Chapter 6 “A new day”
After a long night, the sun finally started to shine and the light has overcome the darkness. Anari was walking the alley, still reflecting on what happened yesterday.
It all started when she tried to climb a tree. She came up with that idea after she heard about someone else that was climbing various buildings but also other things in the city. The rumor said that it was a person who wanted to get Assassin class so he imitated a character from some game who was known for his climbing and jumping ability. Naturally Anari didn’t want to get that class, but she somehow came up with an idea that if she climbs the tree then maybe a refreshing thought will come to her mind, which would help her with her quest. In the end, she failed at climbing the tree but she somehow succeeded with her quest.
She didn’t do it without a help though. The person that helped her introduced himself as Arata. She have met him before and even helped him a little, but this time it was he who helped her. Without him, she would probably still struggle with so called Morgorian Riddle or what was also quite likely, gave up already.
The person that helped her had a great knowledge about the game although he shouldn’t have any information about it. He claimed that it’s just a common sense to behave like that but Anari thought differently.
“He had many different sides within him”
She thought now. The bright, usual side. The other silly side on which she could laugh at. The intelligent side, when he tried to solve everything with reason. She also felt that he had somewhat dark side as well, the one that he wouldn’t want to talk about and didn’t want other people to see. He also had a brave side within him. He said to her that, she won’t die as long as he is near. Normally one would think that he wanted to show off, but Anari knew that wasn’t it, especially because she saw his serious face when he said that. There was also one incredible side in him, the one that he showed during his fight against the wolf. At that moment Anari couldn’t move at all, but nothing happened to her as she was protected by him. Even though in first moment of the fight, he already was on losing position, as he lost his arm while he was protecting her, Arata stayed calm and fought to give her time to run away. The scenes as he was dodging and countering wolfs attack were like in the movies. It wasn’t that he was super-fast or something, but rather every move that he made had a reason in mind. Well, he was quite fast as well if she thought about it. When wolf speeded up he just rolled away, stood up and prepared for a next attack. Even though his attacks had no effect on the beast, he did not give up until the end. He hoped that she would eventually start to run, but she did not do it and she nearly wasted all his effort.

“I am so stupid.”
She thought to herself, but wasn’t it normal that she behave like that. Normally the VRMMO slowly but steady prepared players to somehow face against the monsters, sometimes those monsters doesn’t resemble monsters at all, in EOA however, they got thrown into dire situation without any explanation. To Anari, it was rather strange that Arata stayed calm instead. When she was lying on her knees unable to do anything, he had fought an impossible fight. What was more, he even managed to win. At one moment he lifted his sword with his one hand which he had left. Then he recited some kind of poem, that she didn’t remember, nor did she really understand. But some way or another his sword started to shine with a great bright red-white light, and with that light he destroyed the wolf in one attack.
“Ah, there was another side in him as well”.
Last side appeared after he won his fight. It was a little crazy side but also very pure. He was shouting, he was laughing and he was smiling, but in different way than before. It was pure smile of a child who just got a Christmas’s present from for Santa Claus.
After that he died.
Anari was shocked at that moment and stayed in park for another two hours without a moving and continued to cry, but with time she realized that her helper didn’t die for real, that she was still in the game. After all, no matter what, the worst thing that can happen was just her returning to her room in the real world and that was the same for other players as well.
“Even though that is just a game I froze in fear and couldn’t do anything.”
At least in her defense one can say that EOA is just as realistic as reality itself. Inexperienced players were all just like that.
“For Arata it probably wasn’t a big deal dying one or twice as long as he enjoyed himself, even at the start of the fight he said that she had no more than 5 minutes to run away, and just as those 5 minutes have pass, he died. This meant that from the very start, he had no chance at living. But he fought never the less until his very last seconds.”
Those were Anari’s thoughts, although Arata did care about dying very much. Even ignoring his loss of level and time of play during the first month of play the worst thing was that it hurt his pride as a gamer.

“But normally you wouldn’t risk yourself for someone else, especially when he could run away without a problem at all. Waaa, he was indeed good strange person after all”.
Although that wasn’t really the case as if Arata started to run and lost the sight of the beast even for a second, he would die instantly. Well she didn’t know that. Anari recalled the moment when she first meet him. There was a boy who called him a hero and she also somewhat thought of him the same way.
Anari finally reached the chapel and without getting lost on that.
When she was still in the park, she got a message that told her something along the lines. ‘The time has come for your profession to be chosen.’ It also said that the process will take place in the chapel so she should make her way there.
She entered the place as she was holding her staff in right hand. She wore beautiful orange ring on her left hand middle finger and she also wore long grey-white cloak.
After she entered a chapel one of the priestess came to her and showed her the way to the altar.
After passing through a hallway they arrived there. The room with the altar could be described as very white. The walls were white, the floor was white and the celling was also white. The altar was also white and it was covered by white table cloth. There was nothing on the altar itself and the room seemed quite empty. There were no paintings on the walls. There also wasn’t a single window there. Still somehow the room was really bright.
As instructed Anari moved to the middle of the room and only then, she saw that there was someone else inside it as well. She didn’t saw him before simply because that person was small. Still it seemed like behind the altar there was some kind of ‘box’ on which the man was standing.
It was old, small and fat person who was wearing a white-red robe. He was also wearing the high hat in the same colors. That was an Archbishop. When she entered, he started the talk.
-as many before you and many after you, you too have come here to see your destiny. Destiny is an interesting thing. Some says that it’s a fate and unchanged road that everyone must follow. My Hero Academia: Pathway to the Top
One day a boy woke up as a baby in a world that was eerily similar to an anime he'd watched. Finding out it was the world he was thinking of and having little to no memory about his past life, he decided to become the strongest. Just like to point out that I don't own My Hero Academia, it belongs to someone else and all that jazz. Please don't sue me, cheers. Neither do I own the cover photo, if the owner wants it removed, message me. Heavily inspired by another fiction on the site called Ascending Hero by WinterFrost.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)

Nameless Hypocrite
"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Despite his precarious situation, a young man ignored the union's provocations. His violet robe was in tatters, showing the incredible number of attacks he received, yet there was no sign of injury. Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man. A malicious gleam revealed itself in his eyes; he unsheathed his sword, a long, curved blade, and deflected the projectile, spiking it into the ground. The archer's eyes widened before being split in two. He died suddenly and indignantly. The group backed away; their former confidence diminished greatly by the invisible counter. It was then that the young man sighed, his voice full of lament and self-pity. "Being a saint truly is difficult, even the world cannot understand my righteous actions." The expressions of the surrounding heroes turned ugly. Such blatant hypocrisy! Yes, the protagonist is a villain. We don't do morals here. New chaps when I write them
