《Mythical Conquest》Greetings Before The Battle

Lake Ragna.
On the side that led to the Eastern Region, the troops of the Seven Moons Alliance had sit up a camp.
Inside a large tent, the leaders of the alliance were all sitting around a table discussing the upcoming battle.
“We’ve gotten word that Dark Angel Ezra had arrived with his Black Seraphim Unit.”
Said the Kale Empress.
“He brought his Seraphim? That’s great news! Ezra’s Black Seraphim are all quite powerful. Their presences will be great help in our campaign.”
Said Chloe.
“I also heard that the Demon Monk have arrived with some members from the Buddhist Alliance.”
“The Buddhist Alliance? I didn’t know he was on friendly terms with them.”
“I heard that they were interested in something that the Dragna Clan possesses. It looks like they stole something from them a long time ago.”
“It doesn’t matter. As long as we get more allies, I don’t care. Even if Satan himself came, I would gladly accept his help to deal with that clan.”
All the emperors nodded in agreement.
“Death be to the Dragna Empire.”
Chloe lifted a glass filled with champagne.
“Death to the Dragna Empire!”
All the emperors lifted their glasses and tossed.
Meanwhile, Lennox leaned on a tree listening on their conversations with a smile.
“Why don’t we just kill them?”
A person stepped out from the tree’s shadow.
It was a beautiful woman with dark skin and black hair, who was dressed in a dark robe. However, there was something odd about her.
She had a third eye in the middle of her forehead. This meant that she was a parasite demon.
“They still have use, so we can’t just kill them. Besides, I think Chloe is a big fan of mine. I don’t like killing those that admires me.”
Lennox answered without looking at her.
No matter which angle you look from it was impossible for most people to see her. This made it look like Lennox was talking to himself.
“Hmph. I hate people like them. Only think about the prize in front of them, and not of those who must sacrifice themselves to gain that prize for them.”
“I know your hatred towards those types. That’s why I’m asking you to restrain yourself, Paige.”
The woman was a female tyrant with the title “ She Who Steals From The Blessed” Parasite Queen Paige.
She was one of the rare cases where a Parasite Demon defies all odds and rise to the pinnacle of strength after taking over countless people and stealing a portion of their strength.
She broke out of her shell as a Parasite and obtained overwhelming power that ensures no one even thinks of eliminating her. Rumor has it that she stole so many people’s power that she has an endless supply of techniques stored in her head.
“Fine, but I’m killing them later.”
She said.
“If you must, but just be sure to not get killed before then.”
Lennox replied.
“……I’ll be careful.”
After saying that, she disappeared into the shadow.
Lennox stood up straight.
“Now then, all the actors should’ve been gathered.”

He smiled.
“It’s time to get this show on the road.”
He lifted his hand into the air.
*Boom!*
The moment he did, the sky changed color. It was now a strange green color.
“What’s happening?!”
The emperors felt the change and ran out of the tent, and looked towards Lennox.
“Just sending a greeting.”
Lennox answered with his hand in the air.
When the emperors looked up they saw a shocking scene.
The sky was constantly changing colors, every time it changed color an orb of the same color would appear under it.
Before long there were 7 orbs of different colors in the sky. Lennox clenched his fist and the orbs suddenly fused together and formed a giant rainbow colored one.
“Aurora’s Fall.”
The orb suddenly shot down from the sky and crashed over the opposite side of the lake.
Everyone in the Seven Moon Alliance expected to see a massive explosion, but they saw something even more impactful.
A gigantic scaly dragon arm reached out and grabbed the orb before it hit the ground. It then crushed the orb in his palm like it was an egg.
*BOOOOM!*
A large colorful explosion spread across the sky dying it in multiple colors over and over again. After a few seconds, the sky returned to normal and the dragon arm withdrew itself.
“W-What was that?!”
Chloe walked over to Lennox and asked with cold sweat covering her body.
Lennox didn’t answer her immediately and kept looking across the other side of the lake.
After a while he looked at her with a terrifyingly excited gaze, which caused her to step back.
“Like I said, a greeting.”
He then looked away from her.
“You should get ready. The battle is about to begin.”
Seeing his eccentric expression, Chloe started to have doubts whether she or the Eastern Region would survive what’s to come.”
Meanwhile on the other side of the lake.
Raven who had used his arm to destroy Lennox’s attack, returned his arm to normal and brought it to his side.
“Thanks, Raven.”
Miko who was at his side thanked him.
“What was that just now? Was that really the power of a person?”
Ace said with his body covered in cold sweat.
He wasn’t alone, most of Miko’s friends were ashen as well.
“If Raven hadn’t stop that just know, I’m pretty sure we would’ve died.”
Said Luka.
“This is your guy’s first time witnessing such power, right?”
Miko looked at them and said.
“If that frightens you then brace yourself, that was only a greeting.”
He said with a smile.
“That’s one hell of a greeting.”
Said Jin.
“Looks like Lenny Boy is ready to go.”
Nero walked up beside Miko and said.
“I’m sensing a lot of dangerous people on the other side of this lake.”
Nova walked up and said.
“Looks like we get to go all out after such a long time.”
He loosen his shoulders and said.
“War! War! War!”
Ishma appeared beside Miko and shouted.
“Hey Miko let’s go kill them!”
She pulled his clothes and said.

“Sit!”
Miko chopped her on head and calmed her down.
He then looked at Luka.
“Any word from Fate?”
“No, not as yet. But I believe that they should be finishing up.”
She answered.
“I see. Then we need to survive this war until they’re done. A few days, maybe even a month; that’s how long we’ll probably need to fight for.”
Miko said.
“Can this place last that long?”
Bloom asked.
“Nope. This war will probably spread, and both sides will have their territory invaded. Both sides will definitely suffer great damages. Worst case scenario, we sink both the Eastern and Northern Regions.”
Miko responded.
“Man, this war is gonna be big isn’t it?”
Said Ace.
“You have no idea.”
Miko responded and took off his jacket.
“Primordial Chaos Lord.”
He instantly entered his God mode.
Gallu, who was behind him, turned into light particles and entered his body.
“There’s a technique which I always wanted to try out.”
Miko started to walk on the lake surface.
“I think it’s perfect for a greeting.”
An azure aura surrounded his body as he drew Regis from his waist. He stretched his other hand out and Ishma, who reverted to her sword form, appeared in his hand. Immediately after a green aura started mixing with the azure aura.
“The hungry Green Crow dances in the sky and overshadow the world.”
An image of a green crow suddenly appeared in the sky casting a huge shadow on the land.
“The angry Azure dragon rises from the sea and looked down upon the world.”
At that moment, gigantic ripples started to appear in the lake.
*Boom!*
Suddenly a sea dragon emerged from under the waters and looked down on the land.
Miko kept walking as if the creatures had nothing to do with him.
He crossed both swords in front of him.
“By the orders of their king, they become one to strike down the enemy.”
The crow flew down and the dragon flew up, and the two started to entangle with each other.
Lennox who was on the other side of the lake, looked at the scene Miko created and was awestruck.
“Incredible.”
He said and then smiled.
“This might be trouble.”
He said.
Miko who was on the lake smiled and thrust his swords in front of him.
“Draconian Crow!”
The crow caw while the dragon roared, shaking the area.
The dragon and crow charged forward towards the Seven Moon Alliance’s camp.
“Well, this is definitely quite the greeting.”
Lennox said as the earth and air shook around him.
“This one attack might end the war before it even begins.”
He then grinned.
“That was only if we weren’t here anyway.”
He snapped his fingers and an overweight man wearing a suit appeared.
It was the Tyrant Drake who went along with Alexis, Mari, Chao Tian and Victoria to capture Devil Ape.
“Come on, Boss! I recently recovered my fat after desperately defending against that monstrous Ape! Why do I have use my powers again so quickly?!"
Drake complained.
“Because if you don’t, we’ll die.”
Lennox replied calmly.
“Bullshit! You just want to force me to work!”
Drake shouted.
“If you don’t hurry up that beast is gonna devour you whole. I heard that dragons love pork.”
“Who are you calling pork, you bastard?!”
Drake got angry.
Lennox laughed in response.
“Ah, that’s it! You want me to do some work, fine! Just know that once I’ve ran out of fat and can’t cover you any longer don’t come crying to me!”
Drake stretched out both arms in front of him.
His entire body began glowing and a transparent block appeared in front of him.
“King Barrier!”
With Drake’s shout, the block expand in size and covered the entire camp. The draconic crow immediately slammed into it.
*BOOOOM!*
A massive explosion of azure and green light spread out and engulfed the Eastern Camp.
When the fade, Drake’s barrier was still erected and had successfully blocked Miko’s attack.
“Hah! Hah! I blocked it! You can all kiss my fat ass!”
Drake roared at the top of his voice.
“Hm? They blocked it?”
Miko seemed disappointed because he wasn’t able to see how destructive his new attack was. Yet, he was excited to see that his enemies could easily handle something at that level.
“That barrier….That’s Drake’s doing.”
Nero who was watching everything said.
“Drake? Who’s that?”
Hina asked.
“Barrier King, Drake. A Tyrant with the title ‘ He Who Blocks Even The Sword Of God. He’s a human who has the best defensive abilities in the world. However, I heard that it requires him being overweight to use. Apparently, he uses his body fat to enforce his barriers. The fatter he is the stronger the barrier. Constantly using his power will cause him to experience extreme weight loss.”
Alec explained.
“Another Tyrant confirmed. This is getting more and more dangerous.”
Said Luka.
“……….”
Nero silently stared in the direction of the Eastern Range locked on Drake’s figure.
“Hmm, he has quite a bit of fat on his body. He should be able to put up barriers of similar strength another five times or so. However, he’ll be sure to eat as much as possible to gain as much fat as he can.”
He said to himself.
“If he’s able to replace the fat he’s burnt, he might be able to fight a drawn out battle with us if he focus on purely defending.”
He then smiled.
“But I’m sure Lennox won’t allow that. Drake will be forced to fight offensively as well. For that to happen, he’ll need to become thin. That’s when the real Drake makes his appearance.”
Drake couldn’t have became a tyrant with defense alone. Nero knew what will happen to Drake once he loses all his body fat.
“I wonder just how many Tyrants did you summon, Tyrant King?”
Nero muttered with a smile.
Miko who was on the lake felt his body brimming with fighting spirit after being blocked.
He turned around and shouted.
“Dragna Empire, attack!”
With greetings over the battle finally commenced.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
