《Heaven's Grip : Orcs of Iaoue》Cleansing 2 : The River

slurp* slurp*
I dip my head into the long water flowing trough.
'This water tastes better than the old mans' I said to myself as I wag my tail happily.
I saw the Chief trying to stand in 2 legs right beside this long water flowing trough. This thing seems to be called a river, courtesy of the skill I obtained called.
INSPECT - I (RARE)
MP: 5
Displays information about the target.
AF: Show little to no amount of info.
"INSPECT", I used the said skill towards the Chief.
NAME: ?????? TITLE: CHIEF
RACE: HOG SKILLS: ??????
HP: ??????
MP: ??????
STR: ?????
INT: ?????
AGI: ?????
??????????
??????????
??????????
The skill sure is consistent with its description, there was literally little to no info to this. Well, at least I know that the Chief and I are called as Hogs.
There is this thing called name. I got a feeling that we need this but can't really explain as to why. I continued observing my surroundings and occasionally use my one and only active skill - inspect to almost everything I could see.
As I use my skill, I fill my pig brain information of all sorts, things that may be useful later on so I continued doing it until the thing called MP ran out.... I collapsed.
plunk* buff phht*
I turn my head towards the sound.
I can see one of my brethren fall sideways like an unrooted starbbage.
I walk towards him, I can see some of us are also interested from the sudden collapse of the most active member of our 'horde'.
This hog was one of the most eye-catching since the dude always moves like a wind. He does odd things, he stares at you then nods heavily afterward. He says weird words like this and that. But we are actually saved by him most of the time.

A certain brother was about to eat a dazzling flower only to be bumped by him out of nowhere. Instead of apologizing, the dude was mad and said that if you want to die don't let us see you and just 'Die in a corner!', that seems to be the correct phrase for it. He followed it up saying the flower is POY-SON and eating it is tantamount to dying.
It is hard to believe that by eating the flower will let you die, I refuse to believe that my stomach will be defeated by that mushy plant in front of me. So I asked him.
"PROVE".
The hog plucked a nearby starbbage that miraculously appeared when the situation needed it.
He placed it on top of the erect dazzling flower. Soon there was a reaction. The pale-green starbbage withered and turned into ash. It seems like anything that touches that flower will have the same fate.
thump* thump* thump*
Our pig hearts beat loudly as the imagination of our fat withering appeared in our fat heads. The hog who was at the death's door fell to its four knees.
"THANKS".
The hog merely nodded and continued to look around the vicinity doing his usual thing staring blankly towards something. That was like 7 hours ago, and I was acting like it happen a long time.
As I walked near the collapsed hog, my brethren circled him as if the collapsed hog was an entertainment. "SNORT", I tugged the collapsed hog out of the encirclement.
His eyes were closed and his breathing is heavy. ALL GOOD. That was the conclusion made by me, as the crowd dispersed.
I woke up, the surrounding is dark.
I can feel something rubbing my belly.
"INSPECT"
SKILL FAILED.
SKILL INSPECT LEVEL INCREASED
INSPECT (RARE) - II

MP: 6

+ Failure rate reduced.
As usual, I used this skill normally everytime something NOT normal happens. I happen to do it by reflex since I have been using the skill for 2 days non-stop. I will never do that again though, falling unconscious is not really funny nor does it feel good. But for now my MP seems to be plenty I think, so I can still use it once or twice. So I did it again while ignoring the level up message.
"INSPECT"
FAUNA :
ROOTWORMS (COMMON) - root-like worms that live under the tree hiding from the early birds. NOCTURNAL
+30 sate (FOOD)
AF: Good source of PROTEIN (helps repair broken tissues).
The hog simply smiled, moved backward and bore its boar snout towards the location of the worm and chomp at it.
Happy, It told its brethren a new source of food.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

In Z Finite
This is the story of Zarco, a young guy with a magic stone and not much else, and Caelum, a wingless "angel". "Caelum-That's stupid... Zarco-Eh, it is..." Ahem, anyway, a lot of action & adventure awaits them, as they are forced together on a journey in search of some magic stones of legendary power. "Zarco-Liar! We're currently doing a lot more of "trying to survive" than rock picking around here! Caelum-Yeah, that is pretty misleading." Ok, screw this, I am out, if nobody read this story it will be your fault. "Zarco-The hell are you talking about, you're the one who wrote this... Caelum-Since our writer is unreliable, I will finish this. This story at its core is just a fun rump, focused on action, adventure, and a lot of comedic dialogue and exchanges. If you had at least a chuckle reading this then you will probably enjoy the story. Zarco-Yo, thanks for reading till this point, we will meet again at the pages."

In Pursuit of Bark's Finest
On the frontiers of transhumanity’s expansion into the galaxy thousands of light years from the light of Sol, things can get rather chaotic. There are countless millions of nascent interstellar nations securing their interests, pirate ships prospering off plunder and deniable mercenary work, dissidents setting up their own civilizations, and other groups all trying to push an agenda. When these groups crash into each other, the results can become extremely messy and convoluted. Recently, a frontier nation calling itself the Red Star Union has found itself at the focal point of one such complication. A freighter under their protection has been sabotaged, hijacked in interstellar space, and robbed of its cargo. This would be bad enough even if all it were carrying was luxury goods, but the freighter Nebula Plow was carrying more than just normal trade goods. Indeed, her cargo of Non-Orientable Wormholes for use in starship power plants was both very expensive and very, very dangerous. Now the Red Star Union has to worry about a pirate crew running around with several extra devices capable of converting matter into antimatter with negligible energy cost. With those, the pirates could be capable of inflicting untold damage if allowed to leverage their ill-gotten gains into a stronger position, a possibility the Union finds completely intolerable. Unfortunately, all that the Red Star Union has to go on for evidence is two names; that of the captain, and that of the ship. The Captain is going by the possible pseudonym of Fuller, while the ship is named Bark’s Finest. And thus the orders came down to the Union’s Bureau of Starforce Intelligence: find more information on these pirates, conclusively identify them, and figure out where exactly they’ve gone to ground so that the fleet can crush them before they get established. Of the many agents that the bureau assigned to this mission, one would happen to play an important role: Field Agent Madeline Zargosty. This is her story. This story is entirely pre-written, and will have one chapter released per week. If you want to read it all ahead of schedule and get access to some premium-exclusive bonus content, the entire book is available for purchase; links to the appropriate storefront pages will be posted at the end of each chapter. This story is also being posted to Scribblehub.
