Chapter 6 killing the bandit leader, off to the city

After hearing all these notifications afzol smiled.

"with these level ups once I have healed I should be able to fight with a Qi refining level 8 and even if I can't defeat them I can still escape with ease with my speed," afzol thought as sat and waited for his body to heal.

With this fight, afzol was able to better analyse the strength of these at Qi refining stage and what he figured out was that with his strong constitution, speed and fast recovery speed he could fight people above his stage.

Another thing he understood from analysing his fight and the others fighting was that he didn't see anyone use a second innate ability. This was a huge surprise to him.

This meant that either he is the only person able to get a second innate ability or that have more than one innate ability was uncommon and even extremely rare.

This was great news for him as it is one of the reasons he is able to fight across stages and this will give him even greater advantages as his innate abilities evolve.

As afzol sat and healed he watched the fights in front of him reach a climax. The young lady was clearly stronger than the leader of the bandits. The Bandit leader was struggling to deal any damage to the young lady and was even injured.

It was clear to see that he was going to lose very soon. This was also what the leader of the bandit was thinking and so immediately turned to escape into the forest, but before he could run into the forest a spike rose from the ground and struck the leader bandits left leg, drilling a hole straight through the leg making the bandit slam to the ground.

After falling to the ground the leader bandit couldn't move a step as his leg was stuck within a spike made out of the earth.

This was the young lady's innate ability. She seems to be an earth elemental.

After being pierced and is now unable to move, the bandit leader could only wait for death. The young lady strode towards the bandit leader ready to kill.

But suddenly afzol shouted to the young lady "stop". And after hearing the shout the lady immediately stopped and looked at afzol

"little brother why do you stop me from killing him?" the lady asked afzol

The young lady's attitude towards afzol changed greatly after she saw him killing the two bandits. She was in awe of afzol after seeing his power, at the same time she was extremely grateful to him, as without him she might have been killed and worse she might have been raped or even tortured by the bandits before they killed her.

As afzol heard the young lady's words, he stood up and walked towards the lady.

Right now all the life-threatening damages to his have all been healed and all that was left were some minor cuts and bruises that were still healing.

"can you please let me kill him?" afzol said as he walked towards the lady and the bandit leader

The young lady was a bit surprised by the fact the little boy could kill someone with such comfort, she was always told that she was too soft and week for always avoiding killing and hurting people and beasts. So seeing a little boy many years younger than her act like this made her disappointed at herself.

Hearing that afzol wanted to kill the bandit leader She walked away from away from the bandit leader and went to kill the bandit fighting with her uncle.

As afzol stood a few steps away from the bandit leader he laughed

"hahaha so what were you saying before about skinning me alive and feeding me to beasts," afzol asked the bandit leader

" please don't kill me, I will do anything, I will give you everything I have" the bandit leader cried out

Afzol ignored the bandit leaders cries and sliced his knife straight through his neck.

Hearing all these notifications brought afzol great joy. The reason he wanted to kill the bandit leader himself was not because of his foul language but to see if he would get experience from killing someone he hasn't defeated himself

So hearing his level up gave him his answers.

killing the bandit leader Afzol looked through the body and found a small pouch on his waist which afzol took. Right now afzol was very poor and he needed to take everything he could get.

After checking that he hasn't missed anything he turned around and walked towards the lady and her uncle and as he got close to them he saw laying on the ground the dead body of the bandit the lady's uncle was fighting.

“Little brother you're so amazing, you are so strong.” As young lady commented as she saw him walking to her

“I was just lucky and ate some plant that made me really strong” afzol replied

“How come I can’t sense your cultivation? You can’t be in a higher stage than me can you” the lady asked

Afzol was surprised by this comment and so asked the AI system why she couldn’t see my cultivation

After hearing the announcement afzol was quite surprised that the AI had such a hidden feature and wondered what other undiscovered features there might be

“ it’s best to not let her know my cultivation or she might be too shocked by the fact that I can fight these above my stage and this could lead to other troubles, especially if people realise my fast speed of improvement.” Afzol thought as he denied the AI from turning off the hidden mode

“ I don’t know the plant I ate must somehow be able to hide my cultivation from others,” afzol said to the lady

The lady accepted his reason not stopped asking any further about it

“Hi I didn’t introduce myself before, my name is Sarah and this is my uncle " the young lady introduced herself and her uncle to afzol

"Hi my name is Afzol" Afzol replied

"Thanks for helping fight these bandits, without your help I might have fallen into a really bad situation.

Didn't you say you were heading to the city? since we are both going there why don't you join us in my carriage and we can together?" Sarah asked

This time the uncle didn't interject, so Afzol accepted the offer since now.

Going with Sarah meant he could reach the city faster and also at the same time he could get some information from Sarah about this world and its cultivation system.

And so they got into the carriage, afzol and the uncle sat on one side as Sarah sat on the other and the carriage moved off.
