《Vacation of a God》Chapter 13

Above the city in the sky above
A crimson light was out for blood.
The people looked on in awe and fear
Blind to the tragedy that would soon appear.
Angelica was flying through the sky and headed towards a mansion built in the noble district. Angelica knew the behaviour of mortals as an angel her duties took her to many places around the universe.
Her lord Skyler had very publicly executed the son of a noble. Of course this is trivial to her lord as the man deserved to die after all, however the disgusting mans family would likely not stay silent. Even if he was a bastard child he still carried their name.
When her lord became angry after seeing the condition of the abused woman Angelica knew what would come next. Before the execution occurred she quickly questioned one of the guards about the disgusting man.
With all the information at hand she instantly made her way to the family of the disgusting man. On her way there she knew she had but only two choices. If the family was just as disgusting as the man then she wouldn’t hold back and deliver judgement upon them. If they were innocent then she would make sure they would never lay a hand on Skyler no matter what.
Flying in the sky Angelica was using her vampire princess abilities. Instead of her angelic wings which radiated holiness and divinity she was flying with black leathery bat like wings. Her appearance was quite different to her usual look as this look was more fierce and aggresive. The family of the disgusting man where staying in a city not far from Zeah. It only took Angelica a minute or two to find the right place.
Using her divine sense Angelica scanned the whole noble district searching for her prey.
“Found you.”
Closing in on the mansion the residents had no idea of what was about to occur.
Angelica gracefully landed on the roof and made sure that nobody saw her. From her previous scan off the mansion she could sense dozens of guards scattered around the perimeter. Scanning inside the house she could sense maids and servants going about carrying out their duties. After a few seconds of searching she finally found what she was looking for.

Every angel including Angelica has mastered the holy element of light. Angelica being the right hand of Skyler and the strongest angel has also mastered the element of fire. As the angel of slaughter she strikes fear into the hearts of her lords enemies and destroys all evil in her path. Skyler’s left hand Micheal is the opposite of Angelica. Micheal has mastered the element of water and protects his lord’s allies and supports those who stand by his side. If a picture had to be painted then Angelica would be sharpest and deadliest sword while Micheal would be a giant unbreakable shield.
Retracting her wings Angelica jumped through one of the open windows in the mansion. Bending light around her she made herself invisible to the naked eye and waltzed into the mansion like she owned the place. As the place was full of mortals no one was able to sense her. Maybe if the mansion employed a high ranking mage they may be able to detect the mana being emitted from the spell which was currently being used by the bloodthirsty angel.
Angelica headed straight for the room that looked like the office. If she could find evidence of their evil doings then after she burned the place to the ground she could leave the evidence in the hands of the inquisitors.
While her lord was enjoying his stay here in the holy kingdom Angelica wasn’t sitting around idly twiddling her thumbs. She had researched the kingdom and the world they were now in. The inquisitors were a group of knights that worked for the king. They had the job of making sure everything in the kingdom was legitimate. From nobles to huge companies created by merchants.
Arriving at the office Angelica slowly opened the door and snuck into the room. Using her divine senses she started going through important books related to the nobles. After a few minutes of searching Angelica couldn’t be any more disgusted. Her findings were that this family was actively extorting the people of their land. The money would then go into supporting the slave trade which was illegal in the holy kingdom.
Angelica took all the documents she needed then flew into the sky destroying the roof in the process. Looking down on the mansion in disdain she could sense that the head of the family was currently eating in the main hall alongside his wives and sons. Every single one of them was guilty.

“For the crimes you have committed against the innocent you shall be judged by the flames of hell.”
Her cold bloodthirsty voice travelled for miles entering the ears of everyone close by.
Floating in the sky Angelica raised one hand into the air. She then began to create a giant ball of fire which dyed the sky red. The ball of fire was enormous and looked like a mini sun hovering above her hand.
“Die!”
With swift movement Angelica threw the ball of fire towards the mansion. In just mere seconds before contact Angelica cast a teleportation spell on the maids and soldiers who where innocent transporting them to a safe distance away from the slaughter that would soon commence. As the ball approached the mansion almost all plant life and every flammable object had already been disintegrated.
*KABOOOM*
The ball of fire had directly hit the mansion which had created a gigantic explosion. The sound and intensity of the explosion intensely shook the earth below.
The flames then started to spread at speeds which weren’t normal. Everything was being devoured. The walls the floor the ceiling every single piece of debris that had survived the initial blast was now being incinerated to ashes at an abnormal pace.
The flames of hell were unique flames. They were almost sentient and would consume everything the user wanted. In this case Angelica had judged this family and those related guilty and the flames of hell were happy to oblige.
Hell and heaven do exist in the grand scheme of things, but they are quite different to what many believe them to be. The two realms are just places where souls are held while they wait for reincarnation. A virtuous and good soul would be sent to heaven where they would be rewarded for their deeds. This was the same for hell. A soul judged to be guilty of evil deeds would be sent to hell. The time spent in the realm and the severity of the punishment would depend on the deeds committed. There are many souls banished from the cycle of reincarnation because of the heinous deeds and they spend the rest of time suffering in the depths of hell. Again it’s the same for heaven those who have done a lot of good while they were alive can choose to spend the rest of their days in heaven or of course reincarnate.
The flames of hell that have now surrounded the destroyed mansion would burn and devour everything to ground. If the maid’s, guards and other servants innocent of the crime were still at the scene they would still not be touched by the fire. Even if the person was doused in the most flammable of substances the flames would not burn them. The guilty however could not escape. The flames would incinerate them until nothing was left. Even if the guilty jumped into the ocean the flames would not be doused. The only reason the innocent maids servants and guards were transported away was the heat and explosion created by the ball of fire before it landed.
Angelica was still flying in the sky looking down on the destroyed mansion. Her face carried no expression no remorse no guilt. She was used to killing. By her standards the destruction and havoc below was nothing. Looking down below her confirmed that the family had perished so she started flying towards the closest inquisitor headquarters. Luckily every city has a headquarters. Since Angelica didn’t want to go through the hassle of talking to each member and going through with the procedures they had in place she left all the evidence in the biggest office in the building. With the evidence now in the right hands she eagerly headed back home into the warm arms of the man she loves.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero (Update 09/19/21)
(Updated 09/19/21) Hello and welcome. If you made it this far and the book title sounds interesting, I'm hoping you'll read a few chapters. Here's a sample from chapter 1 of "Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero."Slowly starting to wake up, I become aware. It's like coming out of a fog.Head hurts.Body hurts. There's a conversation in the room. This isn't my bed. Someone is touching my arm. I crack my eyes to look. She doesn't notice. Is she praying for me? Her hands do feel good…do feel... Slipping back unconscious, my eyes slowly close. I didn't notice the soft green glow under Jenn’s hands.*******************"It does look like he saved them or at least stalled them long enough for us to get there." says the man dressed more like a park ranger than an officer of the law. "I did think he was part of it at first" he continues "but the evidence shows he wasn't there and they were certainly fighting on that back road where we found them""I don't care who he is." says a woman as she enters the room. "He saved and protected my Jenn. I will make sure there's not a mark or a scar on him before he leaves". As she continues the few steps over to the men speaking, even though dressed simply in common clothes, there is no doubt the race of elves is in her heritage. The grace and lines of her form. The elegance and lightness of her step. She glances at her daughter, still watching over the young man in the bed. "Do we know who he is yet?" she asks no one in particular."Not yet dear" a man in a white coat responds. A handsome middle-aged man. Fit, but not that of a fighter or ranger. "I asked Talon to bring another identification stone with him. I was hoping ours was just broke, but it's reading the same.""What do you think is wrong?" Talon asks."I'm thinking we just have to wait until he recovers. I have heard of cases where the stone didn't work. Powerful spells can hide or wipe a person clean. I doubt he's a spy or a criminal. Spells like that are just too high level if, they're used at all. My best guess is, there is just some disconnect with him being unconscious. When he wakes, we can ask him or use the stone again then."I find myself waking up in a hospital bed. The attending Doctor finds it odd that he cannot identify my class. An Officer says I’m a Hero for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but he’s asking too many questions for my liking. I know an accusing tone when I hear it. I don’t remember any of it and I need to find my way home.Author’s notes. Original work. First draft and update of chapters 1-16. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. Almost fifty chapters are completed as I pen this introduction. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. The tentative release schedule will be once a week. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6
