《This Kitty has guns》Chapter 4: Stroll trough the city

A gentle breeze caressed my face as I took a deep breath of fresh air. After spending a few days inside the building, it was a pleasant change. In my old world, I spent most of my time in one city or another, and fresh air had nothing to do with the air outside. But my mood has changed when with another gust of wind, I had to catch the edges of my tunic.
The wind is an enemy of all women... especially when one is without any underwears. My tunic ended only slightly above my knees and while I was fine without underwear when indoors, now I had a hard time to keep my modesty with every gust of wind.
"Let's go, Kitty." said my new master and started to walk. I quickly followed him as I still had no idea what to do next.
With my initial plan ruined, I had a hard time to think of my next move. My inability to kill him messed up with everything. To learn about slave collars, I can't be seen as a slave and that would be hard to do so if my Master can track me anytime. I guess, for now, I will stay as his slave and try to learn all I can. Will have to use every opportunity when he sends me alone for some errand.
But that will work only at the start, later people will recognize me as a slave even with the collar masked. There is still a tiny hope of learning that Space-Time Magic I saw him using before... but from the reaction of slave merchants, it seems this magic is quite rare.
As we left the building dealing with slaves, we entered a busy part of Endorod City. The merchants at the stalls were shouting advertisements for their sold goods. Some kids were running here and there, and I could hear sounds of hammer beats from a smithy on another side of the street. As we walked further, I saw the city guards entangled with some drunkards.
There were people of different races everywhere.
I already knew of most Beastkin races, so far I saw them only with cat, wolf and fox features. My gaze was suddenly drawn to a plant-like race - dryad. At first, I thought it was only a woman with green skin, but I then noticed plant-like parts here and there.
Next to draw my attention were Minotaurs. Two meter tall giants, with horns and muscular bodies, were hard to miss. Unlike Pixies... from afar those could be easily confused for a fly. Orcs were also a race I haven't seen before. Dark brown skin and oversized teeth - ugly just like in the movies and games. There were also elves, dwarfs, and humans, but those were nothing new to me now.

From armors and clothes everyone was wearing, to a style of buildings around us - everything was screamed of middle ages from history. If we ignore magic and different races that is. I guess the chances to hack into a net for information were now shattered as well. I know that everything indicated this, but there was still a slight hope that civilization was advanced just like ours.
As I followed the elf, I started to consider what skills I should create or awaken next. I learned that skills are learned only if executed in one way or another. I don't have my body manipulation just because I know how to use it. The system needs a live performance so to speak.
As we walked into the less populated streets, with a sweep of my tail I launched a pebble from the ground into a small dent of a building.
Skill "Accuracy" learned. Accuracy reached level 2. Accuracy reached level 3. Accuracy - Ability to hit your intended target with a ranged weapon.
.
Level 3?... Level 3?!?! Seems that the system is looking down on me. How could it! I might be not good at everything, but the accuracy is a thing I am proud of.
I launched another pebble with a sweep of my tail and it bounced from the wall of building at speed of an arrow. Yet it was hit in the air with another pebble I sent its way a moment later. It flew to the side from the impact and just in a moment was hit once again with a third pebble and was launched now to the ground. Before it could reach the ground though it was hit once more with a fourth pebble and was launched back into the air.
Sadly I couldn't continue, as there were no more pebbles within reach of my tail. But it seems I proved my point, as I got messages from the system I awaited, and even one I didn't expect.
Accuracy reached level 8. Accuracy reached level 9. Accuracy reached maximum level. Skill "Accuracy" has evolved into "Godly Accuracy".
Level Up.
You have reached level 4.
I had to stop walking to avoid bumping into my Master. It seems that my little performance has caught his attention. He was standing there with his mouth wide open while looking at me, then at pebbles on the ground and then back to me.
I proudly crossed my arms and slightly lifted my chin, but had to quickly abandon my haughty pose, as a new gust of wind lifted my tunic yet again. This time I failed to cover in time and for a split second, everything was wide open for the elf to see. My face became red as a tomato, and I just stood there while looking at the elf not knowing what to do or say.

"Nice." said the elf and after turning around continued walking forward.
I wasn't sure what it was meant for - my display of accuracy... or that he liked what he saw when my tunic was lifted. With my emotions in turmoil, I followed him quietly, no longer in the mood to experiment any further. Before this mishap, I have planned to see if I can perceive mana inside my body.
As we walked, the streets and buildings around us became lower in quality. Stone buildings were replaced with wooden ones. And there were fewer people walking in streets around these parts. Let's just hope this Master of mine has no dealings with some local gang or bandits. I might end up with a lot of blood on my hands and it will not help my situation even slightly.
But my worries were proven unnecessary when we arrived at the Inn. Its name was "Tired Wolf" and this Inn indeed looked tired.
"Hi, Rev. Finally got yourself a girlfriend?" greeted us Innkeeper at our entry.
With the Inn name as "Tired Wolf", I was expecting to see a wolf beastkin as the innkeeper. But surprisingly it was an old minotaur. One horn was broken and all hair on his head was gray. A gray beard was reaching his chest and the upper body was naked, exposing all his muscles. There were few customers drinking at the bar and at least some of them were of wolf beastkin race.
"How many times I have to tell you Kilmor, it's Reveon, not Rev. And no, she isn't my girlfriend. I finally managed to save enough for a slave and from this day forth she will help me with the battle." rebutted a bit annoyed elf.
"Tsk tsk tsk... I still think you could find a willing girl Rev. You have decent looks. A slave should be the last resort. Well at least from now on you will have someone to warm your bed ha ha." started laughing the minotaur and men at the bar joined him as well.
"It's Reveon dammit! And not everyone thinks only with a lower part of their body Kilmor. Let's go, Kitty, have to check your body before we proceed with armor and other necessities." said the elf and started walking upstairs.
"Ha ha ha! Yes, check her thoroughly Rev! Just make sure to be gentle. Ha ha ha." as I followed the elf, laughter of the innkeeper has reached us.
"That's not what I meant you Old Fart!" shouted the elf angrily and after entering his room gestured for me to follow.
"Ok first have to check your body, take off your tunic," he said once we were inside, and closed the doors.
"What?!" I shouted surprised and took a step back.
Liar! What about "that's not what I meant" I thought in my mind.
"N..No !" I answered.
I am not ready. I still don't know what to make of those feelings, and if they are true. If they do not change even after a week then...
"Forget the last request!" quickly shouted the elf.
"Oi! Don't misunderstand me, Kitty! I need it to heal you. That slave merchant was sure you are seriously ill, but if it doesn't show on analyze, it can be only a curse. I can remove it with my magic, but I need to touch the skin near the source. A curse always finds its way to a heart and slowly spreads from there to the rest of the body. Please bear with shame, I can promise that healing will be all that I will do." explained the elf.
From his smell, heartbeat, eyes and other muscle movements, I could tell he wasn't lying.
Skill "Lie Detection" learned. Lie Detection - the ability to determine if words spoken to you are truth or lies.
And with the newly acquired skill, I confirmed it again. So he really wanted only to heal me? Hmm, now that I think about it, the first thing he did was to cancel his 'command' when I objected. If the collar was working on me as it should, I would suffer pain from disobeying my Master. But he didn't want that. He really is a good Master. Just as expected of me, I can't lose my head over a man, with bad intentions. Yes, I still don't have even the slightest intention to remain a slave, but maybe we can figure something out if we talk it over.
"You don't need to worry about me," I said with a smile, "I am actually healthy,"
It was time to spill some secrets and look where that will lead us.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
