PRIESTESS TALER POV>
When the sun was about to rise, we marched towards the enemy's camp. The goblins drank morning dews from the leaves as they increase their march. The goblins who are informed about the Chief's situation last night managed to hold back from marching after they finished their preparations.
Moving at night would be hard for us since our enemies are creatures of the night and fighting in their pace would be disadvantageous and might cause more casualties.
We can only pray that the Chief is still breathing when we get there. Though the possibility of the Chief being captured is high, I don't believe that those creatures are capable of making negotiations so the Chief might still be inside the pit alive or the worst case scenario would be dead. If by chance they did something about the pit that might cause the death of the Chief and the others then we can only blame fate for toying with us. A goblin who managed to escape yesterday's defeat can be seen running towards me. "Priestess, we have reached their territory" I ordered the group to be cautious as we moved at a steady pace. A heavy stench of urine can be smelled floating in the air. 'what a primitive and simplistic way of marking a territory.' As expected of those 2nd generations enlightened. It really made me wonder how they thought of those tactics to defeat the Chief. 'Even if the Chief is stupid, It would still be difficult to deal with him' I kept those thoughts aside as we are now close to the location where the battle occurred. "Scout the perimeter" The goblins obeyed my command as they scattered in different directions circling the area of the enemy's camp. They returned with dejected faces. "Priestess, they have left" A goblin spoke with a voice filled with anguish. It seems like they really wanted to get revenge for the Chief and our fallen brothers. We moved into their camp. It was quite different from what I expected on how a 2nd generation's camp would be like. A water defense and a wood defense. They have basic defense structure, just like those humans and their little hamlets. 'This is weird, how are they related to those dirty humans?' I thought as I continued to survey the area. There are no dead bodies laying on the ground. The traces of battle are still fresh. It was clear from the damages caused in their wood defense. The water defense's water also has the color of blood mixed. I moved into the place where the Chief was last spotted. It was a path made of rocks that are stacked into one another. 'Where do they get this kind of wisdom?' It's really amazing how those creatures made all of these stuff within a short amount of time. In front of me, a goblin can be seen calling for my attention. 'So this is the trap that they made' Right in front of the entrance, A large pile of rocks can be seen. "Gather everyone and get these rocks out of the hole." The goblins moved swiftly as they drag one rock after the other. As they pulled more rocks out, they could also recover dead bodies of our allies. They separate the dead bodies and the rocks as they continued to haul the pit. 'Strange, aside from the bodies inside the pit, there are no other dead bodies. Even traces of it being eaten cannot be found'. Moments later several gasps can be heard. "THE CHIEF. THE CHIEF" 'Oh. it seems they found that idiot' I moved closer and peeked inside the pit. The broad backs of the soldier goblins can be seen and were forming a circular formation. They huddled themselves together just like a petal revolving around the base of a flower. 'This bastard might be stupid but his luck's not bad' The surrounding goblins merrily pushed the soldier bodies aside and aimed for the Chief. The Chief was knocked unconscious and was currently being carried by the goblins within the pit. The goblins above thrown a makeshift rope made from vines into the hole and wrapped it around the Chief's body. After doing so, the goblins who were rejoicing recovered from their glee and turned towards the soldier goblins who they pushed aside unintentionally. With their strong bodies, it seemed that no one died and was just powerless to move those rocks. Luckily there were spaces in the rocks that made the air enter inside, allowing these fools to breathe and not suffocate. When the Chief was pulled out of the pit, the goblins slowly lay him on the ground. I went closer to the Chief and inspected his body condition. 'only bruises, scratches and a pale skin nothing fatal huh' I softly slapped the Chief's face a couple of times to wake him up. His eyes slowly opened as he grasped for air, the dude stood and angrily shouted. "CHAAARGE!" 'dunce' I thought as I slapped my forehead. "Shut up and look around genius" The Chief looked around when he heard my words. From rage to anger and from anger to puzzlement. "WHERE ARE THEY?" A kind goblin manages to explain the situation. The Chief then bowed his head in shame, not only was he defeated, he lost almost half of his branch. He looked at me trying to say something but he didn't open his mouth and sat on the ground instead. "We need to go back Chief." The Chief raised his head, then shook it. 'this idiot' "You want to chase them?" The Chief nodded his head. 'Why am I the one who's assigned to baby sit this bastard' "What would you get by doing something like that Chief?" The Chief stilled and was deep in thought. "Forget it, as long as those creatures live in this forest we can still find them. But for now, the best way of action is to go back and heal those who survived, you really need to reflect from this Chief. Luckily, aside from our enemy, only us knew about this fiasco, so retrieving your honor can be done later." The Chief with a reluctant face nodded at my proposition. 'Oh well, this guy needs to mature fast. If those 2nd generations can do something like this within months, then our safety...' END PRIESTESS TALER POV> FIG POV> Chief Pair tried to reopen his opinion of having humanoid limbs, saying that if we got those we can work efficiently and we can create more things. Our fighting potential would increase since we can free three of our limbs instead of the means of using 4 limbs to rush on an enemy or as balance when we use our tails. This I agree. But Jule and some of the hogs opposed to the idea, saying that by doing so, not only would we expose our weak spot, which is our stomachs. We would also need time to adjust from being 4-pedal into being 2-pedal which required an amount of time and we currently don't have such thing for the moment since we are running away from those goblins. I tried to open my mouth and offer some help to the Chief when something... END FIG POV>

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.

When portals opened across the world and space, people were a bit terrified. Naturally, some people called it the end times or some other negative interpretation. Thankfully, the new arrivals managed to calm the masses, saying they were here from across dimensions in search of peaceful refuge. And so, began a technological revolution as the new cohabitants, who looked distinctly human if a bit off, openly shared some of their knowledge with us. Space travel, while not cakewalks, become more easily accessible, as did interplanetary colonization. Naturally, with the New Humans keeping some of the more dangerous techs to themselves and Old Humans being a greedy bunch, tensions are arising as old and new grudges rear their ugly heads. The world endlessly spins as history, both good and bad, is seemingly on its way to repeating itself. Only with other planets, and potentially other universes, being the backdrop this time. But that was big stuff that Alex had no real interest in. They only care about one thing and one thing. TDAG. Trans-Dimensional Adventure Games. Best VR system ever made. Alex, instead of focusing on political and multiverse shenanigans, had their eyes set on VR games. Specifically, one of the new and up and coming potential best games of all times. Death Galaxy
