《Kindred》Chapter 79 - Miss is Pouting With Misty Eyes

After we left the hall and the angry Master behind, Mommy took us to the arena where the fights will be held.
There are small viewing stands all over the arena and a few private rooms.
Mommy took us to one of those rooms.
She said it's thanks to her position.
I wonder what position did she mean?
Mommy is not the first wife, she doesn't have a position in the government nor she has some kind of special duty in the family.
Mommy's awesomeness is a mystery.
The people are still gathering, only half of the viewing stands are occupied.
Knock, knock.
Suddenly, knocking sounds can be heard from the other side of the door.
"Come in." Mommy says.
A maid opens the door, walks in, politely bows before Mommy and says,
"Servant greets Lady Mina. We have brought refreshments, asking for permission to bring them in."
Mommy looks at me.
"Awu?" Hmm?
"Are you hungry?" She asks.
"Awuwu!" I'm starving!
"Alright, bring it in." Mommy says to the maid.
"Certainly." The maid bows down again and leaves the room.
She quickly returns pushing a food trolley with three more maids behind her carrying trays.
Before long, the table in the room is set up with various food.
Not that it matters to me, but I'm glad Miss can have a balanced diet even he-
- Miss don't avert your gaze from the food!
"Awuu!" Eat! You can't fight on an empty stomach!
... Miss caught me glaring at her.
I'm sorry...
"Lady Mina, please enjoy the meal. If there's something you need just call for us." The maids bow before Mommy and leave the room.
"Cheeky brat..." Sophia suddenly says something rude.
"Ah, well. As expected of the former Tinesia's personal maid?" Mommy says while tilting her head innocently. Cute.

... Eh?
I unconsciously came over and hugged her...
"What's wrong? Are you trying to make Meira jealous? If you do, you are doing a great job, see?" Mommy says while pointing at Miss.
Miss is pouting with misty eyes.
... Miss is so cute.
If I wasn't being in Mommy prison I would probably be patting her head by now.
Bam!
The closed door suddenly opens again.
"Mom!" A familiar figure suddenly bursts in.
"Oh, Eleanor. You came. You are full of vigor as always." Mommy greets Eleanor. The Fourth Miss and Mommy's second oldest daughter.
"Yes, Mom!... L, Lady Sophia, nice to see you again..." Fourth Miss's vigor instantly decreases at sight of Sophia.
"The pleasure's mine." Sophia says, cooly. So cool.
Her gaze then falls on me in Mommy's embrace.
Rather, did she notice me just now?
Even though I was on Mommy's lap?
......
After noticing me, she scans the room and her gaze falls on Miss.
"You came, little sister." Fourth Miss says sweetly with a slight blush.
Wait, what?

The subtle World of Terraria
Evan Langford, wakes up one day to find himself in the game world of Terraria. Confused with no understanding on how he got there, he slowly brings himself up and swears that if there is a way how he got into this place, then there must be a way on how he can get out of this place. He already knows all the inn's and out's of Terraria, how hard can it be? He then realizes that all is not what it seems since there are skills, stats, different races, a working community and many more things that aren't present in Terraria. Which begs the question. Is he really in Terraria? Note: 1) Cover art was made by a friend of mine for this story and I have his permission to use it. Thank you, @centryNEL2) I wrote this story a long time ago when I was still an aspiring writer but it was really bad so I'm re-writing it here.3) While this is a fanfiction about a game, you don't need to know anything about the game to enjoy this story as almost everything is explained in a simple way that even those who have not heard of Terraria will enjoy this story.

Death Galaxy
When portals opened across the world and space, people were a bit terrified. Naturally, some people called it the end times or some other negative interpretation. Thankfully, the new arrivals managed to calm the masses, saying they were here from across dimensions in search of peaceful refuge. After some discussion and promise from the reality hopers to not break the world, they were allowed asylum. And so, began a technological revolution as the new cohabitants, who looked distinctly human if a bit off, openly shared some of their knowledge with us. Space travel, while not cakewalks, become more easily accessible, as did interplanetary colonization. Naturally, with the New Humans keeping some of the more dangerous techs to themselves and Old Humans being a greedy bunch, tensions are arising as old and new grudges rear their ugly heads. The world endlessly spins as history, both good and bad, is seemingly on its way to repeating itself. Only with other planets, and potentially other universes, being the backdrop this time. But that was big stuff that Alex had no real interest in. They only care about one thing and one thing. TDAG. Trans-Dimensional Adventure Games. Best VR system ever made. Alex, instead of focusing on political and multiverse shenanigans, had their eyes set on VR games. Specifically, one of the new and up and coming potential best games of all times. Death Galaxy

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
