Gabriel was hauling ass towards the local village cemetery while reading the quest details [Tu Manchu] gave him.
[Quest: (Personal) (Hard) Find the Demon Barber of Draugr Street and kill him]
Recommended: LVL 5.
Task 1. Slay 4 Draugr barber shop quarter guards (0/4)
Task 2. Slay Demon Barber (0/1)
Task 3. Get moustache comb from Demon Barbers corpse and return it to Tu Manchu (0/1)
Quest Notes: Tu Manchu has asked if you could get his moustache comb off the Demon Barber as he lent it to him and now, he won't return it to him. This is a personal quest from Tu Manchu.
Rewards:
+50 (RP) with Tu Manchu
Unique class (unknown)
Because this was a [Personal Quest] the rewards are a bit on the small side however Gabriel knows that one of the hardest things to raise in game is you Familiarity level towards high level NPC. It was important as they usually gave out great Unique quests and rewards when you had high Familiarity with them.
The different sort of quests was as follows:
Basic
Advanced
Hard
Impossible
Chained
Unique
Personal
Gabriel knew that in D.O. you never could tell when your Basic quest would turn into a Chain quest or Impossible difficulty quest. Many factors are reasoned into the difficulty settings, not just your level but also the state of the world, your class, whether you were by yourself or accepted the quest with a party. There are quests that were useless for a solo player. A player had to have a guild with thousands of people or an NPC army behind you, no matter how strong you got you can never finish it by yourself.
Or so most people thought. Gabriel in his past life was one of the few exceptions to the rule. Due to his 'Jack of all trades' class, he was a Healer, Tank, DPS all rolled into one man. Hence his title of "One Man Army". Gabriel took on many quests alone, that were said to be unbeatable unless with an army.
Gabriel was a goofball most of the time but once he started fighting, he turned into someone else entirely. In the middle of a battle you would generally find him with big scary grin on his face. It didn't matter how powerful or how many enemies there were. Gabriel would always charge straight ahead and more times than not, he came out on top.

Never truly understanding why he always found the happiest moments in his past life, was when he was fighting someone strong, all his worries, short-comings and general frustrations that he carried around all the time. They seemed to disappear in those moments and only one thought was on his mind. It was to fight! Fight and win!
Gabriel skipped over the area in between the Novice village and the cemetery, this was an area populated with Level 1-3 Rabid Wolves. Luckily Gabriel didn't have to worry about pulling agro on himself as there was already plenty of other players in the area. They were running solo or in groups targeting all the wolves in sight. Agro worked a little different in D.O then other games, roaming monsters and the like didn't have areas where they were confined too.
Besides bosses or some unique enemies that were in certain places. Most roaming beasts outside of dungeons can freely go wherever they want. They did generally stay in their own territory as it was the law of the jungle out there. If they went into another beast's territory, the invading beast would generally be killed quite violently.
Gabriel remembered a painful memory as he trekked. It was when he first stepped into D.O last time. He had just entered the [horned rabbit]'s area and accidentally ran into the [Horny Rabbit King]. It was a Field boss and Gabriel just so happen to interrupt the rabbit while he was with a "mate".
The Horny Bastard was not pleased with Gabriel, so the [Horned Rabbit King] called all his brethren in the area to wreck Gabriel's butt. Before he knew what hit him, he had a couple hundred horn rabbits on his tail.
Anyone can imagine how terrifying that would have been for a new player. To add insult to injury, because Gabriel had so many rabbits chasing him, when he tried to enter the Novice Village they closed the gates on him. The Villagers wouldn't let Gabriel back in, until all the sadistic rabbits were gone. It was only after a day of being chased and occasional pricked in the ass, that Gabriel managed to lead the army of rabbits to the [Big Red -Wolf King Field boss]. This led to them all being promptly slaughtered.

Gabriel finally made it to the Draugr Cemetery after an hour of walking. There was about 100 meters of open space between the Wolf Forest and the Cemetery's entrance.
There was one Draugr laying across the entrance way. One might expect it was just a corpse laid there to add to the creepy atmosphere of the cemetery. This Draugr tripped up many people in Gabriel's memories, literally.
As the moment you step over it, a hand will shoot out and grab your leg.
Gabriel was about to make a move towards the Draugr when he noticed a human girl approaching the entrance. She was wearing in a light brown skirt and peasant blouse. With a petite figure and a height of only a little over 5 foot, it appeared to Gabriel's eyes that she was only in her teens. However, because D.O. was an R18 game, she must be an adult to play at all.
The little lady had a slightly tanned complexion, with light strawberry blonde hair tied in a pony tail. Full plump lips and bright blue doe eyes that gazed everywhere in curiosity. As she gazed at the entrance of the Cemetery, she seemed to be muttering to herself as she pulled out a short wand from her inventory. Gabriel realized she must have already got to LVL 5 and chosen one of the mage or priest classes to have a wand; which was surprising to Gabriel as the game had only been online for about, 2 hours Game Time (GT) so far. 'She must have had a lucky encounter or be very skilled'. Gabriel thought and guessed from her lack of situational awareness that it was a lucky encounter.
Gabriel was about to yell out to her when she stepped towards the Draugr but it was to late. The woman went to step over the body and an arm stretched out and grabbed her leg tripping her up. Making her flip upside down, which in turn made her skirt slip down and giving Gabriel a full view of her pert bottom.
Gabriel froze for a moment, taking a mental photo of the site before he dashed forward to help.
Before he got there though, the little woman got up off the floor before turning to look at the Draugr shambling towards her. The once cute and charming face suddenly took a turn into something ferocious before she screamed "Ahhhhhh!!" She pounced at the Draugr, completely forgetting about her wand on the ground. The little lady then proceeded to throttle the Draugr while she lifted one hand to bitch slap him silly and proceeded to yell in the poor fella's face. Although she seemed new to the game, she appeared to have the smooth movements of someone use to combat.
A lot of players found it hard at the start of D.O., to get use to the realistic combat system. The basic novice quests taught players in a step by step process, on how to fight and move in game. It was only after a couple of months, that a new wave of people taking on martial art courses IRL to increase their proficiency in game. Most hardcore and famous players from previous VR games, already had a semblance of combat practice IRL and in game.
"How dare you trip an adorable little lady like me! How dare you touch me without my permission! I will teach you some manners today if it's the last thing I do! Stupid zombie pervert!" The lady mage hollered.
Gabriel stopped a few feet from the scuffle and managed to eke out "What a scary lady"

Virtuous Cultivation
-July 10, 2022- Stocked Chapters: 8 I'm out of hiatus, but honestly, I can't trust myself to post consistently anymore... A new arc is about to begin, and I'll start posting again once the entirety is done. It might take a year, but honestly, this story is going to go on for the foreseen future anyway... so I suppose that's just a blip in the grand scheme of things? I'll leave updates here every once in a while, if for some reason you're still actively checking on this incredibly slow story T-T The path of cultivation is often portrayed as one stained by bloodshed. But is that truly necessary? Heaven is merciful, after all. On a rather ordinary day, a peasant girl was whisked away by a strange old man. In a hall of great white jade, she was offered the chance to cultivate. ...too bad she's as lazy as a sloth. Slice of life Xianxia with fairly little action in early chapters, more focused on comedy. The One Moon
Moonhan is a regular 16 year old that has gone through a lot. One day, he takes a walk and witnesses 6 boys dancing and singing. Moonhan steps into the idol world after being scouted. However, Moonhan's life doesn't just revolve around being an idol. He goes through many different situations that helped him mature and working towards being an idol is just one of them. This is the story of Moonhan and his story to being a top idol. The story is inspired by the Kpop world and is totally fictional. There may be some song titles and group name's that are used by Kpop and are not made by me. For example, Icon's song "Why Why Why" is inspired by the Kpop group Ikon's song "Why Why Why" in my story. Other group names and song titles used in my story are all original. When not, I will mention in authors notes.
