Without warning, a streak of light flashed as a blade flew straight towards Long Baofu and struck him in the eye!

A geyser of blood erupted as Long Baofu reeled back in shock and fury!

His roar rocked the court once more, and it was accompanied by his frantic thrashing.

It was not the pain that caused him to lash out like a drugged up turkey.

It was the embarrassment of knowing who it was that drew his blood, the blood of a dragon, that angered him so.

“Humaaaan!” His roar truly signified the ignition of his ire as his now semi-gaze landed on the one responsible for this humiliation.

Long Huangdi stood there with his hand extended. A clear indication of his previous action of chucking his halberd as hard as he could.

His nine high-grade cauldrons rotated behind him as he held a stoic expression. Two cauldrons, in particular, had a star core each on the inside, filling the cauldrons with a roaring flame that fuelled even more energy into the former Family Head.

Yes, thanks to the draconic salve he was exposed to, Long Huangdi’s previous injuries not only healed but pushed him back to his former peak at the Cauldron Core Flame Fusion Realm.

Still, in normal circumstances, a 2nd Fusion Martial Grandmaster like Long Huangdi shouldn’t be able to harm an existence like the Second Claw of the dragon race, but most of the fault lay with the Second Claw himself.

“Your arrogance,” Long Huangdi sneered. “You think me, or us below you and failed to entertain the thought of us being deigning to harm you!”

“Ptu!”

He spat as he continued, “I thank you for letting down your guard around us as you continued to mock not just my people, but my entire race. A race that my wife and son just happened to grace its existence as. So… tell me, how did it feel to have trash sting you in your eye?”

Long Baofu was past enraged at this point as he released his entire draconic might once more.

The pressure and force of his draconic might unlodged the Heaven Asunder Halberd that Long Huangdi hurled at him and sent it flying!

“I’ll kill you!”

Long Baofu pounced at Long Huangdi, intending to crush him! To hell with the consequences!

A human dared to challenge the prestige of the dragons!? How could he overlook something like this!?

A 2nd Fusion Martial Grandmaster wounded him! Was there any greater humiliation than this!?

To make matters worse, the human went on to mock him! Did common sense leave the chat and get blocked or something!?

He was THE Second Claw! If word of this got out, he wouldn’t have just lost his face, he would have lost the face of the entire dragon race!

Long Baofu was mid pounce with his power on full display!

Not just the court, but the entire region seemed to be reacting to his power as it shook with every wave of energy his body gave off!

Long Huangdi stood straight and fearless in the face of this blow. His expression signified his unyielding resolve.

Suddenly, an azure tail came out of nowhere and slapped him across the face the minute his eye healed. Its delayed function of operation and his rage all but rendered him incapable of sensing its arrival.

“Long Cang, what is the meaning of this!?”

Long Baofu got back up, his eyes gashing fire in Long Cang’s direction.

Long Cang snorted, sending a plume of smoke out, “I should be asking you that. These humans are under my protection as per the young Lord of the royal family, and my duty allows me to take any action I see fit to carry that out.”

Normally, a lower-ranking dragon wouldn’t assault a higher-ranking dragon (based on how the dragons determine their rankings, this would result in the former’s death).

Long Cang wanted to be angry with Long Huangdi for challenging a dragon’s prestige, but he couldn’t find it in himself to do so and he didn’t know why. Instead, he was impressed with Long Huangdi’s transformation. He was far from the sorry excuse of a man that he was when he first appeared before him.

“Since you want to side with these humans over your own race, don’t blame me for educating you instead of your parents!” Long Baofu roared.

A sharp row of teeth flashed as Long Cang snarled with his words, “Come then! Let’s see if you possess such qualifications.”

Long Baofu’s head reeled back as he repeatedly snapped his teeth as if he was biting at the air before a lump formed at his throat that was rising swiftly.

The young emissary’s pupils shrank when he saw this. He then looked to the Long family to warn them.

“Scatter now!”

Shu!

No more words were needed. They heeded the command almost immediately and following this; the lump came to a head at the mouth of Long Baofu’s mouth in the form of a grey shining ball of energy that shot towards the emissary!

“Fated Ruin!”

The attack tore through the void and appeared in front of the emissary before he could properly react.

He twisted his body in a bid to dodge, but the attack chipped the edge of his neck before smashing into the side of the court’s walls!

Bang!

Pu Ci!

The slight contact caused the azure scales on Long Cang’s necks to start turning dull as they underwent necrosis!

The walls weren’t spared a similar fate either, as the same energy caused the rocks to start breaking apart. The energy continued to spread without end and the court began trembling since its foundation was under threat!

“Get out now!”

Long Cang told the Long family to escape, this court was going to collapse as a result of this fool!

Long Nuhuang and Long Huangdi didn’t hesitate. They gathered the previously scattered Long family members and made their way to the exit at the far end of the court to avoid being crushed!

“Get back here!”

Long Baofu wasn’t going to allow their escape to be so easy! He raised his claws and swiped down, sending a powerful claw-strike their way.

The prolific pressure bared down on them with its weight alone, capable of killing them before it even landed!

There was no doubt about it. This was not an existence that they could handle!

Long Nuhuang looked back to see the rip in the attack nearing and growing ever larger in her eyes!

There was no fear in her eyes, only… an unwillingness. A regret that the heavens still stood following her passing, when suddenly…

Shu!

Unexpectedly, Long Cang came between them and the attack.

Long Nuhuang’s eyes widened in shock when she saw this, “No!”

Bam!

The attack landed squarely with a shock wave that quickened the demise of the entire court.

Azure scales burst apart with scarlet blood in frightening quantity, creating a scene of great beauty and extreme carnage!
