《Mythical Conquest》Against Two Generals

Luka and Miko flew through the air while scanning the city.
They could hear explosions happening all over.
They suddenly stopped.
“It's hard to find a specific person, in such a huge place crawling with people.”
Luka said.
Miko looked around, and saw that far away fire and explosions could be seen.
“Looks like Dario started his conquest. But it will still be hard pinpoint him.”
Saying so, Miko slowly landed on a roof.
He snapped his fingers and an azure flame appeared on his finger tip.
“Just like how we're searching for him, he's naturally searching for us. If he kills me, he becomes king once again. And then there’s the thorn in his side that is you. He must be searching for us like crazy.”
Miko looked at the city's soldiers and citizens scrambling in panic.
He pointed his finger at them.
“Then let's us help him out.”
The flame from his finger shot forward like a bullet and took the shape of a giant azure Chinese dragon.
*Boom!*
The fire dragon savagely devoured everything in sight, including the buildings. It was like a real dragon as it used its to crush and turn everything into ashes.
The fire dragon throughly ravaged the land before disappearing.
The smell of burnt flesh was in the air.
“So we're going to draw attention to ourselves?”
Miko nodded to Luka's question.
“Sounds easy enough.”
Luka's shadow suddenly spread out underneath her. Two red eyes suddenly appeared in it.
*Roar!*
With a loud roar a large serpentine monster flew out of her shadow and started attacking the people and buildings close by.
It brutally destroyed everything around them.
Miko watched the serpent with bright eyes.
“So that's your Regalia? It's a living type.”
A Regalia can come in any shape and form. There were some that were legendary weapons, while there were others that were alive, there are also those that were both.
Sometimes a Regalia possesses more than one forms. Ultimately, a Regalia takes the form that is most beneficial to its wielder.
Long story short, the amount forms a Regalia can take are endless.
As for why Luka was able to use her Regalia in the competition, it was because it wasn't seen as a physical weapon like vastator, and was treated as a summoning monster.
“With this running around, it's surely to draw attention right?”
Luka asked with a smile.
“We might need something flashier.”
Miko stretched his hand out, and a palm size twister appeared in it.
He gently blew on it, and it flew out off his hand and immediately grew into a hundred feet twister.
Luka casually threw a lighting ball in the twister, and it discharged deadly lightning bolts.
The lightning tornado started to wreck havoc on the city and its people.
“Now that should work.”
The two smiled and waited for people to be drawn to their location.
*Boom!*
They didn't have to wait long.
Their lightning tornado was suddenly ripped apart by a sharp light.
A man stepped out and looked in their direction.

Miko's previously excited eyes, became dull and aloof when he saw who it was.
“General Han.”
Luka called out the name of the man who appeared before them.
Han quickly approached Miko and Luka while holding a huge axe.
The crowd suddenly started cheering when General Han made his appearance in front of Miko and Luka.
“Is me or we're not really that popular?”
Miko asked.
“Well, you did ordered the destruction of a city and the massacre of its people. While General Han is very popular among the common folk. It comes from the fact that he's of common birth, and rose to his position with his own strength.”
Luka answered.
“Hm….If I remember correctly you and him fought before?”
“Yeah. When I tried to steal back Bael’s Necklace from the palace. He discovered and pursued me. But I was able to escape.”
“Is that so?”
Miko started flopping his wings again.
“Since you guys are acquainted, you can keep him busy. I'll go look for Dario for you.”
Without waiting for Luka to respond, Miko shot forward.
“Hold it!”
*Boom!*
However he didn't reach far before a flying axe nearly chopped his head off.
The axe spun and returned to Han’s hands like a boomerang.
“What's the big deal, old man?”
Miko spoke with an annoyed expression.
“Now that I have both of you in sight, neither of you can leave.”
Said Han.
“Oh? Such big words.”
A murderous light appeared in Miko's eyes.
“I originally didn't wanted to waste my time with you, but you manage to piss me off with a single sentence.”
He activated his Demonic Qi.
“Demonic Qi? That alone represents the evil in your heart.”
A new voice echoed in the area.
Miko looked behind him and saw a man dressed like a monk.
“If I remember correctly, you're called Shui right?”
“That's right. I'm his majesty's spiritual advisor.”
Shui said with a bow.
“Two unwanted pests. Luka, let's hurry up and-”
Miko looked towards where Luka was and saw that she was gone. Even her Regalia was gone.
“…….”
He stood there in silence for a while.
(She left you behind.)
“I can see that!”
Miko shouted back.
“Well, whatever. I was trying to do the same earlier.”
He didn't need to look at the Generals to know that they had their sights locked on him.
The rules did state that if either king candidate dies or gets captured the battle will come to an end. So it was natural that Miko would be targeted.
He looked around and saw that both Shui and Han had brought their platoon with them.
He was severely outnumbered.
“Haha.”
Miko laughed a little and landed on the ground.
“I'll just consider this a warm up.”
*Boom!*
A burst of flames suddenly engulfed the area.
The flames quickly devoured the soldiers. Only Han and Shui were unaffected.
It was then a hand made of purple aura shot towards them.

Han used his axe to severe one hand, while Shui Buddhist beads glowed and formed a golden light that instantly destroyed the aura.
When the smoke cleared Miko stood there cloaked in Qi and [Dragon Rage] aura.
“It's been a long time since I've used [Dragon Rage]. It surprisingly goes well with Qigong.”
Miko smiled deviously and rushed towards the two generals.
Han rushed forward and swung his axe.
Miko jumped over it, and made a giant fist made of aura smash down on him.
*Boom!*
It collided with chains that came out of nowhere and shielded Han.
The chains came from Shui’s shackles.
“Hah!”
Han roared swung his axe at Miko.
Miko flew back and dodged it and then charged forward swinging his fist.
*Boom!*
He fist clashed with Han’s axe.
“Hm?”
Miko was surprised to see that the axe actually cut through the protective aura of [Dragon Rage] and his Qi.
“Namu Amida Butsu!”
“?!”
Miko looked up and saw a gigantic golden palm falling towards him.
He tried to escaped, but his arms and legs were suddenly bound in place by serpent-like chains.
Han took this moment to throw his axe and lodged it in Miko's chest.
Miko didn't even have time to scream before the palm crushed him.
*Boom!*
The audience was shocked, because they wondered if this battle was over so easily.
Of course, it couldn't be that easily.
*Boom!*
The golden palm suddenly shattered, and the chains were broken.
A draconic Miko shot out of the dust and kicked Han square in the face.
“Guh?!”
He was forced a couple dozen steps back.
Miko popped up in front of him and uppercut him off the ground.
*Boom!*
Han crashed through a partially destroyed building.
Miko pulled the axe from his chest and threw it at Shui.
Shui easily dodged the axe, but he failed to react to the two giant aura hands that came out of nowhere.
*Boom!*
The hands slammed onto Shui’s body and formed a prayer gesture.
It was then another Miko appeared out of nowhere.
This Miko was the real one that used [Stealth] to hid himself, while his copy fought Han.
*Boom!*
Shui forces opened the aura hands, and rushed towards Miko.
*Boom!*
At the same time, Han also shot out of the building.
Seeing the rushing towards him, a crimson light appeared in Miko's eyes.
He prepared to welcome them with a Demonic smile.
However, he didn't get to.
“General Han!”
*Boom!*
Leon came out of nowhere and swung down his axe on Han’s body.
“Guh?!”
The axe cut into Han and sent back to the ground.
“[Frost Hammer]!”
*Boom!*
Meanwhile, Shui was forced back by an ice hammer being swung by Sasha.
Seeing his parents, Miko quickly withdrew his Demonic bloodlust and calmed his mind.
“Miko, why are you fighting these guys? What about Luka?”
Sasha asked as she stood in front of him.
She and Leon saw Miko and Luka's lightning tornado, and thought that they were fighting.
They met along the way, and hurried when they saw a giant golden palm fall from the sky.
Hearing Sasha’s question, Miko smiled and said-
“She went ahead.”
“Is that so? But you shouldn't waste your energy fighting these guys. We'll take care of them, you go and find Dario.”
Leon said.
Sasha nodded in agreement with Leon.
Miko was reluctant, but in the end he did what they said.
He took one last glance at Han and Shui and sighed.
‘I wanted to kill them myself, but it would definitely take too much energy.’
He flapped his wings and started to fly away.
However he paused when he reached Leon.
“A word of advice from child to parent….no, from demon to demon. Fight far away from my mother.”
He spoke low but clearly.
“Because if you lose control and hurt her, I will kill you myself and use your soul to nourish the demon side of me.”
He didn't wait for Leon's response and flew away.
Leon was left with a solemn expression as he faced Han.
Han silently stood up and pulled Leon's axe from his chest, and threw it back at him.
He stretched his hand out, and his axe flew back in his hand.
He looked at Leon and spoke.
“To think that I have to fight my protégé to the death. Is this what they call raising your own killer?”
“I didn't want it to be like this either, Teacher.”
He raised his axe and pointed it at Han.
“However, this too is a part of life. The student must surpass the master.”
“…….”
Han said nothing, and rushed towards Leon with his axe.
Leon leaped back and turned around and ran.
Han quickly chased after him.
“What are you doing boy? I never thought you how to run!”
Leon didn't care for Han’s taunts, and hurriedly distanced himself from Sasha.
In the meantime, Sasha stood face to face with Shui.
“Greetings, General Shui. My name is Sasha Dragna.”
Sasha spoke with a smile.
“....Girl, is this your first time fighting a battle. There's no need for politeness in the face of death.”
Shui took a fighting stance and his shackles made loud noises.
Sasha on the other hand continued to smile without readying herself.
She looked at Shui and said-
“I'm sorry. It's just that you might be the first person I kill.”
The moment she said that, Shui felt like temperature was falling fast and his surroundings were becoming eerie.
Black mist started flowing out of Sasha's body, accompanied by the screams of the dead.
Horrified and mournful faces started appearing behind her, like she was standing in front of the entrance to the netherworld.
“If there's any consolation…..”
The faces swiftly rushed together and a form a black beast behind Sasha.
“It was nice to finally meet you, Kill #1”

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!
