Dexter's POV;

Damn Kura-chan was pissed when this raccoon cut her tail off. I tried to reason that it would be back the moment she is re-summoned but silently agreed with her desire to evaporate the furry little bugger. That I got to pet and snuggle with her tails afterward was also good.

But there a lines that can't be crossed, like someone who puts their hands on the tails of my Kura-chan. That the island had to get blown up for it was only a small price. For his great heinous deed.

I mean really, look at it now, it is a 30km” big island, almost flat now, has a big lake in the middle and even a sea connection. The wood I made with the grown forest is enough for a small village and the island can easily be turned into a sea-fortress now.

You just have to raise a wall at the shore and the only entrance, being the river, makes it pretty easily to defend. And outside of war, it can also be used as a trade hub. Took me half an hour to convince Mei that turning one of her islands into a flat plateau was a good idea.

And another four hours to explain what happened. Well, they are now more in awe at me and think their agreement was a good idea. Thankfully the explosion was also big enough to be seen from the neighboring islands and we are sure that an investigation will come soon. A bunch of clones is placed all around the island for scouting anyone who might come.

I personally think it will be a group of Kiri loyalists and in a week or two other ANBU from different villages. This fort was well known to many, thanks for its position.

This was why I raised a rudimentary stone house and supplied us with hammocks for the wait. Mei already sent a message back to their quarters that they were okay and would now wait. Of course, our small house is hidden under high trees and painted in green.

We split the night shift into three parts. Mei and Zabusa had the first, Ao the second and Yuugao and I the last one. Ao was alone because he has the Byakugan.

It was now the morning of our third day and I had my Chakra fully recharged when Ao came over to me after breakfast.

“Uzukage-sama, I have a request”, he began. I hadn't my mask on, or my eyes activated, so I didn't look as intimidating as I normally do. Not that Ao would be intimidated in the first place, but I hoped he would be. Kura-chan's Bijuudama was awesome.

“Yes?”, I asked back. He looked like he wanted to mutter one of his back in his day's speeches, but remembered who he was speaking to and asked what he wanted.

“Could you look over the seal on my eye and improve it?”, he asked with a low bow.

“Are you sure, what if I tamper with it and you are left blind?”, I asked back while glancing over to Mei. She was watching us and didn't look surprised, which means that she was in the know.

“I'm sure that a seal master such as you would never make such a mistake”, he said in a flattering and assured tone.

“Fine then, any wishes?”, I asked and began to unseal my sealing equipment. Seals made out of Chakra wouldn't do in such a situation, the Chakra would interfere with the Chakra of the person or simply dissipate with time. The seal of Hiraishin only stays put because it gets recharged when the gets near it. Minato wouldn't have been able to teleport to Obito from Konoha, only his near presence on the battlefield allowed it.

And Ao's seal has to stay activated. This means that Ao himself has to supply the Chakra for it.

“What would be possible, if I may ask?”, he replied.

“Reduced Chakra consumption for both the seal and your eye, an on and off function and a healing function that allows you to have it activated for a longer time”, I answered.

“Is all of this possible?”, he asked in slight awe. This eye of his must suck him dry whenever he's using it.

“Yes, but not on this small piece of paper, I would have to apply the seal on your face, it would look like a face tattoo. However, the fact that it is a seal would easily been seen by anyone who can do more than a paper-bomb. Those who are more knowledgeable have it also easier to recognise what is sealed”, I further elaborated.

Ao glanced over to Mei, who gave him a nod in agreeing. Typical old school Ninja, ask your higher up for allowance.

“That would be acceptable, can you do it now?”, he asked.

“Sure, a warning, though, the activation will burn like hell”, I replied with a grin and took a knife out. He blanched at seeing the knife and I twisted it in my hands ominously.

“What is that knife for?”, he asked a little unsure if he made the right decision.

“This? Oh, I only need a small bowl of your blood as ink. It will allow me to make the seal stronger”, I answered with a grin and gave him the knife and a stone bowl.

He breathed out in relieve and cut his palm so that the blood could fill the bowl. A moment later and the bowl was filled enough for me to use. I told him so and he used a low ranked healing Jutsu to heal the wound.

I then began to deactivate the seals around his eye so that I could apply my own ones. This took me almost an hour, as I'm not allowed to make the slightest mistake. Any wrong move could cost him his eye at least and his life at worst.

After that was done I made him infuse his blood with his own raw Chakra and then used the blood and a fine brush to paint the seals all over the right side of his face and neck. This took me another two hours until I was satisfied.

“Well then time to activate this little picture”, I said and made the activation sign. A small flare of my Chakra alowed the seals to activate and the suck on the Chakra of Ao. He grunted once in pain and then used a small mirror to look at his new face. Gone was the eyepatch and in place was the activated Byakugan. Black seals that were resembling tribe marks were now all over his right face half.

“How is it?”, asked Mei from behind me. She, alongside Yuugao, was watching us for some time now.

“It's easier to use, doesn't require as much Chakra and feels more comfortable. The slight twitch I had is also gone. How do I deactivate it?”, he noted.

“Just give it a small Chakra burst for deactivation and another one for reactivation”, I explained.

He did so and the white of the Byakugan was gone, in place was a brown pupil. Not like his own gray one, but still better than a Byakugan. Eye transplantation wasn't uncommon for an old Ninja.

“Thank you Uzukage-sama”, Ao then said after reactivating his eye.

“You know I do have a couple of other seals I like to test out, but I never got the chance to do so. Any volunteers?”, I then asked with a sweet smile.

“What kind of seals?”, asked Zabusa warily.

“Oh you know, a seal that is basically a container of healing Chakra for immediate treatment, a seal that will show you your skills on a list from G to SSS, a seal for night vision, one for saving up your Chakra and so on”, I listed.

“And why haven't you found anyone for testing?”, he then asked.

“Oh it's not that I didn't had anyone for tests, it's just that I never made one lasting. The latest tests on bandits showed me that they are safe and work as intended”, I answered truthfully, while leaving out that some of these bandits lost their eyes, got cancer like Deadpool or crazy from the information that came with the ranking seal. Those were child diseases that are now long gone.

Only this blasted laser seal that is applied on an arm and used like my Asura Path is still making trouble. It works just fine, a laser shoots out of the open hand of the user..., while sucking the user dry of any Chakra, nutrients and other things that can be converted into Chakra.

“So they are safe?”, asked Zabusa again.

“Yes, perfectly safe. As long as you don't use them all the time without pause. The healing seal also needs to be recharged by a medical Ninja”, I answered again truthfully. The original healing seal was intended to use Nature Chakra, as it heals way faster, but it turned the subjects into stone or crazy like Yuugo.

I also tested Kura-chan's Chakra, both the corrosive and healing version. Turns out that both is corrosive and deadly without a guide like me or Kura-chan. The subject's flesh practically melted under the Chakra.

“I like to have the ranking seal, it might be able to help me in further improving my skills. Not to mention to know in what I am lacking”, agreed Yuugao.

“Cool, you just have to take off your top. The seal is applied on your back”, I said nonchalantly and Mei blushed at the prospect of being topless with a men in the same room.

A quick glare was enough to send both Ao and Zabusa out. She then promptly took her top off and was now only in her bra. Shortly after we heard a yelp of pain coming from outside and Ao.

Mei looked worried and began to move, but I stopped her. “He tried to peek, a clone poked him in the eye for it”, I explained and she now continued to walk out, this time with an furious expression. A few thumps more painful shouts and then a loud crash followed before she came back inside with a smile.

“Cat-san, why are you so ready to show Dexter-san your exposed skin?”, she then asked a little puzzled.

“Well, I know that you are going to become a part of Uzushiogakure soon, so I don't think it would matter if I tell you. Dexter is my little brother”, she said and laid down on a blanket, so that I have free access to her back.

I undid her bra and began to scribble down the mentioned ranking seal with normal sealing inc. Blood wasn't necessary for such an easy seal. The seal was small and resembled a small screen with a black line that went over from her shoulder blade to her right arm and then alongside it towards her palm.

Twenty minutes later I was finished, gave the whole seal a final check and then activated the whole thing. It glowed once in a red flash and then turned invisible.

“You should now be able to see the main Ninja skills in a ranking from G to SSS, this seal also allows you to show others what your status is. Just concentrate the Chakra from your seal to your open palm.

Yuugao glance over to Mei, who understood the gesture and turned around. A second later a blue window made out of Chakra jumped up from her palm and was easily readable by me.

She closed the window by cutting the Chakra connection and then hugged me in thanks.

“How are these skills calculated?” She then asked.

“I took samples from named ranked Ninja and then compared them to each other, after that I compared them to me and then took the middle from each of them. They aren't the perfect assessment of your strength, but shouldn't differ by more than one or half a rank”, I explained.

“Please show me your?”, she then asked and I opened my own window.

“Whoops”. Didn't think about my age there. I looked over to Yuugao who looked fairly stunned. And then heard a thump from behind, so I turned around and saw that Mei has fallen over in shock.

Thankfully, she didn't faint. At least something these Ninja are good for.

“Your age....”, whispered Yuugao.

“I can explain”, I hurriedly said and wanted to start with this explanation, but the Zabusa rushed inside before I could start.

“Ao said that Yagura himself was on his way, he is accompanied by ten ships”. He then looked at the shocked Mei and Yuugao with an raised eyebrow. Then at the still topless Yuugao and, like any good anime character, shot backwards with a giant nosebleed.

“Eh, Yuugao-nee, please get dressed. In the meantime I will get out and handle the current Mizukage”, I hurriedly said and run outside, but not without kicking the blood-soaked Zabusa in the groin for looking at my sister.
