《The Destiny of a Mortal God (Hiatus)》Arc 1 - Epilogue

A shadow flew over the trees, following a figure that walked solitary in the silent forest. The shadow lunged at the figure… and landed besides it.
“Hey Shawn, I saw the city!” – I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of leaving the forest at last. – “It’s as big as you said it was, or even bigger! I couldn’t see much from this distance, but I’m excited.”
“Hahaha, if I didn’t know better I would consider you a country bumpkin. It’s just a city, Lyon.” – How dare he? I faked a horrified expression followed by a smile.
“I’ve been in this forest for more than two years, Shawn, you can understand my predicament, can’t you?”
“Well, it’s ok, we’ll be there in a day, after all, and I’ll be able to introduce you to my family.” – Now that sounded interesting. He had talked to me about his sister, and she sounded like lots of fun.
*Groaar*
“Pffft… Hahahaha! Even his roar has become so much cuter! Hahahaha! – The sudden ‘roar’ the little cat made was hilarious. After a week walking, Sheen had started transforming, not only shrinking, but also softening its spiky mane, resembling more like a cat with a hedgehog on its head. It seemed that after a week bound to Shawn, Sheen had acquired the ability to shrink at will, allowing him to be carried this much easier.
“Hey! Don’t laugh at Sheen, this ability is super useful, and you know it.” – He puffed and picked Sheen on his arms, cuddling him. – “Don’t listen to him, Sheen, you’re the bravest of the Lions.”
And thus, the merry group kept walking through the solitary forest, unaware of the things that happened a few kilometers away.

“Lark, do you have it?” – A whisper traveled through the night in a dark alley, where a dark figure covered in a darker cloak stood alone. – “Asss promissssed, your reward will be waiting you where we accorded, onccce you’ve delivered the object we assssked of you.”
Wisps of shadowy light, as controversial that might sound, appeared from the shadows of the alley, gathering right in front of the dark figure. The wisps dispersed barely a second after gathering, leaving behind a dark translucent pearl. The pearl was the size of a bowling ball and it was made of some blackish translucent material, allowing those who looked closer to see something akin to wisps of light wandering inside of it.
“Kha ka ka, the Ssssoul Cage! With thisss we’ll be able to dessstroy thisss cccity, and so much more! Kha ka ka ka ka ka ka!”
“Hey! Who goes there?!” – Suddenly, a uniformed man, about two meter tall but fully human looking, appeared at the alley from around the corner, lance in hand. – “The curfew starts at midnight, show me your curfew-excluding papers or surrender yourself to the guard.”
*Hiss*
“I guesss now it’ss asss good time asss any to tesst it.” – The figure turned around and pointed the dark pearl at the man.

The sun rose, and a passerby walked right besides an alley, in his way to God knows where, when she screamed as if she had seen a ghost, and feel on her butt from fear. Right in front of her, where the alley started, the corpse of a man was lying facing the sky, his corpse was dry and devoid of any meat, seeming like someone had drained him of everything that made him him, except for the skin.

The reason she was as scared, though, were those eyes. His eyes were pitch black, but somehow reflected an enormous amount of pain, one the woman had felt on her body despite solely seeing the corpse.

Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.

The Tales of the Revolution
Synopsis: As a scholar of science and technology, Joseph Algorith was a man who pursued his dream in unrealistic methods, using his intelligence to surpass all hurdles in this Galactic Era. He was an idealist that combined his thoughts with realism. However, unbeknownst to him in how it had happened, he had gained the opportunity to research a new system, a massive planetoid shrouded in mysteries and magic. However, to fully realize his ambition and creativity, he must save the human race of this magical world, filled with different races and monsters. “The Heavens had forced me, so I shall propose and never will be disposed of.”- Joseph Algorith Spoiler: Basically, he is reborn, with his knowledge as a scientist of the galactic era, into a new world with magic and aura powers. In this world, humans are part of the 7 major races, but two (or three) are planning to enslave them, while the others are watching on the sidelines. His plans are to develop modern weapons to strengthen the human nation because the mages and aura users aren't immortal or have steel flesh even as they get more power to the point they can deal damage of a howitzer using special moves. Though it doesn't mean that there aren't magical armours (and other things)... Extra: I'm not sure if romance will be in this. Depends on whether you, the readers, would like it or how I develop the story further. And there won't be an exact release schedule as I prefer my pace of writing and because I'm busy in life (school and extra activities, FML). If you find any mistakes, please remind me. Also, my writing style and the pace of the story may be slower than other stories you might have read on this website. Though I may make some revisions with the story, considering my editor's thoughts. Also, my story has some concepts from RTW in terms of the idea of creating weapons in a magical world, however, the plot is mine. After reading, tell me, what do you think of the beginning? What do you think your rating would be.?If possible, comment down below anything that could help me improve or to express your thoughts. Lastly, please NO COPY AND PASTE!
