The moment Talia and Sanya arrived near the two boys, Arthur suddenly asked a question. “Hi. Did the two of you come together? You usually come from a different way.”

Williams turned his stare toward his friend. Arthur seemed a bit tense when his eyes landed on Talia. Williams still remembered what he had said to him yesterday. Talia had become unpredictable. She changed so much from their point of view that she was different from the girl that Arthur liked. It was better for him to bury his feelings in order to stay safe. Williams also wanted to talk to Sanya without Talia around, but it would even more difficult as they looked closer than before. However, he didn’t give up. It was unknown when he would do it, but it was still possible.

Talia replied to Arthur’s question with a big smile and gentle face. “I went to pick her up.”

“I-Is that so.” Arthur had complex feelings. Her personality did change a bit, but she still seemed like a normal high school girl. It was hard to believe that she had connections with the army, and was strong enough to beat up a D-ranked ability user. In the end, he could not make up his mind on his feelings for her.

On the other side, Talia decided to stay passive for the moment. She had already chosen to first know their true intentions. If they didn’t interfere and wanted to stay friends, she would not be against it. Her goal at school was to make it a nice environment for Sanya to study and talk to the other students. She had already gotten Sarah out of the picture, making the future bullies less probable. She would also try to speak with the other loners as to make the atmosphere friendlier.

In the end, the two boys were doing their best to not show their true intentions. Sanya was still glued to Talia, and she barely cared about them, just greeting them. She was friendly with them because they had approached her and Talia in the past. She didn’t hate them, but she didn’t feel as close to them that she had been with her friends from middle school.

The road to the school had been quite awkward. In the end, they arrived in the classroom. Unlike the previous day, the inside was busy with the sound of chatting students. However, the topic was less lively.

“I saw Sarah being taken away by the army’s medics!” The students formed groups as they were discussing.

“I also saw it, and Talia came out of the Chamber like nothing happened.” The subject was the same, or rather about the same person.

“She talked with the army, and left without problems!”

The moment Talia and the others walked into the room. The bustling sound immediately stopped. The room was filled with silence as the students looked at the corners of their eyes Talia’s group.

Of course, the bullies would have a harder time to come back as they knew that Talia had the power to take them down.

“Hi, everyone” Talia smiled as she made her way to her seat with Sanya on her side. Everyone was a bit stunned as they didn’t know what to think about the situation. She already had seemed different yesterday. Nobody really returned the greeting, making the mood a bit heavy. But still, some of them were already less on their guard.

Sanya also noticed the strangeness of the situation and understood that Talia was the center of it. Nevertheless, she still remained close to her. Unlike her, Williams and Arthur didn’t try to stay with them. At the moment, they entered the classroom, they directly went to their seat. Seeing their attitude, Talia narrowed her eyes. ‘Quite distant if their intention is to remain friends...Well, maybe they are overwhelmed even if I don’t think it’s the real reason.’

Talia sat in her seat, just beside Sanya’s. They chatted until the course started. The other students also had resumed their discussion, but the topic obviously changed. Not long after, the teacher came in. The first period was physics, which was taught by a middle-aged short man. But, there seemed to be a problem as when he came in, his face was covered with sweats. He scanned the room with a tense until his eyes landed on Talia. He took a few seconds before finally speaking.

“T-Talia Chevalier, the headmaster wants to see you after school.” Talia was not really surprised by this.

‘After yesterday’s commotion, it would be strange if the school was not aware of what happened. I still need to know who gave the key card to Sarah, so it’s quite a good opportunity. If I get to know it, I could pass the information to Darius.’ Sarah had surely gotten the Chamber’s key card from someone in the school, meaning that they were people in the school who helped in the bullies. If Talia wanted to make the school a nice place, some cleaning would be needed.

“Sure.” She lightly replied with a calm smile. Whispers spread throughout the room. Sanya looked sideways at Talia. However, she was very worried. Talia was now the type of person that would meet with the head of the state. So, it was not a common headmaster that could cause trouble. After this, the teacher gave his lesson with a bit of awkwardness.

Time passed, and it was time for lunch break. Talia and Sanya were going to the cafeteria, followed by Williams and Arthur. The two girls were holding hands as always in quite a romantic way. Williams had to avert his gaze in order to remain calm. Talia and Sanya decided to not hide the fact that they were dating. Of course, they would not start shouting it everywhere, but if someone asked them, they would honestly answer.

As they were walking, Talia caught a glimpse of the weather outside. The sky started to darken. Tiny droplets of water were dropping on the surface of the windows. ‘It will rain…I will contact Darius just after school.’

Talia then looked at her happy little girlfriend. ‘I hope she really has a short under her skirt.’

The meal was also quite awkward, but this didn’t stop Talia from eating a large number of sweets. She took a small pouch from her bag. The pouch seemed to be made out of leather or something like that. She untied the lace and opened it. The thing that she took out from it was a small multi-colored marble. It almost looked like a crystal bead. The other three looked at her with faces full of interrogation. Suddenly, Talia put the bead in her mouth. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed it. It seemed that it was a candy after all.

Sanya looked at it curiously. She had known Talia since quite a bit, and through her, she had heard of a lot of sweet varieties. It was not an exaggeration to say that Talia was quite knowledgeable in this field. However, Sanya had never seen her eating this kind before. Talia noticed her gaze and took out another one. She then handed it to her.

“Here, try it. It’s really delicious.” Her smile reached her ears. Sanya took the candy and looked at it from different angles.

‘It really looks like a crystal bead...If Talia ate it, it means that it should be edible, right?’ Sanya decided to try it. She placed the candy in her mouth. Suddenly, a torrent of unknown favor assaulted her! The candy melted on the tongue with a simple contact with the saliva, causing flowing liquid to spread inside her mouth.

‘Oh my god...It’s sweet! Too sweet!’ Sanya drank the melted candy. The taste was very similar to fruits, but she was pretty sure it was not fruits from this world. However, this was not the most important thing. The thing was that it was extremely sweet! Sanya had tried a lot of candies, but she was sure that it was the one with the largest proportion of sugar. She looked at the pouch and gulped. Noticing her, Talia pulled another one out.

“This is called Zinlan. From the place it comes from, Zin means ‘star’ and lan means ‘candy’. I have several dozens of pouch like that. You want another one?” Sanya started to extend her hand, but she stopped in the middle.

‘I want to eat it...But, if I continue, I will not be able to stop!’ Sanya was clearly worried about her weight. Unlike Talia, it was easy for her to put on weight. So, if she started to eat them now, she would not be able to stop. Truth to be told, Sanya was already thin, but it was because she limited her consumption of sugar.

Talia saw her reaction and faked a sad face. “You don’t like it… I especially bought a bunch because I thought you might like it…”

“Then, say ahh.” The blue haired girl bloomed into a smile as she held the candy up to her mouth. Sanya blushed and tried to refuse, but Talia’s hand was firm in front of her. In the end, she gave in. Her mouth opened as she closed her eyes. Talia with a slightly red face approached her slim fingers from her lips. The top of the fingers touched the surface of the lips as the candy made its way in. Sanya slightly opened her eyelids as to see her lover burning face. On the other side, Talia could hear her girlfriend’s bated breathing and her pounding heart. She focused all her senses in order to delicately place the tiny crystal marble on her thin tongue. The moment the candy touched the wet tongue, it started to melt, becoming a very sweet liquid. In response to the tasteful flavor, Sanya reflexively closed her mouth, making Talia’s fingers her prisoners. Talia’s eyes went wide when she felt the warmth at her fingertips. Sanya swallowed the melted candy and realized that Talia’s fingers were still inside her mouth. She released them with a crimson face and waited for Talia’s reaction. Talia looked at the wet and hot tips for a second before sticking out her own tongue and licking it clean. When she finished, she simply said one word.

“Delicious.”

Sanya was agape, her expression shocked. Talia finally placed her head in her palms as embarrassment stuck her. “I-I-If you get embarrassed by what you did, why would you do it in the first place?!”

“...”

Williams and Arthur were across the table and they saw absolutely everything. They were at loss for words. Williams’ first reaction was not even jealousy. It was shock. Same for Arthur. Same for all the ones who saw it. But, if they had any doubts about their relationships, it was clear now.

The lunch break ended in a weird way.
