《Cliche?》Chapter 7: God of Sacrifice

Veloth had made a whole through wall of the room he was trapped in and launched himself through it so quickly he was virtually flying. His spell had created a hole through not only the room, but the whole structure. Veloth had a straight path to freedom.
It had been fifteen days since then. Veloth had traveled far from the obsidian castle which he wanted to destroy on the spot for having such a cliché ‘evil’ look. He chose not to because he was not prepared to fight who knows how many demons and the stubborn human woman.
Veloth attempted to find some form of civilization or even a road for seven days, not that he knew how he could interact with the humans given Tara’s reaction, but he was deep inside a forest who-knows-where. Veloth eventually chose to make his way back to the castle, but he was thoroughly lost at this point and could not find it after searching for eight days.
It was now raining. Veloth was effectively aggravated. The only shining point on his journey so far was that Veloth had learned that roasted dire wolf tasted like venison… Odd, that.
Whilst lamenting his impulsive dash from the castle and his current predicament, something smacked across is eyes and his vision was obstructed.
[What is this? Paper? Does that mean civilization is nearby after all?] Curious, and his hopes rising, Veloth looked at the paper.
Hello manna spirit known as Veloth.
I am the God of Sacrifice, Zahramiik, and I am sending this message to te-
Veloth incinerated the letter.
[NO, DEFINITELY NO. I am not going to get jumbled up in some cliché god bullshit]
Another paper slaps across Veloth’s eyes.
Now that is not very prudent of-
Veloth tore it apart with his claws and thoroughly stomped on it.

Another paper.
[The hell are these coming from!?]
I’m not stopping until I have conveyed my message so you may as well just read it. Seriously, and you called that woman stubborn.
Ahem, as I was saying, I am the God of Sacrifice, Zahramiik. I WAS going to tell you about some very important matters, but now I will just tell you this: You, against your will, have been brought into a rather convoluted war between your species, manna spirits, and the gods.
I WAS going to be nice, help you out, and give you important information. I have, obviously, since changed my mind, so instead, because I know how much you LOVE the cliché, I am going to throw so many clichés at you that you will beg for-
Veloth willed an explosion and a 100 foot diameter of forest disappeared along with the letter.
[This is a sick joke right?] Veloth fumed. The only good piece of information Veloth got out of this encounter was that his species is called manna spirit? Then again, it could be another delusional joke. Veloth smirked. If this god really could do something like throwing clichés at him, then he would have done so much… earlier… Unless those earlier clichés in fact were…?
Another explosion in a larger radius. There was now a five foot deep crater and another ring of trees missing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tara jumped at hearing an explosion. She was extremely edgy right now, after being forced to retreat from Pandemonium. She ran into Zavus Greed of the Seven Sins almost immediately after Veloth bolted. Both Tara and Zavus stared at each other in a surprised and confused state for a good minute before combat had started.
If Tara hadn’t used up so much light mana in her fight against Veloth, she would have been an even match for Zavus. She needed to get stronger. Her goal was to kill the demon king, and that meant fighting the Seven Sins, but she couldn’t even fight one, much less seven and then the demon king himself.

Tara jumped at another explosion.
[What on Cres is going on?]
Tara was headed toward the nearest human fort, but curiosity gripped her, and she moved towards the source of the explosions. Moments later she found a crater, and in the midst of it lay Veloth. He was doused in mud due to the rain and the newly turned soil. A small pool of mud had formed at the center of the crater, and Veloth, brows furrowed, blew bubbles and glared at them.
[What, did the mud have an opinion?] She almost laughed at the state of the beast that had nearly killed her because of this ‘chuunibyou’ term, whatever it meant.
[Seeing him so down in the dumps, and the fact that he didn’t want to be in Pandemonium, might mean I can bring him to my side. He could be very useful with all that oppressive mana.]
Tara bravely sets her sights on her new goal and walks forth.

A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...
