《Mythical Conquest》The Anger One Year In The Making

Miko laid on the ground in the middle of the street of the capital after getting kicked into the city by Sora.
Him crashing and bouncing off a building before laying flat on the ground naturally drew a lot of attention.
“What happened?”
“Is someone fighting?”
“I heard that an army is outside of the city walls.”
“What? Are we getting invaded?”
“Are you stupid? We have Lord Nero, Lord Rouge, Lord Nova and the rest of the Dragna Clan protecting us. Which idiot would try to invade us?”
Miko heard the mumbling of the citizens around him.
He jumped to his feet and dust off his clothing.
It was at that time that the people were able to see him more clearly.
“K-King Miko?!”
“Your Majesty!”
“It’s the king!”
“He has return!”
The people immediately got to their knees and bowed in servitude towards Miko.
“Hail the king!”
They started to shout out in unison.
Their shouts resounded and drew more attention to Miko. When the others saw that their king was among them, everyone started to bow.
“Hail the king!”
They shouted even louder than before.
It was at this moment that the city gates opened.
From it Sora and Ace were seen escorting Tia and rest inside.
“Look! It’s Her Holiness!”
Tia instantly drew the attention of everyone in the area.
Everyone started to bowed towards her with equal servitude they showed Miko if not more.
“Hmph. Bowing your head to a lizard…..you people lack shame.”
Said Ishma.
“This lizard can still use a Crow to pick her teeth if that Crow isn’t careful.”
Tia said with a smile.
“What was that?!”
“Now isn’t the time, Ishma. At least act civilized in public.”
Said Regis.
“Hmph! I’ve spent the last year doing as I please crushing everyone whether it be in public or private. Telling me to behave is useless. Right, boys!”
“Yes, Boss!”
Ishma’s gang roared in support.
Regis shook her head in disappointment.
“Miko, I think it would be best for you to be on alert.”
Sora walked over to Miko and said.
“When you left a year ago, it left a lot of people upset. The news of return has probably spread to every corner of the city by now. So you you should-”
Before Sora could finish, he saw a vortex open up beside Miko.
From it someone stepped out.
She had jet black hair, red eyes, a beautiful face, and was around Miko’s age.
This was naturally Luka Flameheart.
She was dress in a military style red and black uniform, and had gloves on her hands.
She looked at Miko without any signs of emotions.
“Kaido….”
Jin who saw Luka couldn’t help but to call out to Kaido.
Kaido nodded his head as he observed her as well.
“That girl is strong.”
“Of course she is. She’s Ouroboros’ s proxy, and the one who killed the previous king.”
Said Sapphire.
She had gathered information on not only Miko but those around him as well, when she came here a year ago.
She looked at Bloom.
“She’s also considered to be one of Miko’s lovers and the biggest candidate for queen.”
“?!”
This news shocked Bloom and Sola by extension.
“Oh, Luka!”
Miko smiled and turned towards her.
Sora and Ace silently distanced themselves from him when they saw Luka.
“Long time no see. I’ve miss--”
*Boom!*
Miko was cut short by Luka’s fist embedding into his stomach.

“Go to hell!”
*Boom!*
A blast of dark aura blew Miko away into the distance without any resistance.
Loud explosions echoed out as Miko crashed through the lower class district and straight into the commercial district.
“Woah….”
“One year worth of anger infused into one punch sure is powerful.”
“Indeed.”
Said Ace and Sora.
Luka stood there with her fist trembling as she glared in Miko’s direction.
“My, your daughter sure is pissed. Boros.”
As Tia said that Ouroboros appeared from a light next to her.
“You should’ve seen her when he just left.”
He said.
When Ouroboros appeared everyone from the Grim City group were in awe. Another famous being had suddenly appeared before them after all.
“Hmph.”
Luka turned her back on Miko and walked towards the group. She stopped and stared at them.
“Hmm….Not bad. The bastard wasn’t just messing around like I thought and made sure to bring back some useful stuff.”
She said as if evaluating them.
Her gaze stopped on Sapphire for a while.
“Ah, you’re the one who took Miko out of the country.”
Sapphire didn’t answer because she felt a form of hostility from Luka.
“Luka!”
That’s when a new person flew towards them with white wings.
This was naturally Hina who had gotten even more beautiful than before.
“Hina.”
“Luka, where is he? Where’s Mikky?”
“I sent him flying over there.”
Luka pointed behind her with her thumb.
“Ah, here he comes.”
Miko was seen immediately after flying with his dragon wings.
He was all bloody and bruised up from Luka’s fist.
“Yo, Hina.”
Even so he landed with a smile on his face.
“How--”
“Bastard!”
*Boom!*
Miko was once again unable to finish speaking before getting kneed in the face.
He stumbled back and spat the blood from his mouth.
“Ok. I deserve that.”
“You deserve more than that!”
Hina grabbed him by the collar.
“You bastard, how dare you run off with a woman and leave me with all the work?”
“It was all for the kingdom.”
Miko didn’t mind the rough treatment and smiled.
“I’m sorry for leaving you two behind, but I wouldn’t be able to leave if I didn’t leave the kingdom in hands I could trust.”
“You think I’m naïve enough to fall for that?”
Miko didn’t answer.
“Whatever. Most of my anger has subdued in the last year.”
She said as she let him go.
“I can’t hold a grudge like Luka.”
“Hmph.”
Luka looked at Miko.
“Bastard, does every thing here belongs to the kingdom?”
Miko nodded.
“Can you take care of it for me?”
“That was my intention.”
Luka said coldly.
She then snapped her fingers and countless figures dressed in black and wear a hornet’s mask appeared out of nowhere.
“Take the goods to the designative locations.”
The figures wasted no time and went to work.
Miko signaled that it was okay and made the Exsul members give up their resources.
“So these are the Black Hornet. You’ve trained them well.”
Said Miko.
“No thanks to you.”
Luka replied.
It was obvious that she was carrying a grudge.
“The Flameheart blood makes her emotions several times more stronger than the average person, so she probably felt very hurt by Miko leaving her behind.”
Tia said Boros.
“Oh, Tia. I got my hand on some Bacchus wine when you were gone. You want some?”
“Oh! It’s been forever since I’ve last drank wine from Bacchus! Come I’ll tell you all about what happened in Grim City while we drink.”
Tia said no more and disappeared with Ouroboros.
“Okay, will everyone follow me? I’ll be leading you all to our immigration bureau to register you all.”
Said Hina.
She spoke in a business-like tone.
Everyone started to walk with Hina at the front.
“So, are you going to introduce these people to us?”
Luka asked while she walked beside Miko.
“Of course. These are my comrades I fought together with in Grim City.”
“Grim City? That’s where you went.”
“You know it?”
“I’ve been there before. I was invited by this guy called Jun Mizune to join an academy or something. However, because I still wanted to kill Darius I declined the offer.”
“I see. Jun’s dead now.”
Said Miko.
“Is that so?”
Luka showed no particular reaction and continued.
“Introduce them.”
Miko nodded and then motioned Bloom in front of him.
“First is Bloom Newgate. She’s my lover.”
*Boom!*
Miko hurriedly grasped Luka’s fist that was aiming right at his face.
“Sorry, I don’t think I heard you right.”
Said Luka.
“I said that she was my lover.”
“I see. Can I kill you now?”
“Trying to kill a king is a crime punishable by death you know.”
“Like I care. I killed the last king so I might as well follow up and kill this one too.”
Luka’s voice was filled with killing intent.
“Hina, is this okay with you?”
Luka asked.
“Hm?”
Hina looked back and smiled.
“Well, this isn’t the first time Mikky has shown interest in multiple girls at once, and I’m sure it’s not the last. As long as I’m loved then I’m fine with any girl he brings back as long as she isn’t a bitch.”
“…..I seriously can’t understand your chaotic nature. It lacks common sense.”
Said Luka.
“I guess so.”
Hina said while laughing.
Her answer didn’t only surprised Luka but everyone there.
They started to wonder if this girl was right in the head.
“……….”
Although Miko never mentioned Luka and Hina BLoom didn’t curse him or said anything. Having experience what it was like to be unable to live happily with the one she loved, she didn’t want to part from him again.
More ever, considering Miko wasn’t one to hide his lust even in front of her, she expected that he would seek more lovers in the future if he didn’t have some already.
And besides, this was a world where polygamy was normal, especially for those with high positions, so she didn’t find it that hard to accept.
However, it’s in the human nature to be selfish. Meaning that if the chance to monopolize Miko ever come up she’ll take it.
“Anyway, these two are Kaido and Jin. I intend to make them Generals.”
Luka looked at Kaido and Jin sized them up with her eyes.
“They’re pretty strong. If I were to fight them I’ll probably have trouble winning without putting it all on the line. But I could still win.”
She said seriously.
Miko laughed when he heard that.
He didn’t know if what Luka said was true, but considering that the rate that she grows is unimaginable, it’s possible for her to be stronger than Kaido and Jin. After all, for Luka a year was equal to at least three years for others thanks to her proxy ability.
Kaido and Jin didn’t refute Luka’s words because they could tell that they would have a hard time fight her just like when they fought Miko.
Miko then introduced the rest one by one.
“I see. You really didn’t waste your time doing something stupid.”
“Of course.”
“Here's a head’s up. If you think I’m the one who’s the angriest about you leaving, you made a sad mistake.”
Luka looked at him.
“Momo was furious you know.”
“?!”
Miko halted when he heard that and had a paled expression.
“I-I completely forgot about her. S-She’s going to kill me. I can feel it in my bones.”
“Who’s Momo? For her to have that Miko like this she must be really scary.”
Bloom asked.
“She not scary at all really. She’s actually really cute.”
Answered Ace.
“Momo is Miko’s cousin and master. In order to make him as strong as he is she has put him through some of the strictest training you can think of. She alone has push Miko on the brink of death more times than anyone. Because he left without telling her, she’s most likely gonna put him through hell.”
Sora answered.
He made praying gesture.
“May he Rest In Peace.”
“I’m not dead!”
“Yet.”
Miko suddenly spun around and started to walk in the opposite direction.
“Where are you going?”
“Shopping! She loves chocolate and liquor! I’m going to buy her the best chocolate and liquor I can find!”
“Wait, Miko.”
Miko was about to sprint but halted when he heard Luka call out to him.
“Meet your parents and siblings first. Things have gotten quite complicated with them.”
Miko’s face became serious when his family was brought up.
After leaving everyone to register Miko hurriedly returned to the royal palace to meet his family.
“I’m back!”
He shouted after sensing that everyone was inside the palace.
He then sense that they were all approaching him.
“Miko!”
The first one he saw was naturally his mother.
She approached him and hugged him dearly.
“You’re finally back! I’m so glad!”
She said while shedding tears of joy.
“Big Bro!”
The second was his sister Tessa.
She ran up and hugged him with his mother.
“I missed you!”
Miko patted her head.
“You’ve gotten big, Tessa. I miss you too.”
“Yo, Miko. You’ve gotten stronger.”
The third was his father who approached him with a smile.
“I can say the same for you. Looks like you weren’t slacking off when I left.”
Leon laughed but didn’t reply.
Miko looked around and realized something.
“Where’s Kristen?”
“I’m over here.”
Miko looked for the source of the voice and saw Kristen in a corner by himself with his back against a pillar.
He was watching everything calmly from a distance.
“I see…”
Miko narrowed his eyes as he observed his brother.
“So this was what you meant, Luka?”
He observed Kristen and noticed that there was a strong demonic aura coming from him.
But that wasn't the only thing.
When Miko’s eyes met with Kristen's he could see a strong hate in them, not only that he could feel Bloodlust directed towards him.
Which meant two things.
Kristen had come to hate him, and he wanted to kill him.
“This really has become complicated.”

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
