《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 90

" I understand now." Answered Shad with a serious look on his face after listening to Nina long story.
" I have never thought that you were one of a descendant of the legendary man known as Henry, so can you really read that book he left behind." He continued.
" No, only my sister might be able to read it. Unlike me, my sister showed no interest in magic or martial art despite having an Indigo grade level of innate talent. She mostly devoted her life to the exploration of historical remains and learning all kind of ancient languages. Furthermore, there was a book that has been passed down from generation to generation to my family that contained many words and their meaning in our language which could have helped you, unfortunately, we had lost this book as well." She calmly answered, her expression was as cold as ice as always.
' That book was probably some sort of dictionary made by Henry' Thought Shad.
" Where is your sister then?" He asked.
Shad was not asking for her sister because she wanted to use her to translate that book just like the others as he was able to do that by himself. He just wanted to make sure whether it was her that started that rumor or someone else.
" She was taken, most likely by the people that were trying to decipher the content of that book as well." As she said that, her body was emanating a thick killing intent.
" Ohh, I am sorry to hear that. Did you look for her?" Shad said with an apologetic look on his face.
At this moment, Shad had the feeling that Nina's sister was probably kidnapped by the same person that leaked the information about the treasure left behind by Henry in the Black Mist Forest. If what Nina said was true and her sister was able to read that book, then it was safe to assume that she had already translated the whole content of that book to that person that was holding her captive.

However, one thing was bothering him, why would that person leaked that sensitive and precious information to the public instead of looking for that treasure by himself in secret. It did not make sense at all. Unless there was someone else that able to read it aside from Nina's sister and himslef.
" That's what I'm doing which lead me to this forest." She coldly answered.
Indeed, the Black Mist forest was the only real clue or place to start looking for her sister. Whoever started that rumor probably had her sister as well so it was understandable for her to come here. If he she could catch one of these people, she might have a chance of getting the information about her sister's whereabout from them.
" Do you have an idea who the people that kidnap your sister might be."
" I am sure you probably heard of them, the Eye. They are the people that have been hunting the member of the Henry family for centuries. Because of them, we had to change our names and scattered throughout the continent. However, lately, aside from them the imperial families and some powerful nobles families in the Egul Continent were hunting us as well for the sole purpose of translating that book left behind by our ancestor fro them."
" They believed that our ancestor was not from this continent and probably not even from this world. Aside from that, they also believed that he had left all of his treasures somewhere within the continent, and the book in the weird writing he left behind was the map or the instructions of how one might find that treasure."
" The funny thing is, even though Henry was our ancestor. There hasn't been a single person in our family that was able to understand his weird writing untill my sister came along."

" By that time, the book he had left behind was already stolen long ago except for the one with the words and their definitions. Unfortunately, that book was stolen as well not too long ago."
There was nothing but hatred in her eyes when she was saying those things, especially when she mentioned the Eye, Her eyes were filled with killing intents. Well, cant't Balme her, the Eye has been pursuing and hunting her family for centuries and forced them into hiding.
' Of course, your family would be targeted by the imperial families and nobles families in the continent. Your ancestor was someone both feared and sought by any power within the continent. Not only that, but his method was also heaven-defying as well. Any sane person in the continent would drool over the treasures someone such as him left behind.' Though Shad.
In the meantime, looking at the cold and arrogant Nina, Shad felt a sense of familiarity an closeness. Not because they were master and servant but because she had the bloodline of someone that came from Earth running through her veins.
The Earth that Shad had known was probably long gone and destroyed by now with nothing remained. Shad was looking for the treasures and the things left behind by Henry not only to strengthen himself or his family's Empire but also to find something that could bring him closer to his true origin, something to remember Earth by.
Even though he was not living a good life over there in his previous life, that didn't mean that he hated that place and did not wish to come back after some time or when he was strong enough. Now that it was gone, There was no place for him to come back and the World of Eidrin became his only homeland.
" Don't worry, I will help you find your sister and if those people that had started that rumor were the one that kidnaped your sister, I have a pretty good idea where we might find them," Shad said with a slight smile on his face.
" What do you mean." Asked Nina with a surprised look on her face.
" It means, I know where the so-called treasure is. Follow me." Without giving Nina any chances to ask any questions or anything, Shad dashed deeper within the forest.
When he had read the first volume of the diary left by Henry, Shad remembered how Henry was describing the place he had crashed. Even though he did not give any explicit information that could lead him to the exact location because the whole place was a forest with mountains and trees everywhere, to make matter worst, that event happened over two centuries ago. Nonetheless, he did mention that he used to go take a bath in a huge lake behind a certain mountain peak. After looking at the map of the Black Mist forest, Shad found about the location of that lake. If he can get to that lake, By using his strong spiritual force which was able to cover a distance of more than 500 meters radius, he won't be long before he finds that pod.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
