《Dex's Adventure Through The Elemental Nations (Completed)》Chapter 33

Third Person's POV;
The still rather large group of Genin and Anko reached their destination in under ten minutes. Some of the Genin were panting from the fast paste they had to keep but most didn't show any signs of being exhausted.
“Okay idiots, this is the Forest of Death”, began Anko and a loud roar emphasized her statement.
“It will be the place were we hold the second part of the Chunin exam. Each of you will sign a piece of paper that basically states that Konoha can't be held responsible in case you die during this exam.
After that you'll get a scroll. There are two kinds of scrolls and you have to find the second kind, before you can go to the middle of the forest, where we will then hold the next part of the exam.
The time limit is 5 days”, she continued and more than one of the Konoha Genin looked pale. They knew of the forest and its reputation of being deadly.
“What about food?”, asked Choji, the always hungry.
“Hunt it or starve I don't care”, she answered with a grin.
Choji grumbled but didn't argue with her any further. Everyone grabbed one of the scrolls and signed the contract. After that they were led to one of the many gates that will bring them inside the forest.
The gate of Dexter's group wasn't known to them and as such they will have to reorient themselves once the exam starts.
“So what's the plan?”, asked TenTen a minute before the exam will start.
“I think we should first go to the tower and ambush another group. They must be tired from the fighting and won't be a real hindrance. But this is something that others will want to do as well, so we have to be careful”, suggested Dexter and the other two nodded. It was an established fact that Dexter was their strategist.
A long minute later the alarms were rung and signaled the start of their five days survival test. Every Genin team sprinted inside and tried to get towards the tower as fast as they could.
Well, almost every. There were those that tried to find someone in between the tower and the start, those who wanted to be save and sneaked and then there was Orochimaru who killed his two teammates and then went on his way to his targets.
Dexter and his team was categorised in the first group and raced as fast as they could towards the tower. This meant that they had taken their weights off and Lee was even carrying TenTen, something that annoyed her to no end. She would rather be carried by Dexter, but he had to stay as manoeuvrability as possible and Lee was faster than Dexter without the gates.
The rule to never take off your weights was quickly demolished by Dexter. His argument was that they should take them off while being on a mission, it would be a handicap and as such a danger to not do so. Guy saw the logic and allowed them to take them off during mission time. This exam was something like a mission.
But before they could go to the tower they had to know where they were. The forest isn't a circle and simply running in a straight line wouldn't do them good.
They needed thirty minutes to find a clearing that they knew and from then on took off to their goal.
And lady luck was even looking down on them, a team from Kumo jumped in their way.

“Surrender and hand over your scroll or die!”, demanded one of them. However, this Konoha team wasn't your average Genin team. TenTen was the first to react and jumped off of Lee's back and was now mid-air, the perfect position for her weapon based attacks.
A quick flick of her wrist was enough to open her sealing scroll and the weapons that were sealed inside shot out. Over ten dozen Kunai shot out and impaled one of the three Kumo Ninja. The second one was bulldozed by Lee with his copy of Guy's 'DYNAMIC ENTRY'. The flying jump kick that hit the poor Genin and rocketed him back through three trees.
The last Genin was faster than his two teammates and had enough mental strength to know that he shouldn't be here, so he high tailed as fast as he could, but was ultimately stopped by Dexter who cut his head off with an elongated Chakra scalpel.
“Too bad, they have the same scroll as we”, said Dexter after rummaging through the pockets of his victim and then took a blood clone out of a scroll. The clone went back to his group, while he went on his way to his targets.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the clone;
“He had the same scroll as we”, said the Dexter clone. He intensionally let the third Ninja flee, so that he could leave his group unnoticed. The other two were already preparing for departure. Lee took the supplies from the downed bodies and TenTen took the undamaged and not bloody Kunai back with Chakra threads. After that they continued as if nothing happened.
Their fast paced track to the tower only took them an hour, but they couldn't find any other team on their way. This meant that it was TenTen's job to lard the surroundings of the tower with as much traps as possible.
Fortunately they only had to wait for another day until someone run into a nasty trap that sliced its victims apart with fine steel wire. After searching the corpses they found the missing scroll they needed. They could have gone directly inside to finish this test, but they choose to make one more trap, this one had the scroll they didn't need as a bait and involved 30 explosion tacks that are explosive enough to get rid of a large area of forest.
Now ready to finish their test they walked inside and opened both scrolls, out came smoke and with it Guy. Who loudly proclaimed how youthful they were with finishing the task this fast.
The remaining four days were taken for relaxing and some mild training. Mild training that would kill a normal civilian and heavily exhaust other Genin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Dexter's POV;
°Who's our first target?°, asked Kura-chan. I was now a good mile away from my team and could start with my plan to recruit Karin and the sound three.
°Karin, she should either still be with her teammates or already running away from the bear°, I answered and searched for the Chakra that an Uzumaki has. Clans have similar Chakra signatures, the whole family and genetic similarity made it only logical.
The four Uzo Genin are currently fighting three other signatures, but none of them felt weak or in any danger, which means that they aren't in danger.
The last Uzumaki signature was different, it was frantic, weak and moving fairly fast. It was also alone. Well, alone if others were humans. She was followed by a Chakra signature that was large enough to be an elephant or a giant bear.
°Found her, she's in danger. I'll use the cloak°, I said and blitzed off in a yellow-reddish flash.

Karin's POV;
Today was a shitty day and is most likely my last. If it wasn't enough to be the moving healing potion for my 'teammates' then it surely it is now with the fucking raging and giant bear behind me.
Only the fact that I am hiding in the mud and under a dead tree is saving my life.
And the joy I had by seeing my teammates death was also quickly overshadowed by the fact that I will be held responsible for it. Which in return means more 'sessions'.
It was also not helping that I was constantly distracted by the many Chakra signatures in this forest. Most of them fearful, some dangerous and bloodthirsty. There are even three gigantic signatures that almost overshadows everything else. One of them larger than the other. One is a young Genin from Suna, another a woman from Kusagakure and the largest was from a Genin of Konoha.
The first felt bloodthirsty, the second dark and dangerous and the third held hunger for knowledge and new things. Chakra signatures can show you how a person is, what drives him.
It wasn't comforting that two of the three signatures, inwho were all larger than that of the Hokage, were driven by bad things.
The Suna Genin was already in the tower and the Kusa woman fought against three Konoha Genin. One of them was this Sasuke, really hot guy.
Also strange was that there were now three signatures that all resembled the third large power. One of these fought against the Kura woman, but was way smaller than that of it two counterparts. The third signature even suddenly plopped up.
And... shit...the giant powerhouse that was the third signature increased its Chakra output significantly and is now rushing in my direction.
Maybe, just maybe, he won't notice me?
*BANG!* SHIT! He's here and he took the bear out as if it was nothing. Something orange and red crashed into the bear and it exploded in a bloody mass.
“Karin, I know that you are under that tree”, said the frighteningly powerful mass of Chakra behind my hiding spot.
I knew that I hiding wouldn't help me, he even knows my name. So I crawled out of my spot and saw him. He wasn't looking like the cool and slightly hot Genin he was before. He was now clad in a red and orange flame that engulfed his whole body and even created something that looked like clothes. His eyes weren't normal either. They were purple and had rings with tomoe in them.
Large amounts of Chakra were flowing into them and it was clear that this was a Dojutsu.
“Hi,” I said timidly, maybe he won't attack me when I look as none dangerously as possible.
“You are Karin Uzumaki aren't you?”, he asked and I knew lying wouldn't do me good. Even if the other Ninja from Kusa told me to never tell someone my surname.
“Yes”, I answered.
“Good, I'm here to bring you back to the Uzumaki clan, do you wish to come with me?”, he then said. And I could only look stunned. Uzumaki clan? There is a clan I'm part of? I have a family?
“W...what do you mean?”, I asked to be sure to not have misheard him.
“The Uzumaki have rebuild Uzushiogakure and are now searching for their lost members. You are one of them. I, Dexter Uzumaki, am the leader of the village and here to bring you back into the family”, he said and I had to doubt him. How could a child be the leader of a village, even if his Chakra felt powerful enough.
“I can see that you doubt me, worry not, this form is merely a Henge”, he said with a smirk and I felt a slight blush. How stupid of me to show my emotions so easily.
“What would I have to do when I come with you?”, I asked. It couldn't be worse than what I have to do in Kusa, but not asking would be stupid.
“You could live as a civilian, keep going with your Ninja career or learn how to heal without your bloodline”, he answered and motioned to my many bite marks, which I tried to hide.
“So I wouldn't be forced to be bitten again?”, I asked and searched in his Chakra for any deceit.
“No, you could learn real healing Jutsu and how to control your other parts of your bloodline”, he answered and I felt no lie in his Chakra. It was still big enough to overshadow mine manifold, but there was no lie at all.
The pros would be to have a family, not having to be forced into being a walking healing buffet, people who might be nice to me and no visible death of Chakra exhaustion that will surely be my end in Kusa. Like it did happen to mother.
The cons would be that I don't know if it will be as he said. While he hasn't spoken any lies, it doesn't mean that others will think the same.
“Okay, I will come”, I finally said.
“Good, take this seal and....”, he began but suddenly stopped and fell down. His Chakra was all of a sudden in tumult and the smaller signature that resembles him and fought against the Kusa woman vanished.
Then something happened and his Chakra changed completely. Gone was the feeling of hunger for knowledge and new things, instead came the feeling of immense danger and cold ruthlessness.
“NO! What happened to his clone?”, boomed a different voice from the now standing up Dexter Uzumaki. The voice carried power, Chakra and immense worry.
This wasn't the guy from before, it was something different. Dangerous and with way more power than even him. It felt like a bottomless well of Chakra. Chakra that was ready to burn me and everyone that came in its way.
“You girl from the Uzumaki clan, take the seal and activate it. It will bring you to Uzu. I will have to find out what happened to my mate and why he's suddenly overcome with memory flush!”, said the Thing and pressed a sealing tack in my hands. It then run off with such a speed that the ground cracked. Right towards the Kusa woman. A moment later and a giant explosion rocketed the ground.
I just looked at the seal for a moment and activated before anything else could happen.
A flash or red blinded me minutely and I found myself in a house, a woman with red hair and a blond woman were standing in front of me.
“You must be Karin, Dexter told us that he will send you. My name is Kushina Uzumaki and this is Tsunade Senju. We welcome yotothe family of Uzumaki”, said the woman with red hair and smiled happily.
“What was the thing in Dexter?”, I just blurted out and the happy expression from Kushina dropped into worry.
“What do you mean?”, asked the other woman.
“Dexter was giving me the seal but then dropped down. His Chakra was in tumult and then changed into something gigantic, dangerous and ruthless. Something took control of him and spoke about a clone and that something happened”, I explained quickly and the expressions changed from worry in heavy concern.
“This isn't good, it sounds like his blood clone got cancelled without it's death”, said the redhead.
“I told the Gaki that nothing good will come out with his extensive use of blood clones”, raged the second.
“W..what will happen?”, I asked and both refocused at me.
“Nothing you have to worry about. *Sigh* I hope he won't be too changed”, answered the redhead.
“Come, I will bring you to someone that will show you the village and will help you settle in. What was your mother's or father's name? Maybe there are some relatives”, she then said.
“My mother's name was Ria Uzumaki”, I answered sadly. The memory of the dead body of my mother still hounds me in my sleep.
“Oh Ria-chan, I knew her. Her parents are alive, Var and Juna will be delighted to know that they have a granddaughter”, she said in happiness, but it was obvious from her Chakra that she was worried about this Dexter.
I nodded tiredly and let myself get led out of the house.

Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
