Aline P.o.v

It's another beautiful morning. I just woke up and the sun shines into my face. My usual routine of putting on my clothes and eating breakfast starts. I greet my parents, Wilhelm and Anastasia Eisenhaus, who, like always, eat breakfast together with me.

"Did you hear, dear? The son of the Kriftas already defeated his first monster!" (Wilhelm)

'WHAT?! We are both only 9 years old! I just recently started practicing magic and now he even already defeated his first monster? That hateful guy, always showing off.'

"I have already heard of it. His father supervised him, but it's still impressive how he could manage that at such a young age! You have to do your best as well, Aline. Maybe you can accomplish the same things as him." (Anastasia)

'Day in, day out. They always say, that I should be like him. I could do it. I can do it. They'll see, I will be better than him. So what if he already defeated his first monster? I will defeat 2 if it's like that!'

It became nighttime and I'm preparing for my first time hunting.

'I learned a bit swordsmanship as well, so a little monster shouldn't be a problem for me.'

I sneak out of our mansion and make my way to the forest on the outskirts of the village. I'm hearing a ruckus out of the village.

'Seems like they already found out that I vanished. Better hurry up so I can find a monster.'

About 30 minutes later, I find myself in the core of the forest.

'Alright, so how should I find my first prey? Wait... isn't that pretty bad?'

Suddenly, I can hear a deep growl behind me. I feel something breathing in my neck. An odor goes up my nose, which smells like it didn't brush it's teeth in quite a while and now something is decaying in there.

I turn around and look a gigantic wolf, with a snake for a tail and fangs like swords, directly in its eyes.

"HIIIIIIII" (Me)

I let out a pathetic scream and try to run away but the wolf jumps in front of me. The wolf seems to be wounded at its foot already, but that doesn't change the fact that I can't go against such a beast. I realized my mistakes.

'So what if I'm not as good as him? So what if he already defeated his first monster? That's no reason to risk my life for!'

Tears started to fall down my face.The wolf raised its front paw and strikes. At that moment someone from behind me shouted.

"WATCH OUT!" (???)

"Brother! Brother, wake up!" (Janna)

My little sister shakes me awake, seemingly disturbed.

'OH BOY, WHO DARES MAKING MY LITTLE SISTER FEEL ANY OTHER EMOTION THAN HAPPINESS?! HE SHALL BE SMITTEN BY TH-'

"What is it, Janna? Why are you panicking?" (Me)

"Aline disappeared! Her parents wanted to apologize to her for always comparing her to you, but when they checked up on her, she wasn't there! What should we do?!" (Janna)

'I can finally see it, I can see the ending!'

'Why so mad? We can finally conquer the heart of our first Heroine!'

I jump up from my bed and grip Janna by the shoulders.

"Who already knows of this?" (Me)

"Nearly the whole village is searching for her, so I guess everyone... why?" (Janna)

'Dammit, the risk of someone else finding her is higher.'

"Doesn't matter. You stay here Janna, I will go search for her. I don't want you to be in danger as well." (Me)

After my little sister agreed, I put on my makeshift armor and go in direction of the forest.

Why are you so sure that she's in the forest?

'Oh come on Screeny, you should know that. I just recently outed myself as being able to kill a monster. If she didn't feel inferior because of that, then who would? And that equals in the scenario where I have to save her from a monster. That's the basics of conquering girls in a fantasy world...'

I AM DEEPLY ASHAMED OF NOT KNOWING THAT! I HAVE BROUGHT SHAME UPON MY FAMILY! SEPPUKU!

I find myself surrounded by trees and activate my search life magic. In all those years my search radius increased from 500 meters to 2 kilometers.

'I know, I'm awesome.'

I sense Aline and am completely dumbfounded.

'Why the fuck is she there?! No monster is there in a radius of 1.3 kilometers... god dammit, I have to get her in danger myself before helping her out, don't I?'

I approach the monster which is the closest to her.

'Oh, so her first monster will be the same as mine huh? Does that make us, like, monster buddys?'

I throw a dagger at the monsters left hind paw. At first it wanted to take me on, but after seeing me it started to flee.

'Damn, I even got a reputation in this forest? Well, in this situation it even helps me...'

I lead the wolf in Alines direction. In the end, she finally encounters the wolf.

"HIIIIII" (Aline)

'Is that how a normal person would react Screeny?'

Yeah, but you are as far off from normal as it's possible. So don't worry about that.

'I somehow got the feeling that you just said something really insulting. But I can't really quarrel with you any longer, I have to start the conquering event now.'

The wolf raises its paw.

"WATCH OUT!" (Me)

Aline looks surprised behind her and I get her out of the way of the strike.

'ULTIMATE WEAPON: PRINCESS CARRY!'

I put her on my arms and face the wolf.

"Wha- Yu?!" (Aline)

My legs, which I enhanced beforehand, were tensed up to the limit. I jumped up and infused lightning into my legs. With a roundhouse kick I break the wolfs snout and he falls down wimpering. I land safely standing up and jump up again straight away. With a kick resembling a meteor, since the electric charges are flickering, I land on the wolfs head and it dies.

I put Aline down and she looks at me with red eyes, showing that she just cried.

"Who- who said that I needed your hel-" (Aline)

"DON'T MESS WITH ME!" (Me)

She looks at me with a startled expression.

"DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS?! WHAT WOULD I DO IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU?!" (Me)

Slowly, tears start falling down her eyes again. I put on a pained expression.

"If I came a second later, it would've already been too late..." (Me)

She starts bawling her eyes out and drops to the floor.

'Shit did I take it too far? ...nah'

I put my hand on her chin and look into her eyes.

"Please don't make me worried like that again, okay?" (Me)

I pull her in a hug.

She cries for another 20 minutes before finally calming down. In that time I didn't release her for even one second. She stands up and turns around.

"I- if you are so worried, then you should come with me when I go hunting. I don't want you to come with me, I'm just enduring it for your sake, since you are so worried!" (Aline)

I throw her my best smile. She glances behind her back and starts running away.

'GOD I WANT TO SEE HER FACE! I BET IT'S ALL FLUSHED AND CUTE RIGHT NOW! THIS NEW LIFE REALLY IS WONDERFUL!'
