《Star wars: Selfish virtue.》Chapter 15: Stirrings

Coruscant, temporary chancellor office.
Palpatine was going over the report his agents had compiled for him. Around an hour ago he'd started getting news from the battle of Geonosis. Apparently, many more Jedi had survived then he'd have assumed thanks to this mystery mercenary outfit.
Invisible Sun huh. I don't have enough information on this Coda individual. He leaned back in his seat, the reports were worrisome due to the fact that he commanded highly advanced droids.
Where exactly did you come from Mr.Coda? Going over his options he slowly put together some plans.
If it is information I lack, I'll start by sending some probes his way. Nodding to himself. If I can use him, good. If he doesn't even prove capable enough to deal with this he isn't worth my time.
Sitting there alone he plotted his next few moves with a sinister smile.
Little did Palpatine know that he wasn't the only one moving in the shadows on a large scale anymore.
Christophsis, Dathomir, Ryloth, Rodia, Ilum, and even Coruscant had HK-Dropships arrive silently. On Tatooine, a squad of RG's were waiting at a spaceport as a ship touched down.
Soon the ship's ramp opened up as a bald grey-skinned woman exited the craft. Walking out of the ship she spotted five men waiting for her... No, not men. Droids? Assassins?
"Who are you?" She asked in a cold tone.
The one standing in the middle took a step forward. "Greetings. Lady Ventress, I presume?"
Her eyes narrowed. "I am. You'd better explain yourself fast, I do not have the time to waste on droids."
With a smug smile, RG5 answered. "My Lord informed me you might be a bit hot-blooded. No matter, we didn't come here to cause a scene or delay you so allow me to get to the point."
"Get too it then!" She hissed.
"My lord invited you to seek us out if you are ever in trouble, or if you get tired of working for and I quote 'Galactic edgelords'."
Edgelords? "And who is this 'lord' you speak of?" She asked with a cocked brow.
Nodding slightly he answered. "His name is Lord Coda, leader of the Invisible Sun. You should soon come to know the name. I'm sure your master will have to invest some time into dealing with him soon."
Her eyes widened slightly. "What does he know?!" She asked in agitation.
"My lord is aware of many things. He commented that you should seek him out if you ever wanted to make a real difference."
"You'd best get out of here before you make me angry!" She had become quite unsettled at this point.
"Of course. I apologize for our interruption. Have a nice day Lady Ventress." RG5 bowed respectfully as they then made their way out of the landing area.
Coda? Real difference? What nonsense. She thought as she watched them walk away. Though I should probably look into this.
Naboo, Theed spaceport.
RG65 walked out of the craft with nine of his siblings as they made their way to register.

Coming up to the dockmaster he introduced himself. "Greetings! My name is Dr.Robert"
The dockmaster glanced up from his desk as he was focused on work. "Reason for visiting and registration?"
Handing over a datapad with their credentials RG65 spoke up. "We're botanists. So we're just here to look at local fauna and see the planet. I've heard many great things about the beauty of Naboo." He said with a smile.
Hearing his home being complimented a small smile broke out on his face. "Well, it all checks out. I hope you have a pleasant stay here. Just stay out of trouble."
"Of course! And thank you. We never get into any kind of trouble, you won't even notice us." Bowing slightly they made their way into the city.
-("Split up and gather info. We'll enter the surrounding forests after a few days, we do not have an immediate time requirement so we should take it slow. We cannot risk being discovered as we search for the laboratory.")- He ordered them digitally.
Mission Objectives: Locate and observe hidden laboratory on Naboo. Viral agent suspected on location. Proceed with extreme caution.
All having received the brief they moved with purpose as they blended with the crowds.
Dathomir, Unknown Location.
Having landed, RG17 and three other units were observing their surroundings. Scanning around them RG17 locked eyes with a Nightsister that thought herself hidden.
As her eyes widened she was about to leave as he spoke up. "Greetings. We come in search of a witch that goes by the name Talzin. We mean you no harm."
She stopped for two seconds before resuming her previous course of action. While she sped off RG17 thought. Now we wait.
Within the hour they spotted a group of Nightsisters approach them openly. As they came within ten meters the foremost one spoke up. "She has agreed to a meeting, but do not try anything or we will kill you."
"Of course. We have just come to talk." He responded politely.
With a frown, she spoke again. "Follow me!"
They were lead through winding paths and ruined structures. The bleak landscape of this planet making it look extremely gloomy. Soon they found themselves at a large temple-like structure.
Entering they soon entered a large circular hall. Many Nightsisters could be seen standing at various places around the room as RG17 spotted the witch sitting in the back of the hall.
"Greetings, Lady Talzin. We have come to bargain."
Sitting face to face on the pillows Coda brought, the two of them simply observed one another. They'd been sitting there in silence for at least five minutes.
Suddenly Coda spoke up. "Before we get to any of the important stuff. I have a question I've always wanted an answer too. If you don't mind?"
Nodding slowly, Yoda responded. "Ask this question, you may."
"Great! The way you speak, is it a cultural thing, or just the way your species speaks?" The force around him simmered with curiosity on his behalf.
This feeling not hiding from Yoda's senses a small smile found it's way onto his face. "The way we speak, this is."

"Cool. I've always been a big fan of you you know. You are quite famous where I'm from you see." Coda explained with a happy smile.
"Famous, I am? From where, do you come from?" He asked with interest.
With a chuckle and a strange smile, Coda answered. "A galaxy far far away."
Seeing no deception from this statement it threw Yoda for a loop. Another galaxy? And they know of me? How? "Questions I have."
Nodding slightly Coda replied. "I know you do. To make this easier let me do something."
Yoda then observed as Coda dropped all of his mental shields to make sensing him easier.
"I'll just make a few statements and you can decide if I'm telling the truth. Sound good?" He asked.
Yoda just nodded at his odd behavior.
"Alright. Here goes. I am not Sith or related to them. I have no grand designs of ruling the galaxy or some such nonsense. I plan on helping people, and while I know you will not be overly fond of some of my methods I refuse to watch as millions if not billions suffer due to the inaction of those supposed to protect their interests." He said in a patient tone.
"Methods... Like Tatooine?" He threw a pointed question at Coda.
Knowing it was coming, Coda smiled solemnly. "Yes. Where I'm from there's something called karma. It's a principle that proposes that you get what you give. Do good things and good things happen to you, do evil or horrible things... You get it."
Shrugging he continued. "While it may seem vile, in my eyes it just comes down to basic math. They got what they deserved, ending their lives saves countless others."
"A detached way of looking at things, that is. Easily taking so many lives, a dangerous path is." Yoda rebutted.
"I consider it a necessary evil. It is also an equal evil to sit in inaction like I find the current protectors to be completely okay doing." Coda said coldly.
Yoda had been using everything at his disposal to discern the truth from this man, so far he hadn't picked up on any deception so he just nodded slowly. "Meditate on this I must. A danger to the Republic I do not feel from you."
Speaking up again he continued. "Active in this war, you plan to be?"
Coda shook his head. "Not for a while. I'll be going away for some time, but when I get back I might be able to lend a hand."
"What the future holds, we will see then." Yoda said simply.
"On that note. I have a selfish request." Coda said with an excited smile.
In the infirmary, Anakin had already woken up. After the initial shock of seeing his arm attached, he'd become shocked again when he saw who his Master was speaking too.
Looking to his side he saw that Padmé stood by the side of the bed. She wasn't paying attention to him though as she listened to the other two speak.
Squeezing his fist he noticed that his hand felt a little weak. That's when the RG unit that was standing by inside the room walked towards him. "Welcome back young master Anakin. Your hand may feel slightly off for a few days, try not to strain it while it recovers."
This drew the attention of everyone as they came up and checked on him. While confused, he was also very happy to see so many people care for him. They spent the next while speaking and filling Anakin in on what had happened while he was out.
Beatrix entered the room a few minutes later drawing everyone's attention as she spoke up. "I've been sent to fetch you."
Anakin observed the white-masked female droid as Kenobi asked a question. "What for pray tell?"
Nodding she explained. "It would seem Lord Coda and Master Yoda intend to spar."
When they walked down the ramp they could see Coda and Yoda stand in a large circle made up of clones. Coming to a stop next to a few clones Qui-Gon asked one a question. "Does anyone know what brought this on?"
The clone shook his head as he responded. "No clue. But I look forward to seeing how Coda fights another lightsaber user."
Turning to look at the clone he asked another question. "You know him?"
Shrugging he answered. "I guess. I did spend an entire day with him in the bug tunnels. I'm Captain 93 of the 71'st scouting regiment." He extended his hand.
Shaking his hand he nodded. "How was it?"
Chuckling a bit 93 replied. "He and his droids share a very similar trait while fighting. They are both relentless."
"I see." Qui-Gon nodded thoughtfully.
At this point, Anakin asked nobody in particular. "I wonder which style he prefers using."
Beatrix promptly answered this. "He doesn't use any of them. He's self-taught."
Everyone's head except 93's kicked back in surprise as 93 spoke up with another chuckle. "That tracks."
Coda took off his jacket and started rolling up his sleeves as an RG unit brought him his sabers. "These clothes won't give me the best range of mobility but it should do for a friendly spar." He nodded to himself. Looking off to the side he saw the group had arrived so he gave them a silly-looking wave.
Yoda saw the group as well as he turned his eyes back over to Coda. "Why insist on this you do, I do not understand."
A gleeful smile appeared on Coda's face. "Crossing swords often says much more than a simple conversation does it not?"
"Sounds like an excuse, that does."
Shrugging Coda replied. "Who knows, maybe I just want to see how my fighting compares to a legend?"
