Comm. Angus Brimstone Brimstone brigade.
Report on subjugation request of unknown fire type monster'
6E. 24/7/179
Two weeks of slogging through these bloody cursed lands. And what do I get for my trouble?
Not a blasted damn thing!
We found the forest fire, and the feral gnomes all toasty in their homes. Most of the rookies spent the next while vomiting up their guts. But from there? We flounder through a river towards an old patrol campsite in the general direction we figured the fire starter had headed. When we got there one of the pit trap defenses had been blown to pieces! Absolutely cratered. Took half the camp with it.
Dunno what caused that but it must've been one heck of a blast. Us Brimstone clan members know our explosions, and one that could cause a crater like that is unusual. Something was in the pit. That something managed to put out ridiculous amounts of kinetic force extremely quickly. Thats an explosion. No sign of chemical residue. Just scorched earth beneath a new pond.
I can't wait to meet and beat whatever caused it.
As if having to clear and set up defenses away from the new pond werent enough there was a whole worker group of butcher bugs rampaging about the area. After we put them down it was pretty obvious what had driven them mad enough to attack an entire brigade of 200.
Some sadistic freak had burned off the poor monsters antennae. Butcher bugs are pretty much blind. Every single sensory organ they have is inside those antennae. Imagine if someone burned your eyes, ears, tongue, and all your skin off all at once. The only thing these guys could feel was pain with a very blurry sight from their near vestigial eyes.
Just terrible.
We will spend the next few days looking for the creature that crippled the bugs and blew up the pit. I don't know if they're the same creature but I hope not. Something both strong enough to wreck the old campsite and mean enough to purposefully cripple a work group of butcher bugs without killing them is terrible to imagine. All the more reason to find and destroy it I suppose.

Got a messsage from command today. Some crazy fird bird feral they had never seen before crashed into the barrier not to far from our location. They want me to capture it or secure the carcass for study.
Damned of I know why they want it though. Anything stupid enough to hit the barriers is hardly worth note as far as I am concerned.
It'll take us a few days to reach the estimated crash site. We have to swing wide around the territory of a Gilgamesh turtle. Old beast has been hunting those waters since before the heroes tomb was built.

We were setting up camp near the deserts edge. Roughly a days march from the target crash site. When suddenly the desert began to glow.
I can scarcely believe it myself. I had left most of my troops to continue canvasing the forest in search of the original mission target. So I only had two squads with me. 20 dwarves tried and true. And not a one of us had ever seen anything like this.
As time passed and night fell the glow became clearer and brighter. Unable to resist I sent a dispatch to command and set out into the desert to slay my curiosity.
It started to get hot after about an hour. By now the horizon was bright as day. The dunes caught the unusual angle of light and threw it into twisted mountains and monsters across the sand.
Pretty quick after that all manner of critters came. Giant locusts and lizardfolk came streaming over the blazing sands.
We set up a circle of shields and blades and were weathering the storm fine until a sandwyrm breached right in the middle of our formation.
Three dwarves were eaten but we killed it and recovered them alive from its gullet.
I ordered a retreat. No point in dying for a whim.
As we fell back, I saw a fire ball. Not like a sphere of fire but like a formal dance made of fire.
I sent a report to command and was ordered to return for a mental health exam.

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

Medieval Terror
[Trickle! Trickle!] Blood… Pure unfiltered blood. Thick wetness of inhumane variety was drowning the contours of my defiled countenance with crimson slick. My warrior’s mien was brutally decorated with the vile viscera and entrails of the dead. Scattered all around me was a large pile of corpses floating in the bloodthirsty puddle of the afterlife. Accompanying my rest within this detestable domain was a rapacious array of lord Beelzebub’s kin. A swarm of black motile embodiment capable of aerial drifts made my bloody appearance barely visible. [Buzz! Buzz!] I was dead yet living, I could travel between the broken realms of existence and meddle with the vengeful souls. Such was possible by virtue of my life that had succumbed to the Lure of Enigma. The bizarre events that unfolded which brought me to this destitute phase of utter dysphoria was a mixture of tales that will leave a distasteful flavour of doleful buds on your tongue. If you wish to know more about my apocalyptic journey then feel free to turn the pages of my undying path. However, I must warn you, inquisitive readers. My legendary tale might cause your weak constitution to become cripple, hence read at your own peril. DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure
Follow DarkBoi69's edgy adventure as I move him through a shitty plot where he meets terribly-written characters like angry evil stupid villains and naive cute useless busty women. This story is not really an actual serious story but simply a writing exercise for me to focus on overall writing speed, forcefully insert some writing in my everyday life to increase productivity and most importantly help with turning ideas, thoughts or feelings into writing directly without feeling blocked, hopefully trying to achieve something as close as possible to writing unconsciously what i’m thinking about. I'll probably try to do something like writing as much in 30 mins as I can, nearly every-day. So far I've only done this once and it already seems like a pretty good thing to do. I don’t have anything planned and that’s probably going to be a constant for every one of these exercises, so it’ll end up being not very good (although maybe better than it has any right to be? ) and nonsensical.
