A hour into the battle, Miko and Rin were still together.

However, the scenery around them was different.

They were volcanoes everywhere, with seas of lava that stretched forever.

There was barely any place to stand, and the most obvious effect was the unbearable heat.

“How are you able to walk so calmly in this environment?”

Rin asked after seeing how casually Miko was even in this kind of atmosphere.

“Ah, I’m used to it.”

That was all Miko said.

“Is that so?...”

Said Rin.

He then looked at Miko’s hands.

“You really do heal quickly. They’re almost good as new.”

“No. The healing rate of my injuries have dropped compared to my peak condition.”

Miko answered while shaking his head.

He looked at his hands that were starting to regain their naturally color, and looked less disfigured.

“By my estimations, my hands would’ve already healed on a normal day. The fact that they haven’t is proof that something is wrong with my body.”

He placed his hand on his chest.

“Even the wounds you gave aren’t healing fast enough.”

“Then are you in any condition for combat?”

“Well, I’m not 100%.”

He shook his head.

“No. I’m about at 60% at most. But I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Rin was about to say something, but someone spoke before him.

“Is that so? Then taking you out will be easier than I expected.”

“?!”

The two turned around and saw two lightning fast fist aiming at their faces.

Rin dodged it, but Miko didn’t.

*Boom!*

His body was forcibly bent backwards as he fell on the floor.

“Miko!”

Rin drew his sword and glared at their assailant.

It goes without saying that it was Krul Dragna.

“Oh? I was pretty sure that he would’ve dodged that.”

Krul said with obvious surprise.

“If I had known you wouldn’t then I would’ve hit you with everything I got.”

Krul said as he stood over Miko.

He then looked at Rin.

“But this is surprise, that isn’t really a surprise. The Primus and Secundus branches teamed up.”

He smiled.

“I heard from Grandma Echo, that Nero and Rouge were always arguing but were really close as children. Could it be that this continued on to our generation?”

He looked back at Miko, who looked at him with his face bleeding.

“But I also heard that she and Nero were even closer. So what do say?”

He stretched his hand towards Miko.

“Do you wish to form an alliance because of their old friendship?”

Miko smiled and took his hand.

“Fuck off.”

He dragged himself up while dragging Krul down.

*Boom!*

He then headbutt him with all of strength.

Even Krul had to take a step back after receiving the headbutt.

Miko stood up and dust off his clothes.

“Do I look like the friendly type? If so, then dig out your eyes and look again.”

He pointed at Rin.

“He’s a rare exception, but that’s it an exception. I like honest and ambitious people, but I hate two-faced monsters like you.”

“Two-faced? What do you mean?”

Krul spread his arms.

“I’m a benevolent person. A pacifist all through.”

He said with a sincere smile.

“A truly benevolent person don’t say that they’re benevolent.”

He pointed at Krul.

“I’ve seen your type before. Someone who repeated a lie so many times that they themselves began to believe it to be true.”

Krul didn’t answer, and kept the sincere look on his face.

That look made Miko sick to his stomach.

“Fine. It’s not that I’m interested in a delusional person’s babbling.”

*Boom!*

With a burst of magic, he entered his Dragonite mode.

“I’m more interested in your strength.”

Krul was surprised when he saw Miko’s Dragonite form.

He then showed his usually sincere expression.

“Negotiations failed, huh?”

He shrugged.

“It doesn’t matter. I didn’t think I could subdue you with words anyway.”

His figured flickered and he appeared in front of Miko throwing a fist.

*Boom!*

“Ugh?!”

However, Krul was the one who got hit.

Miko ducked under his punch and jumped and kneed him in the face.

Because he was hit by Miko in Dragonite mode, his body left off the ground a little.

Miko then used his hair to slap him away.

Krul’s feet skid on the ground and he almost fell into the lava.

He rubbed his face that was hit and looked at Miko.

“What? Don’t tell me you thought that I was just a weak push over?”

Miko asked.

He stomped on the ground and waves started appearing in the lava seas.

“Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m strong.”

He kicked off the ground and charged toward Krul.

Krul smiled.

“I knew that you were strong. That’s why I want to crush you here!”

He charged and met Miko head on.

He threw a kick which rip through the air and hit Miko.

*Boom!*

Miko purposely didn’t dodged and caught it.

He lifted Krul and started to swing him while spinning.

He released him and threw him into the distance.

A star appeared under Krul’s feet, which made him stop midair.

He used the star as foothold and shot towards Miko again.

Miko jumped and threw a spinning kick.

Krul bent his back and slid under it.

He grabbed Miko’s leg and slammed him on the ground, while still holding his leg.

“If I break this, you'll be at a disadvantage.”

After saying that, he proceeded to break Miko’s leg with a twist.

*Boom!*

He was kicked on the side of his head by Miko’s free leg.

Miko then used his arms to push his body up into a handstand.

“Wha?!”

This shocked Krul.

Miko twisted his body in the direction his leg was broken towards, and threw Krul off him.

Krul twisted his body and safely landed on his feet.

“Oi, oi, oi. Don’t tell he’s a freak like Ashur.”

Sophia said.

Miko landed on his feet, ignoring the throbbing pain from his broken leg.

“….Not fit for combat, huh?”

Rin muttered as he looked at Miko.

“Then what do you call this?”

Miko used his hands to fix his leg back into shape, while keeping an eye on Krul.

“To actually be able to casually break my leg….I don’t think that is an action of a pacifist.”

He said.

“Well, whatever.”

He leaned over and clenched his fists.

“You seem to be holding back. But I won’t.”

*Boom!*

The ground cracked opened and lava started to pour in.

“120%!”

His figure disappeared and reappeared in front of Krul.

*Boom!*

He slammed his palm on Krul’s chest and sent him flying back, with a palm print on his chest.

He chased after him and jumped into the air.

He then aimed a stomped towards him.

Krul however caught him and slammed him on the ground.

*Boom!*

“You’re right. I was holding back. Even though, I prefer to finish my fights in an instant, I couldn’t do that with you.”

He lifted Miko and slammed him on the ground again.

“I thought that I would accidentally destroy you if I did.”

“Then, there’s no need to worry.”

Miko suddenly flew up and uppercut him.

*Boom!*

Krul was forced to let go.

“I’m not that easy to break after all.”

“Is that so?”

*Boom!*

Krul immediately returned a punch across his face.

“That’s great news.”

*Boom!*

He punched him in the chest and forced him underground.

“Cough?!”

Blood sprayed out of Miko’s mouth like a hose, when he was hit.

*Boom!*

Krul then mercilessly stomped him further underground like he was trying to squish a bug.

Miko sprung out of the ground pushing him back.

His body had received even more wounds.

There was a deep footprint on his chest.

“Oh? You really are tough.”

Said Krul.

“Miko.”

Rin called out to Miko.

“You need help?”

Miko lifted his hand telling him to stop.

“I’m not done yet.”

“You look done to me.”

Krul said.

“Again, you really need glasses.”

Miko said with a smile.

Hints of crimson then started to slow appear on him.

“I really wanted to save my energy, but looks like I’ll need to put you in your place.”

“Demon Dragonite!”

*Boom!*

Demonic aura covered Miko and turned him into a demon dragonoid.

Miko then started to slowly walk towards Krul with a cruel smile.

*Boom!*

Krul popped up beside him and kicked him across the face.

“Did you do something?”

Miko looked at Krul with crimson eyes and said.

“No, I didn’t. But I’ll do something now.”

His fists started glowing.

*Boom!*

However, before he could throw a punch he was kicked in the face by Miko.

“Did you really think I would wait on you?”

“No. But I already made my move.”

A star appeared on Miko’s chest.

Krul snapped his fingers.

*Boom!*

It exploded and made him take a few steps back.

Krul appeared and threw a punch.

Miko dodged it and wrapped himself around Krul’s arm.

“That hurt quite a bit. Let me return the favor.”

Miko twisted his body broke Krul’s arm.

“Ugh?!”

Krul groaned and tried to hit him with a punch.

Miko released his arm and distanced himself.

“How unfortunate. I wanted to tear it off completely.”

“Is that so?”

Krul forcibly twisted his arm back to how it was, with a groan.

“Then how about I-”

Before Krul could finished an announcement echoed out.

(Team Quintus has overtaken Team Primus and is now in the lead!)

Krul turned pale when he heard that and immediately shot into the sky, ignoring Miko.

Meanwhile in another part of the field, Ashur was walking through the volcanic hell.

“Seriously, what’s wrong with you people?”

He said while dragging two things behind him.

“You can’t go attacking people out of the blue.”

If you looked behind him, there was a bloody trail.

“I mean look. I got so surprised that I accidentally destroyed you two.”

What he was dragging was the disfigured bodies of Yaya and Maki.

The two were beyond recognition.

There faces were battered.

Their limbs were twisted in odd directions.

And they barely showed any signs of living.

“Ahhhh~. Krul is gonna be mad isn't he?”

He smiled.

“I wonder if he’ll get mad? I want him to get mad. I hope he gets mad. Please get mad.”

He released a creepy laugh.

(Taking two enemy emblems, earning 20 points! Killing 30 soldiers earning another 30 points! And destroying two emblems to gain an extra 100 points! In total, 150 points!)

The announcer’s voice echoed out as Ashur threw the girls into a sea of lava and walked away.

“If Krul gets mad and throw away his mask, I might really get killed.”

He smiled.

“I can’t wait!”
