《I Came Back In Order To See You》1-22 : A good way to start a day

When Talia opened her eyes, she saw a familiar and unfamiliar ceiling. She took a split of a second, before smiling for no apparent reason. It was just a bit past 6 a.m. when she woke up. The past her was already the type to wake up easily, and this didn’t change now. She grabbed a set of uniform and went to take a shower.
After it, Talia headed downstairs. It seemed that someone else was already up as noise was coming from the first floor. When she entered the kitchen, she saw her mother, Angelina, preparing the breakfast. Her mother liked cooking, especially sweets and pastries for Talia. However, she decided to not buy or make too much for her. If she wanted to eat more she would have to find a part-time job and buy them herself.
This was not because her parents were strict or they didn’t want her to eat sweets. In fact, this kind of situation was quite normal in the Union. The education system of the Union pushed forward the concept of independence for the children. The goal was to make aware of the world of work at around the age when they reached middle school. It was for this reason that some could do simple part-time jobs, such as working in a bakery.
Of course, the children could not work more than a fixed amount, and the workload had to not be too important. When the students advanced in their studies, they could receive advice on the job where they could use the most of their ability. For instance, if someone had an ability that could allow them to easily control metals, they could orientate their choice or career in this direction. Nonetheless, it didn’t mean that the choice of career was set from the birth. The students were still free from choosing their own path.
When Talia saw her mother, she smiled without thinking. “Good morning, mom.”
Angelina turned around as she held a few things for the meal. She smiled in her direction. “Good morning. I prepared some very sweet hot milk and large honey waffles just for you.”
Growling sounds came from Talia’s stomach. She could barely control her hunger. ‘Mom’s special super sweet hot milk! Piping hot milk with cubes of soft caramel, chocolate chips, and a drop of honey in it! It might be simple, but I had eaten numerous sweets in other worlds, and not a lot could surpass this.’
Seeing her reaction, her mother’s smile deepened. The two of them sat at the table. Soon after Talia’s father, Adrien, and her brother, Andrew, came. They were eating like they did in the past. Then, Adrien broke the calm silence. “The next time you see Cathia, can you please invite her and Sanya for a dinner at home. She and Sanya had always been nice to us, so I thought we could invite in thanks.”

Talia listened and immediately agreed with a smile followed by a nod. She then thought of something. ’I still have to tell my family about Sanya and me...It’s decided. I will ask Sanya, and if she is ok with it, I will do it at this moment. In this way, I would be able to tell it with her.’
Talia drunk a large mouthful of the hot milk from her mug. The extreme sweetness of the drink filled her mouth, making her almost emptying her mug in reflex. The melted chocolate chips gave an amazing aftertaste, while the floating caramel cubes added a whole new texture to it. The small drop of honey gave a light, but good nuance on the taste.
In the end, Talia ate at least twice as her brother, who considered himself as a big eater. After finishing the breakfast, Talia saw the time and gave a fast helping hand, before going out after taking her bag in her room. However, her destination was not the usual public place.
--------------------------------------
When Sanya opened her door in order to go meet up with Talia, Williams, and Arthur, she stood still in shock. Talia was here waiting at her doorstep. Her face bloomed into a smile when she saw Sanya, who could only tilt her head. “... Hi?”
Talia went up to her and kissed her on the cheek. The action seemed so natural that Sanya took a second before having her face turning into a redder shade. The same was happening for Talia.
“Hi.” Sanya didn’t know, but she was the reason behind Talia’s straightforward attitude. Yesterday she had taken the initiative in kissing her and so on. All of this made Talia think that it was ok to also be slightly more aggressive, even if she was embarrassed. In the end, this was the result.
“Can I come to pick you up from now on?” Talia had her hands behind her back as she asked. Sanya was about to reply, but she frowned a bit.
“I would be happy, but this will make you wake up quite earlier than usual?” The distance between the two houses was not so long but also not so short. The usual public place was a good compromise for them. Talia crossed her arms over her chest and declared with a smug face.
“It’s fine. I’m fast!”
‘Yes, but think of the people that could catch glimpses of you going faster than a train… Well, let’s not mind it. they would probably think that they had a hallucination.’ In the end, Sanya happily agreed. Now, they could have time for themselves while going to school.
The two of them were holding hands as they made their way to the public place. There were about 10 minutes until they reached the usual meeting place. Sanya used this time when they were alone to ask a question that she had in mind. “Talia, when you appeared in my room, what type of magic was it?”

It was a magic that she had still not seen. Talia looked around her in the alley where they were walking and spread her mana as to scan if there were people nearby. It was quite a small alley, with not a lot of people at this time of the day. Her body shone in a light blue color before disappearing from the spot. She then appeared just on Sanya’s other side, causing another blue flash of light. Her hand wrapped around Sanya’s left hand. Sanya was still looking at her with attention and curiosity.
“You probably already guessed it, but it’s teleportation magic from the non-elements attribute. It’s a kind of magic presents in a lot of magic systems. The one in the Arkalium Magic System is quite simple and a bit limited, but I don’t really mind as I don’t use it so often.”
Sanya understood as she nodded. Then, she thought of another question.”Yesterday, Lord’s figure was slightly see-through, and I heard him talk about an Astral Projection. Does it mean that he was not here physically?”
Talia thought for a second as she searched for an easy way to explain. “Yes, that’s right. Lord is specialized in Space Magic and spatial manipulations. So, it’s easy for him to send a projection of himself in a world. As a transcendent, he can’t go into a world so easily.”
Sanya tilted her head after hearing the reason. She also remembered what Lord said. Talia had not explained in details what was a transcendent. “Why can’t a transcendent go into a world like this.”
Talia scratched the back of her head as the question was not an easy one.”...If I had to give you a perfect explanation, I would have to explain what is a World Transition, a Surge of Energy and a World Stabilisation. Mmmh, we don’t have so much time, so to put it simply Lord’s entity as a being is colossal. So colossal that if a world is too young, it could be destabilized, causing natural catastrophes.”
Sanya seemed a bit lost by all those new terms, but she recalled Talia talking about what was an entity when she explained why she had not aged even after 50 years. “So, it means that the ‘weight’ of an entity can be different from someone to another.”
“That’s right, even if it’s less notable for mortals, like us. For example, if we say that a normal human’s entity weight 1, mine should weight at around 100 or 200. However, Lord’s weight is at around a million or so. Of course, this does not reflect the strength of someone.”
“...Wow. But even so, He should be the equivalent of a million of human, entity wise, right? There are more a lot more than a million of human on earth, so what is the problem?” Talia shook her finger in denial.
“The problem is that he is from another world. If he wants to come into this world, he would have to cross dimensions, and that is the problem. We can see a world as a growing sponge in this regard. The bigger the sponge is, the more it could absorb. Our world is still a small sponge that can absorb only a small amount over a time period. So, if Lord were to come, the world would not be able to absorb all of it at one time, causing problems.”
Sanya put her free hand on her chin while nodding repeatedly. “I understand...probably.”
Talia could only chuckle toward her girlfriend. “It’s fine, I know that it’s a bit complex.”
She lightly opened her mouth as she recalled what her father told her this morning. She explained and asked Sanya if she would accept to tell about their relationship during this moment. Sanya didn’t wait even a fraction of a second before nodding with a grin.
They continued to chat until they reached the meeting place. Williams and Arthur were already there. When they saw the two girls together, they each had different feelings. Arthur was surprised as he was wondering if one of them went to pick the other up.
However, Williams had entirely different feelings. Jealousy and shock filled him. His eyes opened wide as he gritted his teeth. But, he tried his hardest to calm himself to not let anyone see the change on his face.
It was too late.
Talia’s enormous physical strength also impacted all of her senses. Her tongue was more sensitive, which made her able to savor even more sweets. Her nose could smell the gentle odor coming from the one that she loved. The skin of her hand could let her appreciate the warmth of a tight hug. Her ears were able to hear the subtle change of heartbeat of her important person on her right. Finally, her eyes allowed her to see the expression of the boy with glasses, who was still far from them.
Her expression didn’t change, but something did change inside. After 50 years, she had finally been able to be with the one that she loved. So, if someone tried to interfere with it, she would consider them as an enemy.
And she had always, but always, been merciless toward her enemies.

There's a Hero in the Kingdom follows the prince of the Kingdom of Sengar and his closest allies as he seeks out the newest hero that has appeared within their borders. Can he convince the hero to join in his efforts? This is very much a work in progress with the intent that it might someday be a proper series. Recovery of a Life
The prince of a kingdom was erased from the world. His very existence an enigma. Follow Xopil as he forces his life into a world that refuses to acknowledge his presence. I tried to write a novel without including all the standard things you find in certain genres, or if it is included, I hope it's at least a fresh take on it, this includes me breaking the fourth wall, probably too much. I'm wondering if that helped with humor at all, and also reconsidering if that should be a part of the story. I'm going to be rewriting every chapter at this point... and that chapter I'm extremely disappointed with could likely be deleted if not redone entirely. Now that this story is marked 'completed', I'll be going through each chapter and fleshing out the story a bit, as I found it severely lacking, and I've been saying to myself "I could have done more with that." way more often than I should be. And that speaks to my own dissatisfaction with my writing. I make no warranty-express or implied-as to the quality of these chapters, or the story as a whole. Cover art by Roman Valeyev
