Before Zanis and Ouroboros appeared, Dario watched as his brother was being crushed before his eyes.

Karim's screams of agony shook his heart and soul.

Once again he felt extreme sense of a powerlessness. He was undoubtedly the weakest person here.

He was surrounded my monsters that could put out his life like a weak flame in the wind.

He felt pathetic as everyone else fought for their lives and what they believed in while he hid behind his brother. But now, that same brother he looks up to and aspire to be like, was now experiencing unimaginable pain and suffering.

That was one thing he couldn't accept.

That was the one thing he couldn't forgive.

He clenched his Gungnir and poured magic into it.

The short spear lit up and changed shape after extending.

Dario lifted the spear up and aimed it at the cursed person who was hurting brother, and causing this much mayhem.

After aiming, he poured all of his remaining magic into it. And then, he threw it.

*Boom!*

The spear move with such speed that it broke the sound barrier and turned into a beam of light.

Lisa who was slowly crushing Karim saw the spear, but the necklace prevented her from moving out of the way.

(Die, human!)

The spear hit Lisa in the stomach, and disappeared.

Let's talk about the Odin Series Gungnir by MYTH, for a second.

It was based off the chief of the Norse gods, Odin’s sure-kill spear. This spear was described to never miss its target. Of course this was the same for the artificial Gungnir.

It locks on the targets magic and hunts them down with homing technology. Once it hits its target, the spear then turns into magic particles and enters their bodies. Once it reach this stage, it's game over. The magic particles will immediately attack the target's magic circuit, which is what controls the magic in the body. This was the reason Gungnir could overcome the [Class] barrier.

*Boom!*

The magic inside Lisa suddenly went haywire and caused her organs to explode from the inside.

Lisa staggered and coughed up a large amount of blood.

(Hahahahaha! You're dead! You died! Die!)

The maddening voice that was in her head, faded away with a laugh.

She fell backwards and landed on the monster cat’s head.

“Lisa!”

It was at this time that Zanis jumped and landed beside her.

“Lisa! Lisa! Say something Lisa!”

Zanis stooped down and lifted her upper body with his arm.

“……”

Ouroboros silently appeared next to him while grimacing. He watched as Zanis shook Lisa in his arms with tears rolling down his face.

He turned away and shouted at Owen.

“Owen, try and see if you can help her by extending her life force!”

“Y-Yes!”

Ouroboros’ command freed Owen from his daze, and he quickly jumped over to where Lisa was.

He quickly stooped down and place his hand on Lisa's chest.

Zanis was about to shout something but he was stopped by Ouroboros before he did.

He watched as Owen's body started glowing. The glow then traveled to Lisa from his arm. Her whole body lit up.

“?!”

Owen suddenly widen his eyes, before narrowing them again. He bit his lip but continued what he was doing.

The glow started focus on the hole in Lisa's stomach.

“Its closing?!”

Zanis shouted in surprise.

The hole in Lisa's stomach, started repairing itself at an alarming rate. It didn’t take long before the hole completely disappeared.

“Did you heal her?!”

Zanis asked with a desperate tone.

However Owen shook his head.

“No. All I could do was repair her flesh to ease her pain.”

He paused and grimaced before continuing.

“Her organs are still destroyed, plus she lost too much her life force. She's…..She's going to die, Zanis.”

Zanis froze when he heard that. It was like time had completely come to a halt.

“I’m really sorry! This is all I could do with my rank as a King! I at least needed to be an Emperor Rank to recreate her organs and restore the life she already lost!”

This situation was different from [Magic Exhaustion] so just pouring magic in Lisa wouldn't work. With [Magic Exhaustion] the magic circuit in your body is thrown out of wack because of overwork. This causes the magic circuit to seek a different source of magic to readjust itself. In most cases, it uses your life source as fuel.

Lisa magic circuit was already destroyed along with all of her major organs, this resulted in the lost of majority of life force. So even if someone creates a new magic circuit inside her, and repair all of her organs she will still die because she lack the life force needed to keep her alive.

The power Owen was using is capable of restoring lost life force, and even repairing souls. However, Owen wasn't at the level where he could do any of this.

In simpler terms, there's no saving Lisa.

Once Zanis realized this, something inside him cracked.

“…Z-Zanis.”

“Lisa!”

Lisa whose eyes were now opened, weakly placed her hand on Zanis's cheek.

“….I-I'm sorry I couldn't protect our family.”

Zanis grabbed Lisa's hand. It was cold.

“What are you talking about?! I should be the one apologizing for not protecting you! I wasn't there when you need me the most!”

He said as tears ran down his cheeks. But Lisa shook her head.

“….You did nothing wrong, Zanis. You were the perfect husband, father, and friend…..I was really lucky to call someone like you my lover.”

She used her hands to wipe away the tear from his cheeks.

“So please don't blame yourself for my mistake….and please don’t cry for such a foolish woman.”

She forced a smile and spoke to the three men similar looking men looking down at her.

“I can say with my heart that I loved all three of you. Owen who was prepared to die with me. Ouroboros who was like a second father to me. The man who turned the world against him just to be with me….I love you all.”

“Lisa…”

Ouroboros groan, while Owen turned his face away to hide his tears and frustration.

“…Zanis, do you remember the first time we've met?”

Zanis slowly nodded, Lisa smiled at that.

“I was really scared you know. There I was in a sea of flames surrounded by the corpses of same people I laughed and played with everyday….Bloodthirsty eyes directed my way as the vampire soldiers slowly approached me….And out of nowhere a demon appeared and killed those monsters. Only the face I saw under the mask wasn’t that of a demon, but of a warrior whose ruby eyes stole my soul away.”

The light in Lisa's eyes were starting fade away.

“...You know, Zanis. I owe you for the person I am today. You turned this rebellious brat into a woman, a mother, and a loving wife…..For that I thank you.”

“No, I should be the one to thank you! You turned me from the killing tool into a person! If there's anyone who got the most out of this relationship it's me!”

Zanis shouted desperately.

Lisa laughed weakly and pulled her upper body up.

“I guess we both benefited from this love.”

She drew her faces closer to Zanis's and kissed him on the lips. She then fell back, but Zanis caught her back in time.

“….Pl…Please protect our daughter. She's my greatest achievement after all.”

“Lisa! Lisa!”

She no longer had the strength to keep her eyes open, or to answer the desperate pleas from around her.

Her consciousness was brought to a dark place before a large figure with 12 fly wings on its back.

(Looks like my alter ego caused you a lot of trouble.)

Lisa shook her head.

“It was my fault for using the necklace without permission.”

(…You don't seem to regret it though.)

“Even though I died, I died trying to protect the ones I love.”

Lisa then smiled wryly.

“I do regret not seeing my father and siblings though. I also regret not seeing my daughter growing up to become a beautiful woman.”

(I see that you really loved your family.)

“Yes.”

(Then I should tell you that your chances of seeing them again in the after life are zero. Reincarnation and resurrection are also impossible. Your life will now become fuel for my necklace. Can you still say that you don't regret it?”

Lisa nodded again.

(I see. Then this is goodbye human. We will never meet again.)

“Goodbye, Lord Beelzebub.”

(….Any words you like to leave for your love ones in case I ever meet them?)

Lisa smiled and spoke a sentence, before disappeared forever.

“Lisa! Lisa! Answer me, Lisa!”

“She's gone, Zanis.”

Ouroboros put his hand on Zanis's shoulders.

“She's gone.”

This sentence caused something inside him to crack even further.

The tears pouring from his eyes then turned into streams of blood.

He cried. He grimaced. He wailed.

He screamed from his soul as the tears of blood stained Lisa's white dress.

Owen who saw this completely broke down and fell to his knees while crying.

Despite what he said about buying time, he had resolved himself to die together with Lisa. But in the end she faced the scythe of the reaper alone, while he was left living.

This was Owen's biggest regret.

He should've stopped her even if he had to risk his life. He finally knew why Zanis was angry at him earlier. That's because he was angry at himself. At his own weakness.

So he cried as well.

*Clap**Clap**Clap*

Suddenly an applause interrupted their grieving.

Ouroboros and Owen looked at the man in red floating in front of them.

“Bravo! Bravo! So moving! What a heartbreaking turn of events!”

Said Zach as he wiped the tear from his eyes.

“So entertaining the way she foolishly used the national treasure to repel her husband’s pursuers. And the way she was trying to comfort her sad excuse of a husband. Ah! It makes my heart bleed!”

“The Fifth Scripture, Zach Zebul.”

Ouroboros glared at the overdramatic Zach.

“Yo, Ouroboros.”

“What are you doing here, you brat.”

Ouroboros growled.

“What am I doing here? Hahahahahahaha!”

Zach started laughing while holding his stomach. He wiped away another tear from his eyes and grinned savagely.

“To kill the traitorous bastard who allowed a human to defile our scared treasure, before he disgraces the glorious Zebul name any further. Isn't that obvious?”

Zanis continued to hold Lisa's corpses in his arms, and didn't even react to Zach words.

But Ouroboros was different.

“You bastard, you teamed up with the Dragna Kingdom to kill Zanis! This whole thing, was it your doing?!”

“My, Ouroboros. You give me too much credit. I simply asked them to push Zanis into a corner so that he'll do something stupid. I didn't expect his wife to be the stupid one!”

It was at this time, Zanis finally reacted.

“…..Zach, you caused this?”

He spoke without looking at him.

“Like I said, it wasn't me. Not that it matters, anyway.”

He landed beside of Lisa's body and looked down on Zanis.

“Now I have enough reasons to kill you.”

*Bam!*

He swung his hand and Zanis blown away leaving Lisa's corpses behind.

Zach reached down and ripped the necklace of Lisa's neck.

“Now that I look at her. She's quite the beauty. Too bad she's-”

*Bam!*

A black scale hand punched Zach away before he could finish speaking.

“Don't you dare touch her, you piece of shit!”

Zanis had turned into his dragon form, and glared at Zach.

Zach who was burst through a giant’s body, when he was sent flying, stood up and dusted himself off.

“The 7th Scripture picking a fight with me? Heh, you must really want to die Zanis.”

A burst of flames spread out and engulfed all the monsters and men and turned them into ash.

“You're the one who's dying, Zach! I'm going to make you suffer for scheming against me and threatening my livelihood with my family!”

“Bring it, Zanis! I've always wanted to kill you!”

The shot towards each other and began their battle to the death.

Meanwhile, couple thousands miles away.

*BOOM!*

The god like battle between Arsene and Maria had became really heated.

In just 30 minutes, their battle destroyed 4 small kingdoms and caused the death of millions.

These kingdoms didn't have a [XXX Class] to protect them from stray bullets. While those who did, deployed their trump cards to protect their countries.

These trump cards originally wanted to interfere in the fight, and punish those causing the havoc; but when they saw that one of the fighters was a [Tyrant] they turned tail and ran back to their kingdoms to keep the damage to a minimum.

“?!”

The two suddenly came to a halt while in mid swing of their weapons. This caused everyone spectating to freeze as well.

“Lisa?”

“No it can't be!”

The two immediately head back towards were they came.

They moved so fast they didn't hear to cheering and joyous cries in the background.

It didn't take even 10 minutes for the two of them to return. What they saw was pure destruction.

But they ignored all of that and went to where they felt Lisa's life force disappear.

There they saw Owen holding Lisa's lifeless body like he wanted to protect it from them.

The two’s reactions were completely different.

Arsene looked at the body and grimaced before facing away.

“I’m sorry, Lisa. I’m sorry, Darwin.”

He then disappeared without saying another word.

As for Maria.

“L-Lisa…?”

There was despair all over her face.

Her heart started to ache. Her mind became cloudy, and time froze for her.

“A-Ah…”

The longer she looked the more pain she felt.

“Ahh…”

She looked until the image of a similar looking woman overlapped with Lisa's corpse.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Her sorrowful scream shook the heaven and the earth. She screamed until blood flew out of her mouth.

Just as the pain and grief was going to drive her crazy, she spot Dario running with Karim on his shoulder a few miles away.

It was then it hit her.

Who killed Lisa? Zanis and man holding her body was out of the question. That leaves the people who came here with her. No normal soldier would try to kill the daughter of Flameheart Clan no matter what. Only someone who came from a similar background would be brave enough to do it.

She looked at Dario and Karim again. And then she snapped.

“KARIMMMMMMMMMM!”

She rushed towards them with a blinding speed and instantly caught up.

“YOU BASTARDS, KILLED LISA!”

Her golden claws grew as large as a mountain as they swung down on them.

Karim was out cold, and Dario couldn't hoped to block such an attack, so they fate should've been sealed.

“[Aegis]”

However a giant shield protected the two from the claws.

A woman in a maid uniform stood in front Maria and blocked her path.

“Grandmother!”

Dario cried out happily.

“Dario, hurry and return to the kingdom with your brother. Lisa Flameheart is dead, the mission failed.”

Dario nodded at the monotonous voice, and activated [Dragon Rage]. He created aura wings and flew away.

“GET BACK HERE!”

Maria crazily swung down her claws again.

The shield once again block it.

“CELINA!!!”

She roared.

“Stand down, Maria Flameheart. You cannot kill my grandsons.”

“SHUT UP! THEY KILLED MY NIECE!”

“And I'm sorry for that, but it couldn't be helped.”

Maria had a blank expression on her face when she heard that.

“Couldn't be help? Couldn't be helped?! THEN ME KILLING THEM CAN’T BE HELPED EITHER!”

She rushed towards Celina with a crazy look in her eyes.

But before she could reach her, Maria suddenly founded herself engulfed in an emerald light.

The light took the shape of ball. She tried to leave the ball but wasn't able to.

“[Emerald Incarceration]?! Father?!”

Maria started beating on the walls to get out, but wasn't able to.

The ball then started floating with her inside.

“Father! Let me out, Father! They killed Lisa! They killed your granddaughter! Let me kill them! I have to kill them, Father!”

Maria got no reply as the emerald ball continued to float.

“No! I have to kill them! I need to kill them! I WILL KILL THEM!”

The space around the ball then started distorting.

“FATHERRRRRR!”

The ball disappeared while Maria screamed like a madwoman.

Celina who watched this scene silently, turned her attention to the east for a bit.

“Should I kill them?”

(No. With Lisa Flameheart dead there's no reason for us to interfere with the Black Scriptures anymore. Return.)

“Yes, Master.”

Celina then turned away and walked back towards the kingdom.

A few dozen miles away.

*Boom!*

Zach slammed his fist in Zanis's stomach and sent him smashing into the ground.

“Hahahahaha! Is this all the 7th scripture amounts to?!”

Said Zach who was using fire to fly.

“Come on, Zanis! We're only two seats apart! We're even in the same [Class] now! Well, I'm an [Upper XX Class] while you're a [Lower XX Class]. So even if we're in the same class, we're on two different levels.”

(He's right, Zanis. You're currently no matched for him.)

Zach suddenly looked like he had an idea.

“Oh, yeah. You've lived with that Lisa girl for three years now, right? Even a late bloomer like you must've pop your cherry by now, right?”

He then smiled evilly.

“That means there's a chance you might have a kid, right?”

“?!”

Zanis eyes turned cold at that moment. Zach who wanted to see that reaction smiled.

“Ah. I think your wife mentioned something about a daughter?”

“If you go near Luka I'll kill you.”

Zanis's voice was filled with bloodlust.

Zach smile grew wider at his reaction.

“So her name is Luka. Hmm, nice name. How about I pay her a visit after I'm done with you? If she looks anything like her mother, she'll make a great toy in the future.”

*BOOOM!*

Zanis body released a burst of magic that created a canyon underneath him.

His dragon blood was boiling. So was his demon blood.

His very soul was screaming at him to kill Zach.

“Ouroboros.”

(Yeah.)

“Switch [Personas].”

(…Which one should I switch to?)

“Right now I don't mind if the world comes to end.”

(I see. It's been a long time. My father has been bugging me to retake that [Persona] for a long time. Looks like he finally gets his wish.)

Zanis glared at Zach with eyes full of hatred, and spoke the words that signifies the end along with Ouroboros.

(“I am the Ouroboros of the Norse Universe. I wrap myself around the Midgard world while devouring my own tail. I am the Being who signals the end. I'm the Bringer of Ragnarök.)

Zach smiled as he waited for the beginning of the end.

And Ouroboros and Zanis quickly granted his wish.
