《Diary of Erica Kron》Day 307

Today I finally integrated my new plant, which I am calling Requiem, because the humming noise it makes sounds almost, mournful. It does exactly what I expected it to, dramatically increased my mana production. Nothing shocking there. I ended up spending most of the day messing around with the stuff, seeing what I can do with it. I find that it works really well with Pipeweed
The enchanting specialist showed up today, finally, so I had to meet with him. He was irritated when he found out the emergency that he had been called to handle wasn’t there and probably would have caused some problems if I didn’t offer to pay him to teach some of our people enchanting. Based on his reaction the amount I offered is quite a bit more than what his services are actually worth. It’s not a big deal as the money is coming out of my personal savings instead of the money used for the people, I just wish I had offered a bit less. I just really want to avoid another situation like this.
The enchanter accepted and from there Tiddol took over, she is the one to handle all of that type of stuff after all.
The remnants of the volunteer army, who need a better name than that, have made some rather impressive progress in only a day. They impressed me with their ceaseless drive and determination to master what I am teaching them, but they should tone it back a bit so they don’t burn themselves out. A day’s worth of progress isn’t going to make a huge difference here, but they still accomplished quite a lot pretty quickly. Excluding the ones who already had some skill manipulating plants, the best of them is already capable of making a sword in under a second. Still useless to try and use in an actual fight, but it’s certainly better than I could do when I first started.

One of Erica Hornmark’s kids showed up about an hour ago while I was working, one of the Notherune’s. The kid practically begged me to teach him magic. Considering how ruffed up and twitchy he was, I get the feeling that his father tried to do something to stop them from trying to learn from me. Not that it’s my business, I honestly don’t care if he goes against his father, it will only make him want what I have to teach them more. Maybe I can convince him to bring his siblings along.
Since there was no way he could really learn much of anything in the mental state he was in I put him to sleep so he could relax and calm down. I’ll start teaching him after I finish writing today.
Anyway, Good Night Diary.

Earth Exodus
Elliot isn't the first one taken, he was the last, or one of them at least. Careless divines, gods, or higher powers had been snatching humans through numerous means over the years. Those that returned brought minor tokens of their previous power if anything at all. Over time unrestrained magic became commonplace on earth. Which must have brought attention to us. The earth is ravaged by increasing levels of rogue magics, divines, and a war over resources and experience. Eventually resulting in a mass exodus of the remaining powerless humans by a coalition of gods. Now translocated to Vauthia where everyone has been given a path to power. They're met with an unfortunate reality. They've only been rescued from one dying world to be tasked with saving the new one. While at the same time they're apparently supposed to compete with one another. Meanwhile Elliot wasn't just given a path to power. He was given a choice. The opportunity for true power is offered. When as he reaches for it the power isn't all it's cracked up to be.Systemless in a world where everyone else has access to one Elliot must grapple with a multitude of problems from without and within. The 'gods' might actually be incompetent, uncaring, downright malicious, or all three. His power is constantly three steps behind those who chose the quick path to power. There's also the antisocial tendencies he's brought with him from earth. Can he trust the 'god' who seems to be taking him under their wing? Will he be able to catch up to his fellow earthlings who're ever increasing in power? Is it possible he may just break out of his shell along the way?*** What to expect ***The initial start will be quite slow, building the setting, history, and individuals involved. There is a small bit of progression in these early chapters for the MC, but more along the lines of figuring out how their systemless power works. though once the story gains traction it won't stop.*** Don't tell Elliot, but ***Elliot hates to admit it but he's very clearly antisocial. Not to mention troubles with thinking that stem from several un-diagnosed disorders he'd rather believe don't exist.*** Image Copyright *** //In this satellite image released by Copernicus Sentinel imagery, 2020 twitter page dated Dec. 31, 2019, shows wildfires burning across Australia. Gangs From Another World
This story takes place in a world like our own where magic and high technology rule the day. This particular world is ruled by a feline race. The race is divided up into 12 clans (like Greek city-states), with their own territories, solar systems and planets. These 12 clans answer to the original Home World for external disputes, negations, emergencies or to direct military operations only. Within the time-frame of this story, a new Emperor has recently ascended the throne, approximately a year has past since the ascension. He was the previous ruler of the Clan Ya-kith-Thar or Clan founding #3, world of the artisan cats. Unfortunately, not all residents have benefited from technological wonders. The forgotten, who were not lucky enough to be Royal born or middle class and above, experience a hard life, like those of the colonial worlds. The poorer denizens see the technological marvels from their windows, and yet experience little of it. This is the story of one such group living in the ghetto of the Capital city, written by Horus Blackburn, leader of the North-Central Gang.
