《Ant in Magic World.》Ch -61

he king or was it even the king anymore, because he seriously didn’t look like him at all.
His face was replaced by a worm like mouth with rows and rows of mandible rotating inside; ready to churn any and everything into paste. His body grew so tall that his head was touching the ceiling. A worm like tail swayed to the right and left behind him and thousands of legs grew below his worm like body. Or one could say that the legs of those thousands of ants appeared at the bottom.
His antennas had grown so long that they looked more like two giant tentacles with a heavy club like end than like anything they were before.
Though I said his body was like a worm, but instead of a squishy soft body, the exoskeletons of those thousands of zombies were covering him from top and bottom like the scales of a dragon.
And like a snake he had two eyes, very big compound eyes made from the collection of all those zombie eyes.
The moment he appeared from the egg, a dread different than the one I had felt from the king made me sweat. A pressure telling me to bow down to him and give him my life made my soul tremble, but I held out against it.
[Stable mid has risen to lv 5]
But the soldiers and civilians present weren’t able to handle it, and suddenly tens of ants committed suicide.
But I didn’t notice that. Because I was too busy appraising him and acting stunned.

“WHAAAT~!” this was my reaction seeing his status. And why wouldn’t it be? He had jumped to rank fourth directly from third. But that wasn’t all.
“NOW WE WILL SEE, WHO WINS THE FIGHT!” was his excited shout.
“What the hell!”
“Wha-what are we going to do now?”
“Like hell I know!”
Was the reaction from all the civilians and soldier who looked at the him in fear. Someone who looked nothing like an ant.

Seeing that everyone was cowering from his presence alone, the various captains tried to help them rise, but…
“Everyone don’t falter, fight. Let’s not…”
The two vicious looking tentacles of his moved liked living beings toward the ground, and…
*Bang*
They fell like meteors onto the ground and created giant craters. Ground trembled and moved up and down uncontrollably. Hundreds of soldiers, who could do nothing other than spectacle their king discovering his inner monster, got crushed by the weight of the clubs at the ends of his antennas.
Workers and soldiers prayed to god together holding their breaths, hoping that the antennas won’t move again, unfortunately, instead of stopping, the antennas became furious and continued to drop death on the heads of all the ants, until finally the commander used his telekinesis and stopped them in mid air.
“Everyone spread out. Don’t let his attacks hit you, and attack from long range.”
Commander’s order spread the masses like wild fire and everyone spread across the room. All the civilians were made to leave the room through the various tunnels, and the previously congested room finally had enough room for everyone to spread out in.
Yes, troop’s motivation and numbers both had deteriorated enough to make facing their new and big enemy even difficult.
“Captains, try to hold him and everyone else attack!” Commander ordered, but the results were devastating. None could so much as touch him. A thousand ant soldiers died in the first ten minutes alone.
The captains who tried to get near him got swept away by the furious needle attacks from his ever growing hairs, and the two club like antennas hovering over our heads like death.
While all the attacks from long range; like fireballs and the like were stopped mid way by some kind of a barrier.
“FUCK…! It’s not working!”
“How the hell are we supposed to kill him?”
“What do we do now!?”
No matter how the soldiers struggled to attack the king, nothing worked against him. Magic attacks stopped by the barrier. Physical attacks stopped by the antennas. It was like fighting against a fortress. And then there was also his scaled armor. Who knew how strong that was!?
“Haha… How is it? Are you having fun? Let me show you my new power. This body is great! It is so…”
But he wasn’t the only one who laughed. I laughed with him.
“Fu~ haaha…”
And all the eyes concentrated on me.
While he had wasted his time playing with everyone else and not used his most dangerous skills like the [Death Beam] and the like, I had finally regenerated enough mana to show him what killed the cat.
“What are you laughing for!?” He yelled. At least it sounded like that, but I couldn’t stop laughing looking at his horrible condition and his fierce look.
Even his big size and dangerous visage failed to make me feel the horror of being in his presence, because for me, he was already a dead ant.

Everyone around me looked at me in astonishment, as I shaking my head, pointed my antennas at him spoke with a smiling face, “It was nice knowing you, but you don’t belong here with us. Kings should die after impregnating the queen. Not roam around waving their dangerous weapon against their own family. Anyways… goodbye. [Cancel]”
And the barrier which didn’t as much as get a crack after being bombarded by hundreds and thousands of skills blew away into tiny shinning particles, like someone had poked a needle into a balloon.
And why wouldn’t it? My [Cancel] was a second tier skill specialized in taming magical skills.
{Cancel has risen to lv 3}
I could see question marks floating over his and others confused heads. Surely, I would have loved to let them soak it in and then act, but we didn’t have time for that shit.
Hi barrier probably had a cool down after getting broken, and I wanted to get it over with. I was already sick of zombies.
“Ha… what are you all waiting for? Attack and kill him while his barrier is down!”
And hearing that hundreds and thousands of red, green, yellow, lights flew toward the king, but before they struck him I decided to give him my farewell present to him.
“You should also know how your minions felt burning up without losing their conscious.”
And with all of my mana left, I evoked a [Heal] at him.
“GOODBYE my liege… [HEAL]~”
{Heal has risen to lv 20}
And the golden glow of [Heal] covered his seven something centimeter long body.
“FUc…” a white fire erupted on his body and all the skills and even more struck his body; exploding like fireworks, lighting the place in multiple colored lights.
“FUCK…!”
“WHHAA~”
The king roared in pain. Creating a sound wave with the power of his voice alone and then the second wave of skills hit him.
*Boom*Boom*Boom*
He fell face first onto the ground, and a geyser of black blood erupted from his mouth. The healing properties of my [Heal] tried to heal him back to his original shape, but is body got distorted more and more as time passed.
His big eyes had long ago burned away, leaving behind two deep and dark pits, while his legs failed to support him as they swell from getting third degree burns and exploded under his weight.
Like every other ant, his exoskeleton bubbled up and cracked apart like he was being heated over a million degrees fire.
“I’LL KILL YOU… I’LL KILL YOU… I’LL KILL YOU…!”
He yelled again and again, as the golden light continued to burn him, as the various skills from all the soldiers and captains continued to chip away at his health. And after half an hour of strenuous sitting around and looking at the fireworks, he finally gave away.
Though his antennas did try to kill everyone around, but commander took care of them and he didn’t move after that.
No matter how big he had gotten, he had become something too demonic after all.
Did I knew that [Heal] would work on him? Of course I did. I knew the moment I saw that his title and species had changed to parasitic that he will not be able to handle the effect of [Heal] at all.
Anyways, the leveling message that I was waiting for arrived and finally put a nail to his death.
{Level up}

There was no need to think. I was so depended on my speed that I didn’t think I would give it up for anything else.

Seeing the options a “Lucky” escaped my mouth.
All three of those options looked good. All of those species had their pros and cons, like the white ant was more in tune with the wind element while the bullet ant was more into using agility to fight with.
I liked them both, but the last one already had my heart. I couldn’t get my eyes away from its description, which said, ‘The fastest ant in the world.’
Happily slapping my face, I choose The Silver “Trap Jaw” ant and lost conscious.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
