Lily woke up early even though she did not have to attend classes. After hitting the snooze button a couple times she crawled out of bed and took a shower to wake up. After her shower, Lily put on a pair of shorts and a frilly half shirt that showed off her lean stomach and walked through her condo to the kitchen. She grabbed a large grapefruit and a container of orange juice from the fridge and placed them on the counter.

She used a large kitchen knife to slice the grapefruit on a wooden cutting board and spooned a light coating of sugar over the exposed pulp. She then poured herself a large glass of cold orange juice and sat down at the table to eat her breakfast.

Though Lily wasn't as much of a gamer as her guy friends, she was still excited that this morning she would finally have her Gate Gear Capsule delivered and installed. She sat daydreaming of the exotic races and the fantasy world of Kingdoms Online while she ate her grapefruit.

Lily was a very good looking young woman and found it hard to go out a do the things she enjoyed without being constantly hounded by men wanting to get to know her. This was why she often went out with her guy friends from college.

Rick, Ryan, Luke, and Joel attend the same classes as her and they got to know each other through study groups. This group of guys always treated her as an equal and listened to her opinion on matters without dumbly nodding while staring at her chest.

She relished the time she spent with these guys and always had felt safe around Rick. Rick's size and quick temper to protect her were enough to drive off anyone who approached to try and pick up on her or became a nuisance. Rick treated her like a little sister always lending a helping hand and protecting her from scumbags. Lily had no desire to have a boyfriend at this time in her life. She wanted to concentrate on her studies without dealing with the drama of a relationship.

Lily cleaned up the kitchen and placed her bowl and glass in the dishwasher and went out to watch TV and text on her phone while awaiting the delivery from Prodigy Wave Corp.

She soon greeted the delivery men who professionally installed her Gate Gear capsule. After signing a couple forms she was once again alone in her condominium. Lily looked over the manual and learned how to connect and disconnect from the game. From what she read the capsule had to do a nude scan the first time someone connected so Lily closed the window curtains and striped down. She climbed into the new capsule and went through the initial scan.

She entered the game and was dropped from a great height through a circular hole in the roof of a Roman/Greek type temple where she met a helpful AI named Faith. The AI Faith had her take a test to determine what skills she would start with and then helped her chose a race. Like she had discussed with her friends she chose the elven race. Lily did not change her looks or size, but she did lengthen her hair and changed the color to a platinum blonde to match most of the other female elves she had seen in the character viewing room.

When she had finalized her changes Faith sent her down into the game world. Lily found herself inside of an enormous hollow tree that seemed to be a temple from what the elven priestess told her. This beautiful temple was dedicated to the Elven goddess Silandra Twilight. The interior and everything inside the temple seemed to have been shaped from the tree. The stairs, benches, altars, and walls were all formed from this huge tree by nature magic.

Even the temple windows seemed as if the tree grew to allow open gaps rather than them having been cut out. When Lily finished marveling at the tree temple she stepped outside onto a boardwalk that connected to the surrounding trees. The boardwalk was high off the ground and allowed access to homes, shops, and public buildings. Lily stopped to open her skill menu and examine what skills she had earned through the test she had taken.

Archery must be what they call a racial instinctive ability. Cooking is something I had always enjoyed doing and have even taken cooking classes. Masonry, Carpentry, and Paving are from what I have learned from my Architectural Engineer classes. Then Night Sight must be another instinctive ability that elves get.

Lily went through her status menu clicking on each attribute and displayed stat box to read their descriptions. She gradually learned what each one was related to and how it could help her. She then closed her menus and asked where she could find stores to buy clothes, weapons, and armor. Rick had given her a few pointers on what she would need to get started and soon she had bought a new outfit, a set of leather armor, a bow, a quiver, arrows, and a short sword.

When she had equipped all of her new gear she followed a spiral staircase that wrapped down around a tree trunk to the forest floor and set off into the surrounding forest. She used her bow to hunt small game in the area and slowly raised her Archery level to where she could venture out even further. Soon she was hunting bigger game taking on wolves and bears. She stored all the animals she shot in her inventory. Lily did not have a knife to field dress them and was a little squeamish about attempting it to start with.

She had an exciting time hunting the varied wildlife and discovering new locations. As she progressed in skill and distance the woods soon thinned out and she found herself on a beautiful white sand beach looking out at the ocean waves rolling in as the sun appeared to be descending into the water on the horizon.

What a breathtaking sight, I can see why so many people love this game. This is my first day and I am already loving it myself. A gorgeous world that you can become strong enough to go anywhere and defend yourself from anything.

With a longing sigh Lily turned around and hunted back to the elven forest settlement and sold the animal she shot to a butcher. She climbed the stairs back up to the boardwalks and explored the tree top settlement and people watched as the sun went down and lights in the homes and shops illuminated the trees all around creating a picturesque scene.

Lily made her way to a small inn she had found while exploring and rented a room for a week. She ate light dinner of breaded fish and a baked potato and went to her rented room. The rooms furniture had a wilderness theme made of logs and branches with the bark still on it. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. It was hard to believe that she was about fifty feet off the ground right now.

She looked out her room window as the settlement became quiet and the boardwalks emptied of all the busy elves who had been walking about them all day. Lily walk across the room laid down and disconnected for the day.

Disconnect!

She woke up in her capsule still nude from the scan earlier and was a little cold. She opened the lid and redressed while recalling her adventure that she wanted to tell her friends about.

Once I get strong enough where I am not a hindrance I will have Rick come get me and I can see the city he is building and we can go out on adventures and discover new places together. Then Ryan and Joel will also eventually meet up and we can all have fun together.

Lily sat down on the living room couch and called Rick to tell him all about her first day in Kingdoms Online.
