《Congratulations, You're Dead!》# 36

I'm in the backyard, surrounded by trees, when I sense a familiar face walking up to the house. It really did take more effort than I care to admit to not stretch my Magic to cover half the city. So, I had to comprimise and make another mini-jungle.
"Abigail!" I call out. "Back here, through the archway." I make a pathway through the trees for her.
"Oh, there you are." She comes bouncing up. "I'm not bothering you am I?"
"Not at all." I wave her concerns away. "I'm just trying to keep myself occupied while the girls are at the Guild. Was supposed to be working on some enchanting, but I can't seem to get armor out of my head right now."
"Uhh, I can see that." I look up and she's staring at a certain red and gold armor with a huge codpiece.
"Hahah, sorry. That's a bit of an inside joke." I make Iron Man Mk. "D" vanish into my Inventory. "So, what can I help you with?"
"Oh, yeah." She shakes her head to get the image of the armor out. "Aunt Marta was hoping you guys could come to dinner again tonight. Please say you can." She begs. "She's been acting weird since yesterday and said she'd only tell me what it's about after she talks to you."
"I'd love to, just let me call Amelia and make sure she hasn't already made plans."
"Huh? I thought you said she went to the guild." She looks visibly confused.
I just take out my phone and ring up the girls. "Hah!" Apricot's voice rings out. "I told you he'd check up on us before noon. Now, hand over my chocolate."
"Sorry to disappoint, sweetie. But, I'm just calling to see if either of you made plans for tonight yet. Abby's here, and apparently her aunt has some really good connections. That, or word about you know what is starting to spread, probably both. Anyways, she was hoping we could come for dinner again." I speak in code in case they're not in private, and to keep Abigail in the dark until her aunt decides to tell her.
"Suck it pixie, no chocolate for you." I hear a deep groan after Amelia says that. "Hi Abby, we'd love to come over again. I haven't made any plans, but Sorrel, you should give her a phone just in case something comes up and we have to decline at the last minute."
"I was planning to." I look at the girl who's standing there with her mouth hanging open. "Why don't you say something Abby?"
"Oh, umm... Hello?" She finally speaks.
""Hi Abby."" My wives say in unison. "Do you like Sorrel's new toy?" Apricot continues. "Well, not 'new' new, he's made a few things since."
"Oh, quit teasing her Apricot." Amelia chides. "We'll see you tonight Abby, but I've got to go right now. Okay? Bye Sorrel, love you."
"Love you too." I disconnect the call. "Sorry, she was probably in a meeting."
"No problem." She shakes her head again. "But um, what is that? How were we able to talk with them from so far away?"
"This is my first enchanting project... well, the upgraded version." I take out my enchanting gear and build one for her, giving her the number 867-5309. After remembering the music video, I thought the number would be perfect for our little peeping tom-ette. "For you, and here's one for your Aunt. The numbers are on the back. Just push the green button, then tap out the number you want to call. Red to disconnect." I demonstrate on mine before handing her a slip of paper with mine and Amelia's phone numbers on it.

"Was that Temmie?" She stares at the phone in her hand, bewildered.
"Yep. She thought it was funny idea." I smile, still glad that System-chan played along and let me record her 'saying' 'Answer the phone.' "Now, those have built-in recharging runes, but try not to talk for hours on end. They should work anywhere in the Capital, and soon beyond."
"These must be priceless treasures, I can't accept them." Her eyes go wide and she tries to hand them back.
"These are toys." I wave her away. "I barely consider them to be functional, but I have so many other things to do that I haven't had the time to complete them. So, please take the phones." I plead. "Help me save the time it would take to track you or your Aunt down if I ever need to. Time is the only thing I don't have enough of, after all."
"Yes, Sir. Th-thank you." She cradles the phones like they're precious.
"None of that 'Sir' business, just call me Sorrel. Now, I'm sure Marta has plenty of other errands for you to run today." I wrap up our conversation.
"Ugh." She groans. "Don't remind me. Even with all the Mage practice I'm doing, she's still making me be her apprentice. Thank you again, and I'll see you tonight. Bye." She rushes off.

Abby's POV:
"Gods, why did he have to have that stupid armor set up? I was just starting to be able to forget about that night." I mutter to myself and start to think back to that night I spent at the dungeon.
***
Everyone else is already asleep but I'm just laying here, staring at the stars. Sorrel and Amelia went into their wagon a little bit ago, that beautiful creation that he made for her. 'I'm so jealous!' I can't help but think. 'She's got him, she's got magic, and her tits are bigger than mine! It's just not fair!' I breath out a soft sigh, careful not to wake Aunt Marta.
A minute later I hear a soft sound coming from their wagon. Looking over, I see Amelia leading Sorrel by the hand over to that amazing bathhouse. My jealousy flares as I follow them with my eyes. 'They're going to... do. it.' I can't even think the actual words.
They enter the bathhouse, and Sorrel kicks the door closed behind him. But, what's that? It didn't latch. It's still open a crack and I can see a hint of light. I quickly glance around to see if anyone else saw, but no, they're all fast asleep.
'Oh, Gods! What am I thinking?' I give it a minute before carefully walking over, thanking Sorrel in my mind for growing this soft grass. I listen at the door and once I hear the water running, I open it slowly.
The light is completely different from earlier. Before it was all bright and shimmering. Now though, the room is subdued, the fish are gone now, replaced by glowing green flecks stirred back and forth in a nonexistent surf. 'it's beautiful!' I almost gasp out loud. 'Is this what the sea looks like at night? I've never read anything that sounded like this.'
"...please..." I hear Amelia moan over the noise of the shower. Feeling bolder, I carefully creep forward, and peek around the corner. "Please what?" Sorrel asks. His voice low and full of teasing. "Please stop?"
My breath catches as I see them there. I Thought all his creations were amazing and beautiful. But, these two people truly are the most glorious sight I've ever seen. Both naked, with the water flowing over their perfect bodies, standing under these magical lights. 'Beautiful!' I have to hold my breath to keep from speaking aloud.

He's holding her hands up above her head with one of his own. Slowly, he guides her back out of the water stream, pressing her up against the shower wall. His other hand teasing and stroking between the stunning blonde's thighs the whole time. And... 'is that a spell? Does he have four arms?' Either way, my own nipples instantly tighten, poking up through the soft fabric of my night shirt, once I see what they're doing to the dripping blonde's breasts.
"Don't stop!" Amelia groans. "I need it. Please!" She takes in a ragged breath as her body ripples with convulsions. "Put it inside me! Please fuck me." She begs, shivering. Her legs going weak.
Sorrel bends over and whispers something into her ear that sends another round of shivers up and down her body. 'Gods, let him whisper to me like that.' My left hand unconsciously rising up to cup my breast. As my right hand drifts lower and lower.
Pulling back, Sorrel shifts his body and... 'is that another arm? Oh! Oh, my!' ...drawing his hand back from between the blonde's legs. It's coated in a thick fluid, with a long sticky trail leading back to Amelia's womanhood. Sorrel coats the tip of himself with her fluids before guiding it closer to her opening, teasing around her folds for a moment. Every slight touch seems to drive Amelia wild. Until, finally, he slips it in. His extra arms teasing and pulling at Amelia's nipples at the same time. She lets out a gasp which he captures in a kiss.
My hand slips into my pants at the same time, my fingers finding that I'm at least as wet as the water mage in front of me. 'Oh, Gods! What am I doing?' My breath coming out as soft pants as I slide two fingers inside myself in time with Sorrel's steady thrusts.
They're locked like that for a moment. Amelia's arms captured by Sorrel's as he drives into her with a slow, steady, relentless pace. Their mouths joined together as those dexterous appendages of his do wonderful things to Amelia's supple breasts. Until, it's finally too much for the stunning woman. She screams out, her legs wrapping around his waist as she wrenches her hand free and grabs onto his back, driving her nails in deep.
I have to bite my lip as my own orgasm rocks through me, drenching my already soaked panties. I have never felt so good in my entire life and it's all I can do to keep from screaming out. 'And that was happening to Amelia, over and over?' I think, stunned.
Sorrel seems to have been waiting for this from Amelia, though. He moves his arms to her waist, shifts the extra ones from her breasts to that plump, round ass. And, he starts pumping. His tempo changes from slow and steady, to fast and furious in an instant.
I'd thought I was done but, seeing this, I can't help but follow along. Using three fingers now, slamming into myself as Sorrel slams into Amelia. The hand on my breast, now clamped in my mouth to keep me from screaming out as the intensity builds. Then, a moment later, all three of us begin to shudder at the same time.
Sorrel buries himself into her with a groan before collapsing to the floor with Amelia on top, her body wracked by spasms. I nearly follow them, but fear of being caught gives me just enough strength to stay up right.
I can't take any more and slowly back away, my knees weak, hoping they're too distracted to notice me. As I'm closing the door, I hear Sorrel pant out a chuckle. "Haah, hah. So, wanna try it in the bath next?".
'Gods. They're going again?' I think, flabbergasted. 'I'm completely done in just from watching that.'
I stumble to the privy to clean up before collapsing back in my bed roll for a very good night's sleep.

"Hahaha." Apricot cracks up when she sees the Iron Man suit I made. "Oh, that's awesome. Are you sure there's enough armor, though?"
"What is it?" Amelia calls from the kitchen before walking out to join us. "Oh gods, Sorrel. What is that? I thought you were going to be working on Magic engines today. What's all this stuff?" She looks around at the mass of armor prototypes I've created since they left.
"Yeah..." I rub the back of my head in embarrassment. "See... I found myself having trouble concentrating, and 'someone' put the idea of armor in my head earlier." I give her a pointed look. "So, I decided to run with it, and put my craziness to work."
"Sorrel, baby. You. Are. Not. Crazy." She says each word slowly, and deliberately. "There's nothing crazy about wanting to keep your loved ones safe. So, please put that monstrosity away and show us what you made." She looks askance at the codpiece.
"Well, I wanted to go straight for carbon nanotubes, but I don't know how to make them, and I think I'll need Mana Mastery before I can work directly down on the atomic scale like that. So, I got a little creative instead, and even got myself another step closer to Mastery in the process. I made a few different kinds because I don't really know what we might be facing." I levitate samples of my three favorites over and pin them to a tree.
"Not sure about a couple of those words, but please continue."
"All of these will stop knives and swords, so I won't bother showing that." I pull out a longbow that I made earlier. "Please move out of the way." They hop behind me faster than I can blink. "Really? It's not like I would have hit you, I just didn't want to take any chances."
"Uh huh." Apricot mumbles unconvinced.
"Moving on." I sigh. "The top one is basically just a linen gambeson, only better." I loose an arrow at it, and float the hit sample back. "As you can see, it can stop most arrows with the wearer only getting a scratch, if that."
"But, it's so thin." Amelia fingers the millimeter thick fabric after I take the arrow out.
"I did say it was better. That's basically my smallest finest weaving, stacked into several layers and threaded together." My face shows a smug smile. "Next up is a scalemaille which I know I can make better in the future, but right now it can still stop a crossbow bolt." I take one from my inventory and fire it, the bolt pings off of the armor a split second later.
"Damn, Sorrel." Apricot curses. "And you want to make that better?"
"Of course, he does. He's Sorrel."
"Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet." I move a few potted trees aside revealing a ballista I crafted from modified cherry wood.
"Fucking hell, Sorrel!" Amelia's the one to lose her cool this time.
"Yeah, I know." I sigh. "I knew it was too much as soon as I made it... but you still want to watch me fire it. Don't you?"
"Damn straight!" Apricot agrees immediately.
"Oh, honey." Amelia sounds defeated. "Go ahead."
"This last one is something special. Barrier!" I cast to protect us from any blowback. *WHAM* The projectile hits dead center, but ends up shattering itself. *Crack* The force imparted was enough break the tree behind the armor.
""Ahh"" The girls scream out at the sudden violence mere yards from us. "Did it work?" Apricot flies up to get a better view. "All I can see is broken tree."
"Sorry. Decompose!" I get rid of the destroyed target and float a ten centimeter metal hexagon over to us.
"How the fuck did that tiny thing stop that oversized beast of arrow... and survive with barely a scratch on it." Apricot's voice rises as she lets her excitement get the better of her. "What the fuck is that made of?"
"Steel... technically." I prevaricate with a sly smile on my face. "At least that's what Identify describes it as. I think that annoyed Temmie, but it is true." A disgruntled *Ding* verifies my words.
"Calm down Apricot, have some chocolate." Amelia waves a bar at the hyperactive pixie. "And, what is it really?" She asks me.
"Awesome? Hahaha, no hitting. Haha." I don't even bother dodging her blows, I deserve it for that. "Okay, okay. Sorry, heheh. I wasn't able to make those nanotubes, but I did manage some graphite. And, if you've got that, you've got graphene."
"No idea what any of those words mean, babe." Amelia says flatly.
"Sorry, think of it all like different types of coal with special properties. Did you know diamonds and coal are made of the same stuff? They are, and those nanotube things are like diamond threads, and graphene is more like a flat sheet."
"If you say so." She looks kinda tired. 'Note to self, don't surprise the wives with siege weaponry anymore.' I cringe inwardly.
"Sorry, babe." I kiss her on the forehead and get on with it. "But, if I just used the graphene to make steel it would just turn back into graphite and make regular steel." She makes a move it along gesture with her hand. "But, that's where Magic comes in to play."
"So, you made really good steel?" She asks
"Yes, and that is what the scalemaille is made from." She just stares at me for that. "Sorry, but you know I like to show off. This actually uses a special trick that metals have. See if you freeze molten metal, extremely, extremely fast, then it doesn't crystallize. And without those crystals to propagate cracks, it's much harder to damage." I get an idea and create some amorphous ice for her. "See compare this to regular ice."
"Why didn't you just show me this in the first place?" I can feel her focusing her all on the sphere of ice I made for her. "Oh, for fucks sake. You show me more about Water Magic in a second than an entire morning at the Guild."
"Didn't go that well, I take it?" I move behind her to begin rubbing her shoulders.
"Oh, the people were great, but they just didn't have anything new to show me." She takes in a deep breath and holds it for a few seconds before emptying her lungs. "Sorry, for being a grump. You were all excited about your new discoveries and it kinda got to me."
"You've told me not to help you with Water Magic before, and you haven't really needed it. But, there's a couple things I could show you based on knowledge from Dirt." I offer gently.
"Fuck it! Lets do it." She turns to face me with fire in her eyes. "This better be good though, I need a pick me up."
"You two are going to do it? Right here in the courtyard?" Apricot faux gasps.
"Oh hush you. Also thanks for putting up with me, and sorry, I know I was as much a grump to you as I was toward Sorrel."
"Don't worry about it babe." She flies up and kisses Amelia on the tip of her nose. "Now, put on a good show for me."
"Keep those magic peepers open, this should be interesting." I whip out my staff and focus my magic through it to create a vacuum surrounded by an Air bubble, and then fill it with liquid helium.
"That's one of those rare trace elements in the air right?" Amelia asks having sensed them all in their liquid forms before when I was messing around with Air Magic.
"Helium, an allotrope of it to be precise." At her questioning look, I explain. "Allotropes are just like how carbon can be coal, diamond, or graphene. This is called, unimaginatively, helium four. Now, I need you to help me make it really, really cold. Colder, give it everything you've got. Good, good." I pass her a couple Mana Stones and give the superfluid a spin.
"Oh, fuck! It doesn't slow down." She sees it right away, just like I knew she would.
"There's still more, if you're up for it?"
"Colder?" She asks, already knowing the answer.
"Colder!" She pours her all into cooling it down while I ramp up the pressure until...
*Ding* "Oh shit, I finally Mana Control from that. What is it?"
"It's not easy to hold, is what it is. I've really been slacking on my Water Magic." I squeak out while trying not to drop the magic. "Focus now, explain later." She doesn't waste anymore words, instead drilling her focus in on the supersolid we just created. I put my all into holding as long as I can while she probes with her magic, but can only last a few minutes. "Sorry, used too much magic earlier, I'm losing it." I warn before it fades away.
"Oh, babe." She gloms onto me and starts kissing me. "That was amazing, what are those called?"
"That was pretty cool." Apricot puns.
"Superfluid and supersolid." I say, ignoring the punning pest of a pixie. "It wasn't my area of study, so don't know much about them, but I thought seeing them might help you."
"Hell, yes they did!" A wide grin breaks over her face. "I've got so many ideas now."
"Good, cuz I need a lie down after that." I chuckle.
