure no one saw us. Medicine bags and coin pouches hidey places listed below. Reminder: Test clone limit to see if any of us got captured'
Alex found four sets of clothes, masks and vials in his father's room. Solemnly he gathered the masks. He sighed in relief when he also found that he could summon the full five clones.
The next day, he casually strolled through the city streets. While no one was looking, he would grab a medicine bag and hide it in a backpack he bought when he was hunting.
By the end of the day, he had collected all of the bags and coin pouches. With a wide smile, he arranged three weeks of medicines for his mother. He also got a wide variety of other medicines and jewellery he could sell at the black market.
What most surprised him was eleven gold coins from a strong box. He did a little dance and promptly ran out of the house, running towards the Vanquisher's guild.
The Vanquisher's Guild was now teaming with, well, teams. It was a bustle of all the awakened monster hunters coming out of retirement to capitalise on a sudden surge in dungeons and monsters.
New blood was also streaming in as the Vanquisher's Guild gave new talents awakening stones in exchange for being contracted for a lengthy period of time.
Alex went unnoticed and unbothered in the building, and his application and fees were processed swiftly.
"As a member of the Vanquisher's guild, you get better prices for monsters, team recommendations, and commissions if you are known to be consistent and competent." The clerk quickly recited and passed him a bronze card. "This is your bronze identification card. It denotes you as an awakened with an unformed class, you will get a silver card once you form a class. Gold and Titanium cards are a whole other matter, Next!"
Being shoved aside by a burly vanquisher carrying a large bear, Alex snuck by the many dangerous individuals and exited the building with a sigh of relief.
"Goddamn, felt like a shitter in there." Alex held his bronze id with a proud smile on his face. "Still worth it though."
With a swaggering gait, he returned home and grabbed the scroll the guard had given him for his 'collusion'. A while later, he came out of the local Lord's Office with his restoration fees paid and a Proof of Wealth in his arms.
He had also received confirmation that he would be visited by a Doctor and an Officer of the guard to get his emergency medical pass.
And now he was left with four gold coins.
Alex smiled and headed towards the skill book stores.
