Hey, everyone!

First of all: ten thousand apologies for being away and another ten thousand for the bad news I'm about to deliver. Unfortunately, the series is going to go on a hiatus now due to personal life events.

I've been a reader of web fiction for years, and it always sucks when a writer can't fulfill what they've promised. However, I think it's important to let y'all know instead of quietly disappearing. I really do appreciate all the support, but I understand if some of you are irritated with me for not being able to finish the story (especially after I celebrated the 50th chapter)

Either way, I want to thank anyone and everyone who found this story the least bit interesting. An extra special thank you to people who've commented their support and given me story recs (I've added all of them to my constantly expanding to-read list!). I'm not sure about my writing plans for the future, but hopefully I'll be back.

So, my final recommendation: "No Longer Human" by Osamu Dazai. A pretty popular work, and for the manga-literate, Junji Ito has done his own brilliant adaptation of the work. A lot of Roel's angst was inspired by the writing style and the narrator in this book, and a lot of the details about Roel's herbalist also takes inspiration from the pharmacist in "No Longer Human."
