Those two men were none other than Chris and Amadiel of course. After they have escaped from the valley of death, they came straight into the lair of the mountain tigers' bandits to hide because they didn't want the powerful lightning mage to follow them.

The lair of the mountain tigers was protected by a powerful illusion magic formation. This formation was so strong that one has to be at least an 8th class mage if one wanted to break it or see through it.

The mountain tigers bandits had relied on this magic formation to rule over the valley of death till now. No matter how many times they have killed some of them or no matter how many soldiers the royal family had sent after them, as long as they had that formation, it was almost impossible to exterminate them.

Furthremore, the valley of death wasn't only considered as the lair of the mountain tigers bandits group but also a future base for the 3rd imperial prince for the Red Storm Legion once they finally conquered the whole southern region of the Mulan kingdom. They would use it as a stronghold to invade other cities in the north while protecting the southern region from the royal capital or the Djage empire's invasion as it was the only path to the south.

Besides them and the leader of the mountains tigers bandits, It was almost impossible to find the location of that place. However, as soon as they got in, they felt as though someone had followed them and passed through the formation as well. As such, they went back to confirm their suspicions and that's when they saw 4th imperial prince in a dazed, looking at the nearby house and the sky.

They were both surprised and happy at the same time. They didn't know how he found that place but it sure was a good thing because they didn't have to go back empty-handed and reported their failure to the 3rd imperial prince.

Their mission was to kill the 4th imperial prince, and it did not matter how many men they lost in the process. As long as it was done, the 3rd imperial prince would be greatly pleased.

However, Shad's casual attitude toward him caused Chris's anger to explode three times over.

" You must be the leader of that group of people that set the ambush to kill me earlier" Asked Shad as he finally glanced at Chris.

However, the mere eye contact they shared was enough to fill Chris with dread. Shad's gaze was sharp, arrogant, and wild like the king of wolves in the dark forest. His gaze was sharp like a sword and cold as ice. His eyes were filled with ruthlessness.

Under his gaze, the living things in the world were nothing but ants. All of the Egul continents were no more than grass to be trampled on.

Especially his right crimson eye, it was very red, so deeply red, and so frightening.

His right eye was flickering a red ray that caused him to shudder. Similar to the eye of a demon, it carried a frightful air that seemed as if it would engulf his entire body.

" Didn't you want to cut off my head? Well, I'm here now, so what are you waiting for?" Shad glanced at Chris, almost not bothering to even talk to him. He had a weird smile on his face as he was looking at him, which made Chris felt as though he was nothing but a clown in his eyes.

Not only that, his previous white lightning had turned into red which seemed twice as powerful than before. The new power within him was like a volcano trapped inside a rocky mountain. It's calm yet there were a tremendous power and explosiveness hiding inside.

Furthermore, His entire body was brimming with a boundless physical strength. This time, he could feel that his body was definitely stronger than before, but however much stronger he was now, he didn't know.

While looking at Chris and Amadiel who was hesitating whether to attack him or not, he suddenly thought of something.

" Lightning eye destroyer."

As he said that, a small red magic circle appeared within his right eye. At the same time, a large crimson colored light surged forward and slammed into Chris's eyes.

He couldn't lift a finger and he was unable to make a sound as though his soul had been separated from his body.

Chris's heart rapidly sank, because he knew that he would die if he kept on looking at the 4th imperial prince's right eye. His only hope was Amadiel who was standing next to him, but he showed no sign of attacking or even looking at him as he was in a daze.

Seeing how he was going to be killed by the 4th prince without him lifting a finger, Chris mustered all his energy and yelled." Amadiel, kill him."

Amadiel who was in a daze and shock by the overwhelming destructive magic power emanated from the body of the 4th imperial prince suddenly woke up from his muddledness.

As though he was aware of what was going on, he raised his right hand toward Shad. There was a silver ring in his finger which looked like an exquisite work of art and had a glistering gem embedded at its crest.

With one look Shad could tell that this was a magic artifact with a permanent spell inside. Due to his right eye, he was also able to see the energy pathway and the structure within and knew what kind of permanent spell was within.

The moment Amadiel raised his right hand,

A bundle of bright white light emanated from the ring on Amadiel's finger. The piercing bright light suddenly blinded Shad temporarily which caused the lightning eye destroyer magic spell to disrupt.

At the same time,

" Wind blade storm," Yelled Amadiel as he quickly cast a 5th tier magic spell after he had blinded the 4th imperial prince. He knew that Shad was strong which was why he decided to finish him up with his single most powerful magic spell.

A blue magic circle appeared in front of Amadiel followed by a huge tornado advancing towards Shad's position. Inside this tornado, there were many wind blades flying around.

The wind blade storm was like a tidal wave causing a violent tremor on the ground as it destroyed and uprooted every single house in its wake. wherever the wind blade storm passed, it formed a long trail of a crater in its path.

Roughly five seconds later, the wind blade storm finally stopped and everything became clear to Amadiel and Chris. Besides the destroyed houses, the 4th imperial prince was nowhere to be seen.

As for Chris, he stood up unsteadily and scanned the area as he was looking for Shad. He knew better than anyone just how strong that monster was and what he was capable of, he knew that this attack was not enough to kill him.

" Looking for me." Suddenly like a ghost, Shad's figure appeared behind Amadiel as he raised his right index finger behind his head.
