《The Voyager》Season 1: The Starcraft Commander---Chapter 118: Captured

A wraith landed on Slayn. A blonde girl stepped out of the cockpit, and was met with the new Highlord himself. Of course, Jean didn’t know Alarak was the new Highlord.
“First Ascendant Alarak.” Jean tilted her head. “What is it so important that can’t be said on the comm?” She tapped a device on her wrist. Not her watch, but a device connected to the Assistant AI. She wanted to learn more from the AI, but there was no response.
Jean felt slightly strange, but she wasn’t alerted. Slayn didn’t exactly have internet.
“The Highlord will tell you about that. In his palace.” Alarak motioned for the palace.
Jean nodded and followed Alarak as the two walked into the palace. Meanwhile Jean continued to attempt to contact the Assistant.
Walking further into the palace, Jean sensed large amounts of tal’darim units around. Again she wasn’t alarmed. She would be alarmed if the palace was empty. It was only normal to have security present around the leaders.
When the two finally reached the throne room, Jean was surprised to find the seat empty. She threw a questioning look toward Alarak. Is Nyon late?
And then she saw Alarak walking onto the chair and sitting down.
“As the Highlord of the tal’darim, I am officially declaring that the tal’darim is joining alliance with Amon.” Alarak said quickly. “This is what I wanted to tell you.”
He paused and searched for the surprised look on Jean. It was nowhere to be seen. What he did see was Jean’s body transforming.
“I’m disappointed. At least ask me what happened. I will gladly describe my victory to you.” The Highlord shrugged and whispered. The way Jean reacted took away all his pleasure. The next second Jean was tackled by four cloaked blood hunters.

Jean quickly stabbed two of the blood hunters and killed them. Their cloaking was nothing to her psi senses, and their light plasma shields were paper. But the two blood hunters didn’t die in vain. As they died, they managed to buy enough time for their brothers.
The two blood hunters that lived grabbed onto Jean’s arms and started pumping void energy into her body. Jean groaned as her body grew weaker and weaker. A large amount of void energy could cripple or even kill a protoss or a zerg, nevermind a terran. Her body ached everywhere, and she could clearly fell her strength disappearing. No longer wanting to hide her watch, Jean tried to reach the device on her right arm. And yet, void energy in her body, Jean found the two blood hunters so difficult to get pass. She tried to resist, but she was held tight. She couldn’t even reach the watch on her right arm with her left hand as the blood hunters restrained her. Without her zerg essence, Jean was really weak. She didn’t bring any weapon or guards either. Bring weapons to see Nyon might be seen as a lack of trust.
Alarak walked down from his seat and slid his armored finger across Jean’s cheek. Her zerg carapace had faded away, and the metal drew a red trail.
“At least scream.” He complained before casually opening four holes in Jean’s four limbs. The zerg mending ability was held back by the void energy, and blood came out with no sign of stopping. Jean’s face twitched, but she didn’t make a sound.
Alarak stepped back, bored. Where’s the fun in torturing a quiet one?
“Deploy four blood hunters around her all the time. Give her a few shots of void energy whenever she moves. I don’t want anything to happen before she is delivered to Amon.” Alarak ordered before kicking Jean in the head, rendering her unconscious.

Pain.
Jean never feared pain. She saw it as a mere warning. Pain warned her when something was wrong with her body. She could, and would, scream, but when she was screaming her mind would be clear. She hadn’t felt fear for a very long time.
This was why when she opened her eyes and found herself imprisoned, she mentally blocked out the numbing pain on her body and observed the surrounding.
She was restrained with her arms and legs spread apart. There was no way she could reach her watch. The situation was, indeed, quite bad. Still, it didn’t leave a single mark on her face. If someone was observing Jean’s expression and not the surrounding they might think Jean’s was debating what to have for dinner.
The door snapped open, and a female protoss walked in. Her shiny armor and her red eyes showed her side. A corrupted Daelaam.
“Jean. The destroyer of Shakuras. I am the commander of the Golden Armada, executor Selendis.” Selendis said with a sense of hatred. The amount of pain Jean bought on the Daelaam was unimaginable. To a certain point Jean was the cause of the Daelaam’s corruption. The fact that the Golden Armada had lost most of its forces after being corrupted was also a factor. “Imagine my shock when you are delivered to us by your own allies.”
Jean shrugged, or rather she tried to shrug in her chains. At least neither Selendis nor Amon knew she was helping the queen of blades against the Golden Armada. No one that had seen her on Char had the chance to live long enough to deliver the news.
“What do you want? Or rather what does Amon want?” The girl asked. “If Amon wants to kill me I should be dead already. Corruption? Amon will not take the risk. I am alive here talking to you because Amon needs me. For what?” She tried to gain the control of the conversation. Some advantage was better than none.
“Maybe my master just want you to die slowly and painfully.” Selendis retaliated.
“No. He will not take the risk.” Jean denied Selendis’ attempt to intimidate her. “Why?”
“Does it matter to you?” Selendis walked closer to Jean. “The only thing you need to know is that you will die slowly and painfully. You have caused the suffering of our people, and soon you will pay the price, you monster.”
Jean didn’t say anything as she went over the little information she gained and tried to understand what was going on. Selendis glanced at Jean again and walked out of the prison, leaving Jean in chains.
