《The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]》UPDATE 01/01/22 : New Year, New Beginnings (ONLY IF YOU CARE TO READ)

It's official. The Second Coming of Fate now has an update section, where I tell you all random shit just for fun.
Well...okay. Not everything is considered "random shit." I do have some things I consider important, but fret not. We will definitely have some "random shit" sprinkled about as well. In fact, the shit I'm saying right now is so shitty it could be considered "random shit." Shit, I should stop saying shit so much. Okay, enough of this shit. Onto the actual topic!
First and foremost, I'm posting this on New Year's Day in my time zone, so Happy New Years everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed watching their clocks tick down to 12:00 am (or 00:00, whatever floats your boat).
There are a few things I want to reflect upon in regards to my two weeks on RoyalRoad, so if you're seriously not interested in this, go ahead and skip to the next section titled "ACTUAL UPDATES."
-----
To put it simply, I'm a newbie writer. The most I've ever written were 2000 word college essays talking about a topic I can give two shits about. However, despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed creative writing. What sparked this passion was my love for reading and storytelling. I often find myself immersed in fantasy and the infinite possibilities that it could produce. One day, sparking my own flare of inspiration, I began to develop my own fantasy.
Over the past year, bits and scraps of ideas took form in my mind as I meshed together a reality that I thought was truly intriguing. At first, I thought that everything I came up with was perfect. But alas, that wasn't the case. There were many instances of writing one chapter; only for it to be dropped thereafter. Countless attempts, day after day, that often ended in failure. I was so sure that I was going to throw in the towel soon. But, to my surprise, near the end of the year, I came up with something that I found to be absolutely amazing. Thus, The Second Coming of Fate was developed.

A few days later, after writing my prologue and first chapter, I found RoyalRoad. As shoddy as it may be (even realizing that now), I wanted to share my story with others. It was very intimidating at first. In fact, I still feel intimidated to this very day. After all, there were countless other stories that looked far more developed and intriguing than mine. But that didn't stop me. I published my prologue and first chapter the minute my fiction got approved.
From there, I continued to write passionately so that I may share it with you all. Writing my second chapter was a big feat, as I had never been able to do so before. This flamed my passion for writing even more.
Most recently, I asked to do review swaps over in the forums to which many others agreed. The feedback I got varied quite a lot. There were a number of positives and a number of negatives. Nonetheless, I appreciate every single one of them and will definitely take all of into account as I write more.
With ALL of that being said (and I know it's quite a lot), I want to take the time to thank all of you who've been reading my work up until now. Your support is truly impeccable and it really boosts my confidence in writing. Getting 270+ views and some followers is more than I could've imagined coming onto this site. For some this might very little, but to me it means a whole lot. So truly, thank you for you support, and I hope you'll all continue to support the series as it goes.

ACTUAL UPDATES
As of now, I am on the last weekend before my university starts instruction again. Although I will make sure that I find time to write as much as I can, I won't be able to update as frequently as I am doing right now (in 3-4 day intervals). Instead, I'm going to start doing weekly posts. As it stands, I have not yet set a day for when I will be doing my weekly posts, but, depending on the days of my next few releases, I will determine it then.

Speaking of the next few releases, I am excited to say that these chapters are going to be some of my favorite to write. That being said, they might take longer to produce than the others, but will not yet follow the weekly schedule that I stated above. This means that each chapter could be released in less than a week, exactly a week, or slightly longer than a week. Fret not, for I will make sure that these chapters are released as soon as possible, up to the best possible standard.
-----
Thus concludes my first ever update! What are your thoughts on it? Is it stupid? Am I stupid? Perhaps both? Give me your answers in the poll down below. If you haven't yet, consider following. I yearn to improve and produce more chapters in the future, so stay up to date on my endeavors. Thank you all once again for reading this and I hope to see you all in the next one. :)

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

To add insult to injury, as he and other survivors shelter for safety in their hotel, Daniel discovers another misfortune. To help guide them through the horrors of this new reality, each suvivor is supposed to have been grafted with an interface - a guide to help them level up, develop their skills, and better understand the world around them. Daniel’s is broken. Nevertheless, this new reality has gifted Daniel with other strange, new powers - powers which could enable him to unite what other survivors they can find into a force capable of surviving in this cruel, new world. Kernal is the first book in the Broken Interface series, set in Alex Kozlowski’s Alpha Physics Universe - described by readers as “a breath of fresh air” in the LitRPG genre, with stories that are “human, thought out, and realistic.” Style.
