*Chrono’s Realm*

I just stood there staring at her with a blank expression, “Wait you mean to tell me I have been chosen out of millions of people?” Okay I can remain calm enough to think straight I guess that’s a good thing, but why me? That’s just the one thing I can’t wrap my head around right now.

She giggled a little before once again answering my unspoken question, “Well that’s an easy question you silly goose. You have been chosen because you hate the world you live in and wouldn’t miss it; at least that’s what you have said so for the past ten years of your life.” Thinking about what she said for a minute it made me wonder. Have I really been saying that for the past ten years? How does she know that and exactly how long has she been watching me?

Not even missing a beat on the, yet again, unspoken question she spoke up with a giggle. “Oh I haven’t been watching you that long dear just the last year or so all I had to do to know that was to look you up using the gods equivalent of Soogle it’s quite handy if you ask me.” There she goes again with the mind reading. I looked at her with a blank expression, “You really got to stop doing that it’s like an invasion of my privacy.”

She gave me a mischievous grin before speaking again, “Sorry baby-face, but when it comes to gods there is no such thing as privacy; kind of like your country of America. We give you privacy as we feel like it and there aren’t any laws protecting your privacy in our godly constitution even if we had one. It’s just like your American Constitution, no right to privacy.” Now that she mentioned it I remember my government teacher saying something like that back when I tried college, but back to the important shit. “Okay even if I hate my world I can’t just disappear like the rest of the people that would tear my family and friends apart with worry” Not to mention Dani she would go almost apeshit suicidal.

She smiled at me almost like she was trying to console me, “Don’t worry JD unlike the gods who have been taking people against their will for the past millions of years I will make an exact carbon copy of you here in your old world; your family and friends will be none the wiser.” Hearing her say this I was a little astonished, “Wait how is that possible?”

She seemed to think of something real quick before answering, “Well it takes an almost infinite amount of divine force to do which is why I placed the limit on the amount of people and the number of worlds all those years ago. Unfortunatly the other gods decided upon themselves to save the divine force for themselves and just kidnap people. The only thing in the universe that is impossible to do is erase somebody’s memories. We can either suppress them or keep them from going from the short term to the long term parts of the brain, but once it makes it to the long term part it is there permanently none of the gods can erase it then not even Pangu; the creator of all the thousands upon thousands of universes. The only one I can think of who might have the power and that’s a big might would be Nuwa, the one who created the most intelligent of species, the humans.”

I could almost feel my jaw on the ground. The information I was being given right now would change the way humans look at the universe back home on earth. I have heard of almost all the gods she has mentioned before, but the stories about them on earth are so much different than what I am hearing now. I closed my mouth before speaking to her, “Okay C where do we go from here then?” She smiled cutely and pinched my nose while giggling, “So you shortened my name to C huh? Well let’s see I guess the first step would be for you to choose your new universe from a list of three, but choose wisely because you won’t be able to choose again.” I looked at her thinking that that kind of felt a little ominous before she continued on speaking. “Okay your three choices are as follows.”

All of a sudden a violet window appeared in front of my face with a list of three worlds and a short description of them.

Zeon

A world of advance technology and medicine full of everything from hologram television, spaceships, and mechas.

A world of sword and magic full of many different races of beings such as elves, dwarves, dragons, and etc.

A world full of advance technology, medicine, and magic. (A combination of the first two worlds with some limitation on certain magic.)

I stood there looking at the pop up thinking it was kind of cool, “Neat it’s kind of like a pop-up window in a video game.” I mumbled before reading the list of universes. Seeing the last one I couldn’t help thinking that it was kind of lazily named because it looked like a combination of the first two, but I was just guessing at this point.

As soon as my thought finished she answered my question, “Yes your are correct Zeon is just a combination of the first two.” I guess that is good information to know, but didn’t I ask her to stop with the mind reading? Oh well now back to my decision on universes. After rereading the choices I looked at Chronos before asking, “Is there anything you can tell me about these worlds?”

She showed a small beautiful smile before nodding her head, “Well there aren’t really any rules against it, but even if there was I made them so I could ignore them if I wanted to.” Hearing her say thing I felt that she seemed more human than some of the humans I know. Once again she invaded my privacy, “That’s because I used to be one dear.” Oh okay that makes sense, wait what!? I looked at her with the shock evident on my face, “How?” Was all I could manage to blurt out.

She giggled at my expression before vaguely saying, “You will find out when you’re ready.” I sighed in my heart hoping that it wasn’t too far away. Otherwise it was going to drive me insane. I tried to clear my head a little with a smack to my cheeks, “Can you tell me about the first world Zephir?” She nodded her head before starting to give her explanation of the universe. “Well that world is pretty much just what like you would expect from any of the anime you watch; The ones that have to deal with space travel, humanoid mechs, and colonies. The universe has advanced technology such as holograms, artificial intelligence, space ships, mechs and etc. It also has advanced medicines that can pretty much almost able to do anything except revive the dead, not that they haven’t tried, but the technology to capture a fleeing soul hasn’t been invented in this universe yet.”

Listening to her explanation I was getting kind of excited. Artificial intelligence; yes please! I could see my dream of a controllable harem on the horizon! Invading my personal space Chronos giggled a little, “You are such a perverted nerd.” I looked at her with a fake pouty face feigning a hurt heart. “That’s a little mean C.” She turned a little red before turning her head to the side, “Oh quit it and it’s quite natural for some boys who still have their v-card to be perverted.” She said that last part while giggling.

I looked at her feeling my face turning red as hell, “I am not a virgin!” I quickly retorted. She laughed a little before speaking, “You don’t have to lie to me dear I know all about you remember?” I sighed in my heart. I forgot about the divine Soogle; curse you universal information! I looked at her with a sour expression on my face, “Sorry that not all of us are a god or goddess that could get some ass whenever they wanted to.” She had a small smile on her face before muttering something I barely made out. “Would it make you feel better to know that I am a virgin to?”

Barely hearing this I stood there dumbfounded. I stared at the bombshell of a goddess standing in front of me who is looking even more gorgeous now that her face is turning a little bit red. It is hard to imagine such a woman being a virgin there was just no way.

I sighed deeply before answering, “It would if it was true, but there is absolutely no way that a beautiful woman such as you is a virgin.” She smiled at my compliment before showing a sad expression. “Well thank you, but sadly it is true in order to keep my powers and not fall to a normal human again I can’t have sex with anyone other than the one who my heart has fallen for it is the only negative side effect of being the god of time all the gods, that are like me, have a negative side effect. Having such powers cannot come without any side effects otherwise the balance of powers would be out of whack nothing positive comes without its negative effects.”

What does she mean like her? Are there gods with powers unlike hers? Though to be honest being able to hold such amazing powers it made since that there would be some negatives attached to them. She gave a small smile before giving an example, “Take Bacchus for example he loves wine so much that he became one of the gods of it, but the negative side effect, that came with the way he became a god and also what keeps him from being too drunk, is that he has such heavy set body.”

Hearing this example I was starting to understand a little, but what did she mean by the way he became a god? Pushing it to the back of my mind as a question to ask later I looked at her face trying to pick out any signs of a lie. “Okay so you mean to tell me you’re really a virgin?” With a straight face and not so much as a twitch she replied, “Yes I am really a virgin, but enough about that lets get back to your decision of worlds”

Oh yeah I almost forgot about that it’s just that the discovery of such a bombshell being a virgin was just almost too overwhelming for me to handle. Looking back at the list we continued, “What about some information on the second one, Healdron?” She thought for a brief second before speaking, “Well it’s about what you expect from any fantasy world there are kingdoms, magic, dragons, elves, dwarves, etc. Most of the technological things from Zephir are possible in this universe due to magic, but alas reviving the dead like they were before they died is possible. Unfortunatly they would lose their original body and have to have their soul put in a new body completely at the reviver’s discretion. Plus they have to be able to catch your soul within five minutes of you dying or you will end up in the netherworld, where only a god or a necromancer can pull your soul from, and I don’t recommend trying to let a necromancer bring you back because you would be under their full control. If you do by chance end up in the netherworld I will tell my big brother Hades to play nice.”

Listening to her I was thinking about how much I would like the ability to be revived if I die, but I would rather be able to have my own body back and I do not want the option of my soul being under the control of someone else. I stopped my train of thought though, because something just clicked, “Wait big brother Hades? How does that work?” She laughed at my surprise, “Well he was my big brother when we were humans, but he ascended before I did and took the old Hades’ spot after the third war of the gods. That is another story for when you are ready though.” I sighed deeply at this woman with her many secrets. It’s not like there is much I can do to her though so I just have to put up with it. Even though there are a lot of things I can think of that I would like to do to her.

Seeing the perverted look on my face she laughed before commenting, “You could try all the things you want if you can take my heart big boy.” Oh I could definitely look forward to that I thought while smiling to myself. Chronos smiled before getting back on subject, “Okay back on track now.” Fine be that way spoil sport. I sighed before continuing with our main topic, “On to the third world and its absolutely lazy naming Zeon what can you tell me about it” – JD

“Well besides what you already know about it being named that way because Pangu got lazy and just combined the two names of the other universes seeing as this universe is literally a combination of the two. Unlike the other ones though due to the technological advances and magic being revived into a body that is a one hundred percent match to your old body in looks and everything is possible due to cloning. The technology has allowed the species of the universe to clone their bodies and store them in liquid pods and have their soul added by a mage at a later time if needed unfortunately cloning a soul has not been made possible, nor will it ever be it is right up there next to erasing memories. I don’t even think Nuwa could clone a soul due to the fact that souls are made by the laws of the universe, which not even Pangu can fully control. Nuwa just made a vessel for your souls.” – Chronos

Hearing her explanation I was confused for a second, “Wait didn’t you just say you made a clone of me in my old universe? If you can’t clone a soul how did you do that?” She thought about how to answer me before she spoke, “Well we actually implanted a bio-tech brain into a cloned body of yours with an A.I. that is ninety-nine percent like you. It pretty much is another you, but not. No one except you, me and the other gods will be able to tell the difference which makes it take quite a bit of divine power to do.”

Okay well that makes sense I guess. So if I choose Zeon then I would really get the best of both worlds. The decision has just been made so much easier. With a shocked expression on her face Chronos spoke up, “I just got a telepathic message from Pangu who said if you can think of a better name and if he likes it then he might just change the name of the universe later for you, but that’s only if he likes it, because the power needed to change the name of the universe in every living things memories and history is astronomical.” Hearing her say thing and not forgetting the shocked expression on her face I made my decision. “Okay I have made my decision then Zeon it is!”
