The sun poured out its brilliant sunlight into the horizon like a pot of molten lava.

On a grassy area within the Dark Forest, there were a hundred soldiers riding their horses as fast as lightning as they were traveling deep within the forest. They were protecting a large and luxurious carriage.

Though the surrounding area was empty, the soldiers looked very alert. Their swords and scimitars were unsheathed. they were like tigers, ready to pounce and react on any danger.

Within the carriage,

" Master if we continue traveling at this pace, we will arrive in the Mulan kingdom in just two days." Said a beautiful woman with a voice filled with care and her eyes filled with love and tenderness as she was looking at the young man laying down on her laps.

" Hmm." The young man only nodded as he dozed off.

The woman was playing with the young man's hair, gently caressing it with such tenderness that one might think that the young man was like her precious thing in the world.

These two people were none other than Shad and Monalisa of course. After Shad had left the imperial capital, Monalisa had waited for him outside the city gate as she wanted to accompany him on his journey.

Despite Shad's refusal, She Insisted and convinced Shad that she would be more helpful to him due to her void magic in the Mulan Kingdom than waiting in the imperial capital. It did not take him long before he agreed with her, Indeed, She would be quite helpful to him.

One of the reasons that he did want her to accompany him was because he did not want their relations to be public, but now, he was a full-fledged adult and can have as many servants or maids as he wants.

Currently, it has been more than five hours that they've left the imperial capital, the luxurious carriage ran from the capital like the wind despite its enormous size. The horses were from an excellent lineage, so they were able to go through the hard mountains trails without much difficulty.

Shad was looking at the beautiful moon and the endless stars in the sky. Just gazing at the midnight blue canvas above stole every thought and worried from his mind. The starry sky above was way better than the sofware immitation he used to see back on earth. Everything seemed bigger and brighter, blurred in the most fantastic way.

As Shad's eyes were glued onto the stars above that glowered large like street-lamps, a sudden change happened in front of him.

A strange shadow abruptly appeared under the moonlight. It created waves as it twisted midair. It had emerged from the covers of the nearby trees within the forest at an unparalleled speed and had made its way towards Shad like a red streak of light.

The red streak of light had arrived in front of Shad's chest in a flash.

The accuracy and the timing of the attack had been unparalleled. Whether it was the timing of the speed of the attack, they were both unequal and matchless.

The surrounding soldiers felt as though they were in a dream as they watched the red streak of light about to penetrate into the prince's chest. the red streak of light pushed in as he penetrated Shad's chest and then retreated at the same speed it had shown up. The shadow made its way back to the dark forest covered in trees and disappeared without a trace.

From the start to finish, everything had happened in a flash and it was over in a blink of an eye as well. The surrounding soldiers did not even have time to yell for help or defend the 4th prince as he was being attacked.
