9:30 PM, District 9.

The 9th district was what you would call a commercial district; almost 70% of the buildings in the district were either some kind of food outlet or a store of some kind.

“Starving….I'm starving to death…”

Said Ishma, who was waiting in line, inside a fast food restaurant.

After leaving the apartment they walked around the city for a bit. They ran into some minor issues with the locals, but they handled it as quickly as possible, and made sure to erase the evidence.

Later on Ishma complained about being hungry, and Regis rarely agreed with her. Miko himself was feeling quite hungry as well, so they decided to travel to the 9th District in search of a place to get some food.

That's when they stumbled upon a fast food restaurant. The three of them all had enhance senses so they were immediately drawn by the delicious smell coming from inside and approached it.

But, they encountered an extremely long line upon arriving there.

Apparently, the restaurant was having a pre-summer promotion, and was unveiling some new burger or something. Of course, Miko wasnt aware of this. Normally, he would leave and go to a different restaurant, but the new burger piqued his interest.

“A half chicken half beef burger? It's topped with bacon dipped in barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese. The bun has secret ingredient inside it?”

Miko and the girls was reading a promotional poster that a female employee gave him with their mouth watering.

“Don't worry, miss. It may not sound like it, but it's all low fat; so you don't have to worry about getting fat and losing your perfect figure. It's the same for your sisters.”

Said the employee with an innocent expression.

She wasn't the first to mistook the three for sisters. It was actually quite understandable.

Regis looked like a younger Miko, so it's common sense to assume they're relatives.

As for Ishma, she might doesn't look like them, but it takes two parents to make a child. If you wrap your head around the thought that Miko and Regis resembled their mother, while Ishma resembled their father, then it wasn't odd to mistake them as siblings.

However, being told that he had a perfect figure by a woman, gave Miko mixed feelings.

And that was how the starving trio ended up a line that stretched to outside the store.

After a few minutes, they were at the front of the line. Although, the line was long, it didn't take an hour to reach the cashier. In fact, the line moved incredibly fast because most of the staff were androids. So, the three got their orders quite quickly.

It was what happened afterwards that caused this whole incident.

“Yo! What's the hold up?! Me and my boys are starving here!”

A man who was waiting in line started to make a fuss. He wasn't alone. Standing next to him was a group of intimidating looking men. They were obviously from a gang.

Miko took a glanced at the men, and then looked at the front of the line. He saw that there was a girl, who couldn't decided what to order. Apparently, she was ordering for more than one person, and became flustered after she couldn't remember what she was suppose to order.

Miko looked at the girl, and then looked at the burger, and then the girl again.

“Not my problem.”

Saying so, Miko and the girls sat at a four seater table, and was preparing to eat their long awaited meal.

In the background….

“Oi, woman! What's the hold up, huh?!”

One of the men, walked up to the front of the line, and began to intimidate the teenage girl.

“Eh…um…sorry!”

The girl started trembling when she saw the angry man.

“Huh?! Why are you apologizing?! Just hurry and order already or I'll order for ya!”

The man started to randomly select food from the monitor, that you order from.

“Ah! Please don't do that!”

The girl tried to stop the man, but he shoved her out the way and she fell to the floor.

“Shut up! I'm ordering what I want!”

The man shouted. The girl could only look with frighten eyes.

“Hey! How can you treat a girl like that?!”

A elderly man, who was also waiting line, went beside the girl and helped her up.

Another man who was also in the line confronted the gang member.

“Do you have no home training?! Apologize to the young lady! Don't you have a mother or a sister?! Would you like someone to treat them the way you did that gir-ugh?!”

The man was unable to finish his sentence, because he was punched in the stomach by the gang member. He held his stomach, and fell to his knees.

“Shut up, old fuck! Why would I care what happen to a bitch, who was nothing but a drug addict and whore, who walked the streets at night?! I don't have any woman in my family worth respecting!”

The gang member forced the man to stand, and punched him again and again and again. He then grabbed him by his collar and threw him into a table.

The table where Miko and the girls were sitting.

“………..”

Everything on the table was knock to the ground; food and all.

“………….”

Miko was seated in his chair and held both his hands in the air, as if he was holding a burger and was chewing on air.

“As if” meaning that his burger was no longer in his hands. The burger fell from his hand just as he was about to eat it. Miko had yet to taste the burger.

Miko wasn't the only one, Ishma and Regis both had their burgers hit out of their hands after a bite.

“……..”

They sat there with blank expressions.

Miko on the other hand continued to chew on air.

Whether if it was because he was denying reality or that his brain had yet to process what had happen, is unknown. Only thing that was clear was that he was chewing on air, and that his brain was slowly processing the information.

A few seconds later, his mouth stopped moving.

“………”

He slowly looked down.

He wasn't looking at the man, who was groaning in pain, he was looking at the now soiled burger.

“…Egg?”

The surprised ingredient in the bun was apparently egg. The reason why Miko knew this, was because the bun had been stomped on, and it made the egg visible.

It was at that time, Miko fully understood what happened.

“……..”

He quietly stood from his chair, and walked over to the cashier. Ishma and Regis silently followed behind them.

“Hahaha! Now, woman!”

Said the gang member.

“You're going to pay for our food!”

“W-why would I…..”

The girl said in a low and frighten voice.

“Because you made wait, why else?!”

Declared the gang member, who burst out laughing.

He walked up to the girl and was about to grab her, when-

“Oi.”

A sudden voice from behind caused him to stop. He turned around and saw who it belong to. Of course, it was Miko.

“Woah! What a cute girl! Oh, look! Even her sisters are cute!”

“……”

Miko and the girls didn't say anything in response to the gang member’s outburst.

“Hey, do you wanna have a good time with me? I promise you, you won't regret it!”

The gang member tried to put his on Miko’s shoulder, but Miko slapped away his hand before he could.

He then pointed to the table where his was sitting and said-

“You're going to pay for that.”

The gang member looked over at the table, and responded-

“Huh?! Are you threatening me?! Are you related to that, old fart?!”

The gang member misunderstood what Miko was talking about. Miko wasn’t talking about the man groaning in pain on the ground. He was talking about his burger he waited in line for. Miko didn't care about the man on the floor or anyone in the restaurant. The only thing on his mind was his burger.

“Huh?! Say something you little brat!”

The gang member approached Miko, and was trying to intimidate him.

“Are you scared-”

The man sentence was cut short.

Miko grabbed his head, and slammed it into the monitor.

“Ah!”

The sudden action surprised everyone in the restaurant. But, Miko wasn't done.

He then grabbed the man by his collar, and threw him into a wall.

He then walked over to the gang member, who was groaning in pain, and grabbed him by the leg.

Miko then, as if he was swinging a tennis racket, slammed the man into wall; again and again and again. Until he could no longer make a sound.

“You bastard! What do you think you're doing?!”

Miko heard a shout behind him, and turn around to see a man charging towards him. He looked like he was the gang member’s comrade.

The man charged towards Miko with a knife; but he was never even able to swing it.

“Give me back my burger, motherfucker!”

“Blegh?!”

Ishma came out of nowhere and kicked him in the face.

The man smashed through the restaurant window, and landed outside.

The other gang members who saw the whole thing, looked like they wanted to run. But unfortunately for them…

“Oi. Someone is going to pay for this.”

Miko and the girl’s switches had been flipped. It didn't matter where or when; once they were in the mood all hell is gonna break lose.

“Ek!”

The gang members shrieked when they saw the merciless look in the three’s eyes. They tried run, but running was futile.

Regis grabbed one of them by his long blonde ponytail, and forced him to face her, before kneeing him in the face.

“Ugh!”

She wasn't finished. He grabbed him by the shirt, and threw him at his friends. The blonde gang member crashed into his comrades, and they all fell outside.

“There's an old saying. An hungry man is an angry man.”

The gang members slowly turned around, and looked at the demons walking towards them.

“I'm going to show you, how true that saying really is.”

The gang members no longer tried to run. Fear had frozen them in place. Fear that only the devil could cause.

“……….”

After breaking their arms and legs, and had done other things that would be better left unsaid to the men; Miko and the girls took all the money that were in their pockets, and was at the front of line once again. They didn't wait long this time, because the other persons in the line all allowed them to go straight to the front. He didn't know whether it was out of fear or out of respect; either way Miko didn't care. The only thing he cared about was his long awaited burger.

It happened just as Miko, who enjoyed his burger to the fullest, left the restaurant with the girls.

“…….”

They found themselves surrounded by at least 20 men. They were all wearing a pendant with a burning cross and a star, somewhere on them.

Miko didn't need to ask why they were surrounding him. He could already guess.

“That's them! Those are the girls that beat up our guys!”

Apparently, another gang member was in the area, when Miko and the girls were rearranging their skeletons.

“Sigh. First of all, I'm a guy. Second of all, this whole ‘avenging our comrades’ thing looks like a pain in the ass; so, I'm just going end this and be on my way.”

“Wha-!”

Before any of the gang members could react, Miko kicked one of them in the chest, and sent him flying into a nearby store.

He then preceded to punch, kick, choke and slap the rest of the men, until they were unable to move or speak.

Miko and the girls then quickly left the scene before a crowd could be formed.

It wasn't that he was scared of what people would think of him, it was just that he didn't want any unnecessary trouble; because unnecessary trouble leads to the unnecessary use of energy. Since, Miko was lazy by nature that was the last thing he wanted.

They went for stroll through a nearby park.

“There’s the bastard! Hey, you! How dare you attack D’arc?! You won't live to see tomorrow- ugh?!”

While they were on their stroll, they encountered more gang members. Feeling annoyed, Ishma delivered a roundhouse kick to one of them, who was spouting out cliché lines. She then preceded crush the rest.

She and Regis were equally as strong as Miko, so they could easily handle men on this level.

10:10PM, District 18. Miko and girls were sitting alone in the night.

“Hah!”

Miko was extremely irritated.

No matter where he went, he encountered more and more D’Arc members. Even when they left District 9, that didn't change.

The total number of men they've broken, had already reach the triple digit mark.

“This isn't a coincidence. Those bastards are keeping track of our movements. They're probably using a satellite, which means they aren't just any street gangs. And most of them are somewhat skilled, which means that they belong to a large crime organization……. Sigh.”

Miko was overwhelmed by how annoying this night was becoming.

The gang members probably won't stop attacking him until he's either dead or have been captured.

“Argh! Annoying, annoying, annoying!”

Shouted Ishma who was looked really pissed off.

Miko got up from his “seat” ,and picked something up off the ground. It was a man, who was beaten to point his face was unrecognizable.

“Oi.”

He slapped the man to wake him up. The man groaned as his consciousness slowly returned to him.

“…Huh? Where am I? Who am I?”

The man said. Miko slapped him again.

“Ow! ….you're that bastard that's going around kicking everyone's asses! Don't think that- ow! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Forgive me!”

Miko realized that the man was going spout out some cliché lines again, so he slapped him before he did.

“Your boss, your organization, your base of operations, I want all the information you know about them.”

Miko demanded.

“You expect to sell out my comrades?! Ha! Keep dreaming!”

Said the man.

“I see.”

That was the only thing Miko said.

10:15PM. Miko and the girls walked away from where they were sitting.

They walked away from the mountain of beaten up bodies he piled up together to make a seat.

Miko had obtain all the information he wanted on a tablet; after he let Ishma “persuaded” the man with a few more slaps, and a broken limb.

“D’Arc, Jeane-Pierre Blanche, Le Nuit, District 11….. This all sounds like real pain in the ass.”

Miko used the map on tablet to locate a certain warehouse.

“Well, it can't be helped. I guess I'll just destroy them, and call it a night.”

“Let's hurry before we get hungry again.”

Said Regis.

“Haha! It's a slaughter!”

Ishma on the other hand looked quite excited.

Miko sighed and walked through the night with an bored look on his face.

That was when his assault on D’Arc, truly began.
