《The Legendary Class》Hiatus

I started this fiction as practice . . . to see if I might eventually be able to write something more intricately plotted that I could actually publish. To that end, I picked a Lit rpg because it seemed easy to get into. A logical choice for a starter fiction I thought. I never wanted or intended to write 200 chapters as the MC slowly got strong enough to do something about the coming Age of Terror over five years. I was very happy with the plot twists I came up with, but the majority seemed to dislike them. I envisioned progress on two tracks, as Arn et al try to get ready for the Age of Terror and deal with the Endbringers, while Jennifer/Keana deals with things in the real world. To me, the idea of a pocket world that was just as real as our own, in its own way, made total sense. My inspiration was the pocket universe concept from Men in Black. But people didn't seem able to get on board with my concept that every "NPC" was an AI that could pass the Turing test -- a sentient. To me, that made Arn's world "real," but others didn't agree. So I clearly miscalculated things.
With folks mostly not liking the direction, I'm questioning whether I want to continue or put the time towards my next project. I've learned a lot along the day, and think I'm ready (hopefully) to try something more intricate.
I currently plan to continue on, in between other projects, at a much slower pace. Thanks for understanding!

Shadow Knight
MAIDEN TRILOGY: BOOK 2 Devorah Kempenny is small, slight, and sickly. Her aunt, the Governor, insists that she learn history, politics, and economics in preparation for some mysterious purpose. But Devorah would rather read novels and dance in the rain and while away her time wandering the dusty old library. When she's summoned to Fort Shepherd, Devorah learns she may well be the secret weapon her aunt expects her to be. Soon, she finds that swords, shadows, and necromancy are hers to wield with ease. SHADOW KNIGHT is the second in the MAIDEN TRILOGY, a fantasy-epic, coming of age, hero's journey. It is my second novel, written between January 1, 2011 and July 21, 2012. The novels in this trilogy take place concurrently rather than consecutively.
