《The Floating Dungeon》Chapter 22

The five adventurers still alive stared in shock at what happened to their comrades in what was supposed to be an easy dungeon.
Well, thought Amy, that proves them wrong.
In all honesty, she thought they were going to be a lot more difficult to kill. But either her monsters and creatures are a lot more effective in defending her, or this group was simply not that good at their job. Well, whatever it is, there are still five left within the dimension, not including the three people that operated the ship that the group came on.
Amy turned her attention back to the group when she heard them talking.
"What in the Viarrus happened, Jaxon! You said that this was going to be an easy in and out job!" yelled a red-haired lady, who managed to make it onto the overturned boat at the bear-eared leader.
"How the fuck was I supposed to predict this, Esta! It's a new dungeon, with little to no information on what's inside of it. We all knew the chances of something like this happening, so stop whining and keep watch. Who knows what's watching us."
When Amy heard this, she laughed because the same penumbra who was stalking the group the whole time was still watching the survivors.
As the rest of the group delved into arguments, Amy watched, and the penumbra penguin finally made its move. Not too far away from where the overturned boat floated was a patch of acid seaweed, which the penguin noticed and used.
The penumbra broke off pieces of the seaweed very carefully while being gentle enough that the sacs of sulfuric acid did not break. Slowly, the penguin pulled the stalks of seaweed towards the boat and placed them strategically against the wood. Then, with speed, the penguin broke the sacs of acid with its beak and swam away before any of the acid could reach it.
Which was a smart move because the acid quickly started eating at the boat, no matter what charms or magic was on the boat. As the acid ate through the planks of wood, the boat began to sink into the water. By the time the arguing group realized that the boat was sinking, the acid had already spread to the point that if they jumped off the sinking boat, they would get caught by the acid.

But the group did not realize that there was acid in the water, and by the time they realized that there was something wrong with the water, the whole group was in it.
Amy watched as the group started thrashing and screaming in pain as the acid ate at their skin, muscles, and bones. Their screams held their anguish, pain, and terror at what was happening. But they died quickly, which Amy was glad for. As even now, watching people be eaten by acid for a while would make her sick. Even though she was sorry about what happened, she put that out of her mind. These people were going to do something to her that she assumed was like slavery, so they had to die.
When the adventurers died, and after she absorbed the bodies, Amy spotted the pieces of wood that were not fully dissolved yet and decided to preserve them and stop the acid so that it could become something like driftwood. So she grabbed one of the circulating mana strings and separated a small section from the circulating mana, and coated the wood with it. This would hopefully preserve the wood somewhat.
With the adventurers dealt with inside the dimension, all that was left for Amy to do was deal with the ship's people. Since they did not really do anything to her, she would give them a quick death.
The first thing she did was spawn about 20 glass jellyfish in the area surrounding the ship. She chose the jellyfish to do the job because they have a potent paralysis toxin, and if she could paralyze the people on the ship and have the ice barracudas attack the neck, quickly killing them.
But that required the people on the ship to be in the water, and she had just the way to do that. One of her evolved creatures, the ice scaly-foot snail, releases a small but powerful blast of ice from the ice mana that it stores in its shell. So all she had to do was direct the snails that were ready to release the ice mana to key spots on the ship and wait for all the crewmen to be on the deck. Hopefully, the blast would knock them off.

So, after directing the snails and having the barracuda and jellyfish on standby, Amy waited for the crewmen to all be on the ship's deck. After about an hour of waiting, she finally had her chance, so she ordered snails to release the ice mana.
Like an explosion going off, ice spikes pierced through and surrounded the wood with a big piercing boom. The blast of ice was enough to force the ship to tip over, and the crew fell off the deck. Quickly the jellyfish stung them, and the barracudas came in for the kill. The men were dead in seconds, and Amy let the bodies float off and out of her territory with the current.
As she watched the bodies of the three men float off into the ocean, Amy noticed the ship, and it gave her an idea. If she could drag the ship into her dungeon, she could sink it, preserve it, and make it into a new reef or add it to an existing reef.
But that left the problem of how to drag it through the portal. The only way that she could think that this would work was by completely opening access from the ocean to the portal and making it large enough that she could fit the ship through.
To do this, Amy had to drag the ship using mana strings to the side of the iceberg with the least amount of obstacles, with the most direct path to the portal. With a bit of maneuvering, she was able to open a large enough tunnel that only half of the ship could fit into. So she had to use mana strings to essentially cut the ship in half before she could drag the two halves through the tunnel and through the portal. Surprisingly she was able to get the pieces through the portal without separating the ship even more so.
Amy then placed the two ship pieces on the most western side of the dungeon and sunk them. When she looked over her dungeon, she realized that she should not use the ship just yet. That she should wait until the dimension increases another 100 metres when she finally gains a second floor. So she left the two pieces of the ship and contemplated what to do next.
The last month or so had been very eye-opening and active. First, she was discovered, then people tried to seal her, and then Amy realized that it was time to move on. That she should release the chains anchoring her to the spot and follow the current to her next adventure.
With a deep breath, she pulled the two anchors back up. Amy then placed the chains and anchors into two individual rooms that she created to hold the chains when they were not in use. Within seconds, the strong ocean currents caught hold of her and started pulling her farther away from land.
Well, thought Amy, there is a whole world to explore and new creatures and plants to add to her dungeon. I wonder what I will see next?
